Built a full wardrobe… no regrets
I’ve ended up accidentally building a full Crewroom wardrobe at this point… and I can’t say I’m disappointed about it at all!
Most recently I picked up the North West track pants (blue in XS and black in S) and a couple of pairs of the No Fuss Legging II (navy glitch and black) in the Easter sale. Everything fits beautifully and feels really well made.
I also already own a few North West hoodies, which I absolutely adore. The fabric is incredibly soft and cosy, and I pretty much live in them. They work just as well for training as they do for everyday wear.
I’ve tried a lot of rowing kit brands over the years, and Crewroom stands out not just for quality, but also for value. Some of my older pieces have lasted for years and still hold their shape and feel great even after a lot of washes, which is where other brands have let me down.
I also picked up the Yeti fleece gilet at WeHoRR and it’s become my go-to for that awkward “not quite jacket, not quite t-shirt” weather.
A big plus for me is the fit. Especially as a woman, it actually feels like the kit is designed to fit properly rather than just scaled up or down.
Overall, it’s comfy, durable, great value, and very easy to justify buying “just one more thing”, which is how I got here. I’ve already got a few more items on the way and can’t wait for them to arrive!
I’ve personally only had really positive experiences so far - super helpful and friendly 🙏🏻

Crewroom quality has dropped massively
Crewroom quality has dropped massively. They used to supply quality rowing kit. When I ordered 2x identical elite shorts, firstly the wrong size arrived, the replacement then arrives in a completely different shade of blue, and the logo was in different places. A piece of plastic was also attached to the shorts around the logo, left over from manufacture. I was told “we don’t offer a colour matching service”. It is not at unreasonable expectation that if 2x identical products are ordered, they are the same! They blamed their “warehouse partner” (Chinese dropshipper perhaps, judging by the quality). I’ll never buy from Crewroom again, which is a shame as the old stuff I have from them is great.

Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry your disappointed with your items on this occasion.
It is regrettable that one of the initial pairs of shorts you purchased from our outlet in the sale had been tagged with the wrong size label. We can only apologise for the error, now we have the shorts back they have now been tagged correctly to avoid this issue happening again.
The shorts you purchased were of an old design produced between 2021 and 2024 and were heavily discounted stock clearance Easter sale lines, and unfortunately the Navy Colour across this 4 year production period was not colour matched and you have received two pairs of Navy shorts from sperate production runs.
I can assure you we do not use a Chinese Drop shipper but hold all our Crewroom stock in the UK between our shop in Putney and our UK based warehouse partner.

Size and Quality
The size does not correspond with everything else I own and the quality of the leggings is not as good as others I own for example Nike and sweaty Betty.

The New Rowing Leggings are in the sale as an end of line product at £29.00.
We are aware the New Rowing Leggings are not true to size , and have ensured this is detailed clearly on our web site recommending that customers do size up when buying these leggings.
Since these leggings were produced over a year ago we have implemented new controls on all our garment production to ensure we do not experience the same size issue. Our Essential legging, and water resistant leggings launched after the production on New Rowing leggings do not have the same sizing issue.

I bought what was described as Padded…
I bought what was described as Padded Ergo Shorts, however they are cycling shorts. The padding is in the completely wrong place for the Ergo, but perfect for cycling, in fact the positioning of the padding is exactly the same as my cycling shorts.

Essential Igloo Jacket
I ordered an Essential Igloo Jacket, during the dry summer, and was looking forward to using it.
When the rain finally came, I put it on, the zip was difficult to do up but that didn’t bother me too much. After a little while being in the rain I found that water had seeped through the seams and it wasn’t particularly windproof.
I was told that the zip was why it was in the sale, which I’m willing to accept. What I’m not willing to accept is that it was advertised as wind and water proof and it actually isn’t.
I was told that I’d had it too long to return it when I’d finally had the chance to test it out. Crewroom weren’t willing to accept the item back to test what I have told them. This is a complete waste of £50 and has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

Great Kit, Awful Customer Service
Crewroom's kit is really good quality and a cut above the usual competitors. Nice fit and well made.
Unfortunately, their customer service is awful.
I ordered (#54109) a couple of items I needed quickly on their express 2-day delivery (£7.95). Over a week and a half later, they still haven't come. I've emailed several times, and left phone messages. I eventually managed to get hold of someone, who really didn't seem that bothered and to call back if it hadn't come in two weeks' time.
With service like that, we may as well order from JL or 776 in the US and take the hit on the delivery.

I am sorry that your parcel has not been delivered as it should, not our usual level of customer service. Our express service is via Royal Mail 24 and your parcel was sent correctly on the same day as you placed the order. Royal Mail are generally very good but on this occasion they have failed to update the tracking since despatch and have not responded to our repeated requests for an update.
I have asked the warehouse today to despatch a second parcel to you and will advise of the new tracking details once confirmed.

Great customer service
The article I wanted to buy was only available in 2 sizes, XS and M and while I was ordering somebody must have been a tick faster ordering the M size. I only noticed that I bought an XS size after hitting the "buy" botton. I contacted customer service, got a very quick answer and my order was cancelled and refunded straight away. I bought 2 leggings after this and are very happy with the product and of course the excellent customer service.
