I generally like my Cowboy bike, but I’m giving it 3 stars because of two disappointing issues. I bought the bike about a year ago (or slightly less), and after just one month of use, the pai... See more

Worst company i dealt with.
I've ordered a Cowboy bike back on 28th of November 2024 with a promised delivery date in Feb/Mar 2025. After waiting for several additional months and constant promises from customer support that my bike will be delivered soon, i still haven't received the bike i ordered.
So on 11th of August 2025 i've canceled my order, and according to the cancelation email and EU laws, i should have received my refund within 14 days.
Now it's April 2026 - and i still didn't get my money back. I've tried contacting CS several times, and they've been repeating the same thing over and over again: "we understand how frustrating that is, but your refund request will be handled soon".
So after almost 1,5 years of waiting i'm left without the bike nor the money. I've contacted Dutch small cases court to handle this issue, and hopefully it will get the things moving.
But if you ever think about buying a Cowboy bike - don't do that. Cause you will just loose your money. Cowboy will either ignore you or give you some ai-generated reply, while stealing your money.

Awful. Constant changing delivery times. If you buy anything from cowboy, take the estimated delivery time and then 20x that. I order a simple battery (€500) in November 2025 and its been pushed back 3/4 times now (Now mid April 2026). The last email received says they now dont even know when that battery will be delivered. Get your s**t together before you start taking peoples money. This isnt how you do business.

Cowboy still makes good bikes and many of their parts are genuinely high quality, but the overall customer experience has become harder to defend because of ongoing delays and uncertainty around parts availability.
The main issue is not that supply problems exist. These things happen. The real problem is how they are communicated. When production is behind and certain parts are difficult to get, customers need clear, direct, and honest information. Vague estimates, overly optimistic timelines, or saying what people want to hear in the moment only damages trust further when those expectations are not met.
Cowboy would benefit from being far more transparent on its website and in customer communication. If specific parts are not available at time, say so clearly. If customized components such as motors are harder to source and replace, explain that properly. Customers can accept bad news much more easily than unclear or unrealistic promises.
A practical improvement would be for Cowboy to open up more channels for parts distribution. Where possible, they should work with trusted external distributors or approved service partners so customers can access certain parts faster instead of being forced to wait through one narrow supply route. Even if some specialized components remain difficult to source, there are likely other parts that could be made available more quickly through a broader network.
There is still a solid product underneath all of this. Cowboy bikes remain decent, well-designed bikes with strong potential. But right now, transparency, credibility, and realistic communication need serious attention. Honesty may lead to frustrated reactions in the short term, but it is still far better than creating false expectations and disappointing people later.
In short: good bikes, decent quality, but the communication around parts availability and delivery expectations needs to improve significantly.

The order took a very long time, but fair enough. The bike is great, and afterwards I had a few problems with the insurance due to my own fault. Cowboy really took care of everything, which was excellent. That is exactly how it should be. Now summer is coming and I am looking forward to riding the bike.

This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.
There is absolutely no customer support. I have contacted them multiple times and received zero response. My Cruiser bike has been “in transit” for over a month, and I still have no updates, no explanation, and no confirmed delivery date.
At this point, this is not a delay. it’s a complete failure in service. Customers are being ignored, and there is no transparency.
I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering, unless you are willing to deal with poor communication, no support, and endless waiting with no answers.

Worst company ever. I have a c3. Was a great bike untill my front vork broke. I contacted cowboy about it and they said to contact a supplier i n Amsterdam. I went through the list on their website and all of them told me that they don't work with Cowboy anymore. Which is very weird I think. So I ordered the vork at cowboy. I've been told that it's on stock, yet i don't hear anything else. Even though I contacted them many times. I am still waiting and can't use the bike.
An answer to the response:
Thank you for your response, but I have to be direct: it does not address my situation in any useful way.
To summarize where things stand:
- My Cowboy C3 fork is broken and the bike is unusable.
- I contacted your recommended service partners in Amsterdam. All of them told me they no longer work with Cowboy.
- I ordered the fork directly through Cowboy and was told it is in stock.
- Despite multiple follow-ups, I have received no shipping confirmation, no tracking number, and no delivery date.
I am now formally requesting the following, in writing, within 5 business days:
1. The exact date my order will be shipped.
2. A tracking number once dispatched.
If I do not receive a concrete response by that date, I will file a complaint with the ACM (Autoriteit Consument & Markt), initiate a chargeback with my bank, and share my experience publicly on more relevant platforms.
I am not looking for another apology. I am looking for my fork.

A warm welcome from the bike mechanic, clear explanations of how to use the bike, and a transparent sharing of ideas.

Very disappointing experience with Cowboy.
My order (#286706) was confirmed on 4 December 2024, and to this day I am still waiting for both the delivery and the installation. My order overview listed an estimated delivery date of 7 December 2025, and that date is now also several months behind us, without delivery and without any concrete installation appointment.
What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of clear and meaningful communication. I have contacted Cowboy multiple times, but I still have not received a concrete answer regarding:
the final delivery date
the installation date
who my dedicated contact person is
what concrete solution or compensation will be offered for this excessive delay
After such a long waiting period, I would expect at the very least a clear and binding timeline together with proactive communication. So far, that has not happened.
I still hope Cowboy will resolve this quickly and properly, but at this point I unfortunately cannot recommend this experience to others.
update:
Thank you for your reply, but this still does not address the actual issue.
I have still not received:
* a confirmed delivery date
* an installation date
* a dedicated contact person
* any concrete compensation proposal
After months of delay, a general explanation about operational changes is simply not enough. What is needed now is a clear and binding solution for order #286706.

I bought a Cowboy 4 ST in 2022 and it was great until it was recalled for a product defect in May 2025. Nearly a year on, my £2500 bike is now unusable, and bike shops won’t fix even unrelated issues because of the recall.
I’ve been patient, but there’s still no clear timeline for a fix. On top of that, it’s basically impossible to speak to an actual person - just an AI chatbot and FAQ links that don’t help.
This is really poor customer service for a premium product. I’m left without a usable bike due to a manufacturing defect, with no meaningful updates and no offer of any interim solution or compensation.
Many thanks for Thomas lightning fast support!
Cowboy is back. I’ve been a Cruiser owner for a few years, didn’t have issue with the bike but did read online about difficulties with customer support. A few weeks ago had a small issue with my rear wheel. Chat with a representative (after the chatbot initially) was quick and responsive. Warranty was confirmed without problems and the part shipped out after three weeks, which I consider quick enough personally.
Great to experience that they seem to be picking up business well, and parts are available!
Sebastien treated us with respect and kindness!

It is the best bike I have ever bought. I have already cycled nearly 11,000 kilometers without any problems. I would recommend it!

It took some time, but it was a more complicated problem that could be solved, and ultimately it was resolved. The contact was always very friendly and helpful.

I ordered a Cowboy Cruiser, and it's been a wonderful bike overall. I do not live in a city, so I used to take my car everywhere that was not within walking distance. With my bike, I've reduced that with over 1000km in a year that I've spent on my bike. So it's taken me out of my car and into a healthier way of getting around. Extra credit for all the compliments I've gotten because of how cool my bike looks.
The riding experience is great. The adaptive mode just "feels" when I want to push myself a bit more, or when I expect the bike to do a little more of the work. The thing just works.
The app has been a good addition to the riding experience. I always use the in-app navigation because it's a bit more accurate than regular Google Maps somehow.
Maybe, three points of feedback:
1. It would be nice if the in-app navigation would somehow be able to focus more on the bike-highways we have here in Flanders or at least have an "avoid main roads" suggestion or something. Not all main roads have good cycling paths, and I'd rather spend an extra 5 to 10 min of travel time taking backroads or bike-highways to avoid them.
2. I'd, personally, preferred to have had the option to order the bike with tires with a 'regular' profile instead of the more gravel-like tires.
3. In the past year, I've had a couple of times where the bluetooth didn't pick up and I've had to go through the troubleshoot page. Only happened 2 or 3 times, so not that big of a deal tbh.
Overall, just a happy costumer if I'm being honest.

I am waiting for over a year to get my money back. Cowboy doesn't respond to any of my mail any more. They refuse to give me my money back. I canceled the order a year ago and no refund. This is criminal!
