They were incredibly expensive to just remove a couple of raccoons and some babies. They tried to get me to agree to $2500! I said no and he kept coming down u til we agreed to $680. Then after they removed the adults, they didn’t come back for the babies. I called 5 times and emailed once with out a single return call from the technician, the supervisor or management. This company is a joke. Beware

Deceptive Company, Harassment After Cancellation

My 83 year old mother heard a noise in the attic and called Critter Control. A salesman came out, showed her a sample contract for a squirrel infestation. He talked her into electronically signing the contract because he couldn't get one downloaded for a rat infestation. He promised to send her a PDF copy of the contract. He didn't. He promised to walk her through signing onto their document server. He didn't. He made very sure to have her sign the cancellation policy, which must take place within 3 business days. Interestingly enough, the cancellation notice had blanks for where the cancellation notice was to be sent. The notice said that no money would be owed if the contract was canceled within the 3 business day time period.

We filled out the notice using the address for the corporate headquarters from the letterhead on the contract, I took time stamped pictures of it and all other paperwork. Our 3 business days included a holiday weekend, but we sent it certified mail postmarked within the time frame. We received the return receipt.

Shortly after that Critter Control tried to charge my mother's credit card for services. We disputed the charges with the verified proof of cancellation and they found in our favor.

Now, Critter Control continues to harass my mother. They've sent their service vehicles, which have GPS tracking, to park down the street from our house, the technician never exiting the truck. However, Critter Control claims that the technician is servicing our house. We have time stamped pictures of the service trucks as well.

Now, they have some young woman calling out of Dallas ... Critter Control is headquartered in Georgia, so more than likely she's working on a commission basis for collections.

WARNING: Critter Control uses deceptive methods. They frighten senior citizens into signing ridiculously high contracts and then don't do the work. They told us they were putting bait boxes in the attic. All they did was put unbaited spring traps up there.

Every time you call the Critter Control number, they forward the call to a local commission based salesperson randomly. You get a new person every time you call. And they will all lie to you. When I told one woman that I'd read complaints that they refused to cancel contracts, she told me "That's because they were doing it the wrong way by emailing. You're doing it the right way by calling. I'll have my manager call you by 5pm."

According to the contract, it must be cancelled by mail within 3 business days, so she bald faced lied to us. And naturally, we never heard from any manager. Their goal seems to be to keep you calling and emailing, anything to keep you from sending a snail mail cancellation within the 3 business days. Remember, their own contract had blank lines for where the cancellation was to be mailed, and they prey on the elderly.

Our next step is to get a lawyer to send a cease and desist letter to them.

Don't let this happen to you or to an elderly relative. Protect them and yourselves from this crooked company.

Squirrel situation

I had a suspected squirrel nest situation on my condo balcony. The mother squirrel was extremely aggressive. I called Critter Control and they were the ONLY company that came out without excuses about scheduling an appointment.
The gentleman sent out was Brandon A. and he was terrific! He did indeed find the nest, and he humanely handled the aggressive mother squirrel situation too! I had to submit the receipt to the HOA and Brandon got all my necessary paperwork to me expeditiously so I could get reimbursed!
I will DEFINITELY recommend and use Critter Control again, and I will request Brandon A. for sure!👍
