Spammers.

Email after email after email from these scumbags and the unsubscribe option lasts for one week and then they just start coming again. I got FIVE EMAILS IN ONE HOUR from these jerks last night! I am so sick of these obnoxious spammers! And when you contact support all you get is some AI slop asking if you need support! As though people are just emailing support to say hello?! And when you DO finally reach a human, they tell you that they are not responsible for the emails that they send!

DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE IF YOU VALUE…

DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE IF YOU VALUE MAKING MONEY IN YOUR BUSINESS

Imagine this, you’re a growing company with a small committed team. You’re selling online and use live events to do so. You sign up for crowd cast due to them paying for ads and the software has some nice features. You setup a live event 4 weeks out and commit to spending $150k in ad spend to drive people to that event. The morning of the event comes, the team is all together and fired up, you log into crowd cast, enter the green room, count to 10 calm the nerves and hit GO LIVE….go live…..go live…..go live…..nothing. It just spins. $150k worth of paid leads are waiting. You scramble, you reach out to crowd cast support, “well respond hours from now” … great. What do we do? We scramble to zoom, send out a quick email blast. Now our expected 20-30% show rate drops to maybe 5-10% if we’re lucky. Literally taking our ad spend, and throwing almost half of it out the window. YES this is real, YES this happened to us. Crowdcast is a tempting platform, do not fall for it. No other platform we’ve used in the past has failed us in those moments, that’s the reality in this industry. Crowdcast is unreliable, and buggy (automating registrants from your own opt in form is a nightmare that every other platform seems to have figured out). Yes this is OUR experience and I’m sure there are some great reviews out there. But how can you operate a business knowing that your MAIN SALES MECHANISM has a known failure rate far above other platforms. Run from this company.

We’re genuinely sorry for the experience described here and understand how disruptive it is when a live event doesn’t go as planned - especially during a high-stakes launch.

To provide some context for readers: this customer experienced a critical issue during one session of a multi-session event. We acknowledged the failure immediately, carried out an internal investigation, made relevant platform changes, and issued a refund at the time.

10 months later, the customer realized that they had not canceled their account. When they contacted us, we acted in good faith and issued a three-month refund, despite this being outside our standard refund policy.

Live streaming is complex, and while Crowdcast is used successfully by thousands of creators every year, we know that even rare failures can have an outsized impact. We take incidents like this seriously and use them to improve platform reliability, monitoring, and support responsiveness.

We’re sorry we couldn’t regain this customer’s trust, but we stand behind the way our team handled the situation - with transparency, accountability, and fairness - and we remain committed to providing a stable, reliable platform and responsive support for our customers.

Crowdcast has been a wonderful asset to The Arlington Institute in our programs to reach a wider audience! It allowed us to seamlessly livestream from our physical events in Berkeley Springs.

Easy, simple, effective.

I appreciate the easy registration and auto reminders for participants. Controls/settings/functions are intuitive.
Using supplemental sound tech is easy as well. Quality of both video stream and sound is good.

Perfect for livestreaming

Perfect for livestreaming - plus great features that improve the quality for those who can't make it live. It's very easy to manage questions from the audience, and audio/video quality has worked great. I've brought on a number of guests to the streams, and having never used the platform before they've easily been able to figure it out.

I hosted my first webinar on crowdcast…

I hosted my first webinar on crowdcast and it was amazing. My audio and video was clear and I had no problems uploading my slides or engaging with my audience via the chat. I was able to deliver my webinar with confidence. Also, I love that I can continue to market my webinar with the replay.

Test event... unusable

The platform seemed promising but the experience was awful... Luckily it was a trial account.
As a host you cannot even get a list of the attendees emails! You can only see their nicknames, so they could be anyone.
Plus, attendees have many many ways to leave the webinar (and visiting Crowdcast website... even creating their own webinar during yours)

These are just 2 of the negative points, I don't recommend

Hi Dalmy

I'm sorry to hear your test experience with Crowdcast didn’t meet expectations. Just to clarify a couple of points for others reading:
You absolutely can download a full list of attendees, including email addresses, at any time from your event. It’s a core feature used by thousands of hosts.

Regarding attendee behaviour: we believe attendees should always have the freedom to leave an event, just like they would in person. Forcing people to stay wouldn’t make for a respectful or productive experience.

We appreciate all feedback as we continually improve the platform. If you’d like tailored onboarding tips to get the most from Crowdcast, we’d love to help.

clunky and out dated

compared to youtube, it feels like I have gone back 10 years using crowdcast.

download the video for offline viewing, with a transcript.. is either impossible are ultra tedious.

does not help people wanting to follow new and innovated content providers.

I'm sorry for any confusion about how Crowdcast works as an attendee of an event.

Unlike platforms like YouTube, downloading videos is not a feature, as event hosts control access to their content. Crowdcast is designed for live, interactive events with replay access rather than on-demand video downloads.

However, we appreciate your feedback and are always working to improve the platform.

Crowdcast is by far and away the best…

Crowdcast is by far and away the best online video platform to host a wide range of webinars, online video webcasts, presentations, and entire multilayered events. It can handle anything from 10,000 + attendees, right down to very small intimate meetings, and it simple to use.
I've helped to host hundreds of events for others, and many for myself, and in the process have tested all competitors. None even come close to Crowdcast for ease of use and flexibility.

Most events I host are livestreamed out to all social channels, have up to 10 guests on screen, and require full HD video resolution.

Long term user of Crowdcast and I love it

Long term user of Crowdcast and I love it so much that, as well as still using it every week for my own events.. I joined the company! But this is still my honest personal opinion. Crowdcast is a really easy-to-use platform for hosting live events. It's straightforward to build and run simple events but also very sophisticated if you want to take your events to the next level!

No way to delete an account once you…

No way to delete an account once you (or a gambling site) signs you up. Avoid.
Edit - no provided or documented way, but out of fairness I have to say that complaining to them in their chat app did get the account deleted within 24 hours. Not exactly easy, but not techincaly impossible.

Very stable

I am hosting a webinar at least every second Sunday from September to November and again from January to May.

I have been using Crowdcast for a couple of years, now.

The servers are generally stable, when I use the recording, these are mostly fine (it depends also of the quality of your connection) and there are very interesting functionalities like marking the place where you answer a question so in the replay, people can jump directly to the answer of an asked question.

The price is fair. Definitly cheaper than many other for a better quality of sound, picture and possibilities.

When I started, a couple of years ago, I had a problem once (I don't remember which one exactly). At the end of each webinar, when you stop the sending, you can put a thumb up if it went well or a thumb down if it didn't and write what the problem was.

I did that and a few hours later, I was contacted by support who helped me. Support is fine (but I only needed it once, I must say).

All in all, a very fair webinar set up, works well at a fair price.

Why only 4 stars and not 5? Because I often miss the abilities to move things around on screen, you have only one way to split screen (with a screen share and a camera, for example) and I miss more possibilities to present. And some things have disappeared from version 1 to version 2 like the possibility of participant not seeing how many they are and who they are (it might have gone to an other plan but I don't want to pay extra in version 2 for something that was included in version 1).

Therefore the four stars.

BAD EXPERIENCE

We hosted an event on crowdcast. My account was deleted 30 minutes before we went live with absolutely no support.
They're only available on slack on US hours, we're a European startup.

They have blown up a very big event for us. We worked for 2 months in order to get it together.

Very disappointed. Don't subscribe.
