I did this trip as a solo 32 year old and it was exactly what I was looking for: made incredible friends, saw some bucket list sites, and had a great time adventuring and learning about a new culture! I'm a seasoned traveler but this was so nice to sit back and let Contiki handle the logistics so I could just enjoy a holiday and not worry about getting tickets to tours or finding accommodations. Turkey is definitely slept on as a destination, and I loved that the trip was focused on culture and history instead of parties and drinking. We had fun as a group and we were able to also split off and have time to explore solo or in smaller groups. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see incredible places!
The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I think the itinerary could be reworked a tiny bit to allow more time in cool places and cut down on transit days. The driver and tour guide were awesome, but it would be nice to have more of the Contiki energy on the trip. Highly recommend, and want to try other Contiki's in the future!

My partner & I did the 19 day Euro Whirl + and it was amazing! The + offered us full stay in hotels over hostels which was perfect as a couple. It also had slight more and nicer activities than the standard whirl.
We covered alot of Kilometers and our Guide Rasto matched with our driver Florin were full of knowledge and made our tour very action packed, cant thank them and contiki enough for our time with them.
As a bonus we had alot of included meals and activities right throughout the trip, would definitely recommend if you want to travel in abit more comfort and see all the sites not all the bars 👍

Where do I even begin?! This was an experience unlike any other. I have been and will continue to recommend this tour group to everyone I know. This tour of Ireland was so well organized. It resulted in such a seamless week as we made our way through so many incredible cities in Ireland. I loved the optional add-ons. Contiki really picked some phenomenal experiences that made the whole trip just that much more well-rounded and fun.

Special shoutout to our tour manager Evie and our bus driver Barni. They are the dream team. I don’t think any of us could have asked for better. Every day their energy was a perfect 10. I can’t even imagine what it takes to make this all run behind the scenes, but they crushed it!

Loved the group energy. A bit fast paced but perfect for solo travellers in their 20s.

Met so many wonderful people and learnt about so many places. Our TM, Lauren, and driver, Tim were absolutely beautiful and made everyone feel so comfortable on the trip. Can't thank them enough :)

Richie and Susie made the trip amazing. Sweet as the south was an all round fantastic trip filled with so much to see and do. We were so lucky with weather and the group of travelers it was just an unbeatable trip. Would love to travel with Susie and our sweet as the south travel crew again. Highly recommend

I have had amazing experiences travelling the world with Contiki! I’ve been to three continents with this company and had an awesome time on each and every one of my trips! Contiki provides excellent service, organization, and communication before and during the trip. I highly recommend Contiki for travellers wanting to explore the world in a social way.

Absolutely amazing, the tour guide Cameron and driver Chris were funny and welcoming from day dot and ensured everything was organised and ran smoothly the whole time, they even got me dancing on tables

This was my first ever time traveling overseas or internationally and I’m so glad I went. Contiki helped book my flight and was answering all my questions before and during my trip. All the experiences were amazing and my tour manager Danielle was a delight. I broke my ankle during the trip and she even brought me local treats while I was stuck in my room. I’ve never experienced anything like this before and this trip was the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I just wish I could have stayed for the entire trip.

My contiki was great tho I thought there’d be a few more “make travel matter” experiences that’s not what I’m here to talk about, I want to warn anyone who is thinking about booking their ‘royal national hotel’ stay DO NOT BOOK THREW CONTIKI!!! Cannot stress this enough!! We got back from a 16 day trip tired and excited to relax together, checked in to our ‘twin share room’ went up to the room and there’s someone else already there!! We went to the contiki desk an the staff member said “yeah this happens all the time you’ve only paid for the bed not the room” we had several emails and phone calls confirming that both my friend and I would be put into the same room and contiki hub did nothing to help. Whether it’s written on the website or not it’s so not CLEAR, it’s obviously an on going inconvenience they’re just not bothered to fix. Also there’s way cheaper places to stay anyway 🤷🏽‍♀️ or even booking straight through the hotel you also get a better room that way and it’s not hostel style !

Highly recommend the Greek Island Hopping Tour! I went in June 2025 and it was an incredible experience. The best part about the trip was definitely the Trip Manager, Jason Pappadopolous (Papa J). He went above and beyond to assist everyone individually, added a lot of value to each island by providing information, fun facts, tips and tricks and of course showing us the best spots, and was always out in the action with us. The best Trip Manager of Contiki and I would 100% return again to have Papa J as our Trip Manager!

Sheriff made our trip and made sure we were all having fun and taught us so much about Egypt

Aaron was the heart and soul of our trip. He consistently went above and beyond for every single person in our group, always making us sure we felt included. His energy, passion, and knowledge of every areas we wnt to turned every stop into a meaninful experience, and his ability to connect with each traveler made the group feel more like a family than a tour. Whether it was helping with last-minute extracurricular plans, or going out of his way to check in on us, Aaron was always there. We couldn't have asked for a better leader, guide, and friend.

And then there’s Filip—hands down the best driver contiki has. His skill behind that wheel is unmatched, manoeuvring that coach like a boss through tight turns, and never ever late to a destination. More than that, Filip was an absolute legend—always cheerful, professional, and up for a laugh. We felt safe and so well taken care of with him behind the wheel.

I definely recommend you to request both aaron and Filip, together they made an unstoppable force that europe was definlty not ready for.

Went on a lovely tour of Ireland with Contiki! There was a pretty wide age range on this tour (20-34), with myself being in the "upper end" at 26. I was on a modular trip, so some of the people on the tour had been together for a week and were pretty close, but there were enough of us added to the final leg that we all sort of blended together. Our Tour manager was amazing. She made me feel prepared for what was to come every day, and nothing caught me off guard in term of experiences. There was a very big drinking push on this trip, which may have to do with the location itself, as Ireland has a big drinking culture, but there was a bit of pressure to go out on the town every night. I was never made to feel bad for not going out and drinking, but there's always a bit of that feeling of "oh, I missed something" when the people who did go out talked about what they did they previous night. I also chose this tour because it had hotel accommodations as opposed to hostels, and I had a roommate for the whole trip, who was lovely. I felt very safe on the coach and with the group. I would definitely recommend, though be aware that trip experiences may vary vastly depending on where you travel to and who you travel with.

Till now very bad experience... Not pickup phone customer care... When I send mail on care at the rate contikiworldvacation.com but every time they said not received mail. I told him for gym and movie tickets from 15 days till now updates... It's fraud.. mr deepak rajput who was manager there now change phone no. Not get call.... Don't invest money in this .....

If I could do no stars I would this was the MOST TRAUMATIC experience ever I can’t believe this company hasn’t been investigated this is the biggest scam I’ve ever encountered the tour guide AYA was beyond rude selfish pathetic and manipulative she had no care knowledge or info about the country or Japan yet she was running a tour in Japan? She showed no care for the tour members safety or well being and constantly drank on tour and would repeatedly ask for “love notes and gifts” nicer word for tips and free food she would give us no information about the days activity’s and when she would there would always be a hidden surprise for the day or if I may speak freely she would never tell us the schemes of the day whether it was leaving us in the red light district of Shinjuku to “find your own way home” or giving us the most DISGUSTING info about this beautiful country of Japan “the biggest thing in Japan culture are the vending machines and the dirty panty machines” I paid for a holiday to learn about dirty underwear??? My best example of my “amazing experience” was when we had booked a “free time activity” with the Hida beef dinner in takayama and for Aya to have already known about my mushroom allergy but then to have the main meal be focused around mushrooms and then have Aya say to me “ just grab translate out and tell the staff you’re allergic” and then to add to it “ if they don’t understand pretend you’re dead so they know you’re allergic” this tour is a scam please whether you believe this or not just save yourself the needed therapy after this trip
And save yourself the money and just do Japan alone this isn’t worth it

Contiki is the best! Blew my expectations out of the water with their Euro tour!

Recommended if you want a great time without any planning or hassles.

I just had my first trip with Contiki to Thailand Island hopper west and it was worth every penny! In the booking process the staff was very helpful and answered my questions within minutes through the chat. At the trip the guide was amazing, and he did everything he could to make us feel safe and happy. He also had a lot of great recommendations for every place we visited. I also recomend to go to the extra activities as it makes the trip even more fun. During the trip I felt completely safe, and I feel like as a woman "solo traveling" that doing so in a group where you meet like minded people is really good opportunity. I had such a good time with all of the wonderful people in the group. I will definitely book a trip with Contiki again! #StickyRice
