I had been passing by Cottman for years. I have been to just about every car shop in the Woodlands Area. I have always been over charged. Plus gotten my car back with things damaged. Jian and Mickelle provide a level of service and pricing that is second to none. They even fixed stuff for free that they had nothing to do with. I have a Jaguar so trust me I feel your pain. This my shop now. I send people to them on a regular basis for auto repairs.

Rebuilt the transmission in a 12 year old Buick 5 years ago that was important to keep for my partially disabled, 4' 7" , 70 year old wife - it "fit" her!. They promptly honored a warranted problem (a part). Very competitive price, competent work, friendly, on time and on estimate delivery. Five years later... we recently had a parts problem which was quickly diagnosed and repaired on schedule. They don't jump in and replace a lot of stuff to "cover" themselves. It's a very logical, step by step diagnosis that fixes the exact problem. They've also done great work for one of my son's.

Cottman of the Woodlands is an honest and trustworthy company. They have experienced transmission specialists who will get the job done right. I work on my own transmissions so I know enough to understand that these guys are professionals. Their knowledge level is through the roof. The owners, Gian and Mikhail, are kind, courteous, honest and up front. They will give you a fair price. They will not charge you for things you do not need. Expect an honest assessment of the causes of trouble with your vehicle. Cottman of the Woodlands will do honest and quality work for a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone who needs transmission repairs or rebuilds, as well as any other type of work done to their vehicle.

Fast service, excellect and friendly servce.

Ordered wrong transmission. Didn't actually look to see if they were ordering the right one. Add 3 days wait time. Right transmission came in and was installed, started slipping first day, 2 days later gave out on highway and truck overheated. $3200 for a bad week. Transmission still isn't fixed because of the holiday. Lost thousands because this truck was out of commission. Need some compensation for down time because of their incompetence!

Appreciate the honesty and following through on your word

I brought my truck to Cottman after another shop was unable to correct the problem with the transmission. The other shop had replaced a faulty sensor which improved the issue but did not correct it entirely. Cottman ran a diagnosis on the engine and also diagnosed the transmission. They also inspected the sensor that had been replaced and the sensor wiring and discovered a defect with the connector. After repairing the connector, everything functioned properly. In addition to this, I asked them to flush the transmission and replace the filter, which they did. Everything works excellently now and I was only charged for the engine diagnosis and the transmission flush. The transmission diagnosis was free and I was not charged for the work they did to actually correct the problem. Cottman has worked on at least 4 other vehicles for me and all my experiences with them have been excellent. They are honest, faifly priced, timely and don't try to sell you more service than you need. I would give them 6 stars if I could. I only wish I had taken my truck to them first.

Just moved into the area and I had a great experience there, spoke to the owner and he was very genuine with me and my daughter. Got the job done quick. Would recommend them to anyone else who needs there expertise.

They diagnosed our transmission and instead of putting money into the vehicle we decided to sell it. They were super curtious and understood our decision because the value of our vehicle was not more than the very reasonable cost of the repair. I will go back if needed!!
