I have had Consumer Cellular service for many years now. I have actually purchased 3 iphones from them over the years. I have never had any problems and can always get great cell service. I especially enjoy the low monthly billing, it's great to save so much money every month. I see myself still using Consumer Cellular in the future and hope they continue to give great service.

I have been a long-term and loyal customer of Consumer Cellular and, up until now, have been very pleased with the service, support and value for the dollar that you offer.
On the evening of April 16 I logged into the Consumer Cellular website to upgrade my Samsung S25 device to an Apple 16. The order was completed, but when I submitted my payment three times I received the message “There has been a problem with this transaction …….”. At this point I reasoned that yours must be one of THOSE companies that rejects VPN connections so, against my better judgement, I disabled mine and the website STILL would not accept my payment after three attempts. I tried once more with another credit card … same result. It’s after hours … no help available. For your edification, my credit score is in the 800s and my records with the three major credit bureaus are without blemish.
I contacted Support the next day to express my frustration. I placed an order for a iPhone 16 with an agent and requested request a waiver for next day shipment. Whe informed me that she could not authorize this and I was transferred to a supervisor. From the very beginning of the dialogue with the supervisor I sensed a disrespectful attitude and was given the impression that I was inconveniencing him … I felt unimportant and disrespected. This angered and I hung up on the man.
After cooling down for a couple of hours I once again disabled my VPN and logged into the website, humbly putting my pride aside, and successfully ordered and paid in full for the iPhone 16 I wanted. Today I logged in again to track the progress of the order only to find that the order had been cancelled and my credit card refunded.
Feedback on your web service:
Every financial and Government entity that I conduct business with has managed to secure their servers without rejecting VPN connections. I cannot begin how strongly I object to this approach because, as an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in IT software and hardware, I know it to be a lazy, shotgun approach to security. It also sends the message that the needs of the customer are less important than those of what is supposed to be your most valued customer.
MFA is an effective tool and should quite sufficient to establish customer identity, especially when the verification request is sent to a device on your network. You could require the account PIN as a third factor, but nowhere on the website is it requested. Those of us that are security savvy go to great lengths to prevent identity theft, and the choice of a reputable VPN provider is one of the most important steps. I chose a service originating in Switzerland because of their reputation, and the aggressive enforcement of their privacy laws.
You need to find a better solution.

Buying a new phone was so easy. I like how they don't charge interest or downpayments for new phones but just add the cost to our monthly bill. Ever since we've switched to Consumer Cellular we've never had problems, we've had better service than some of the "Big" companies we've tried, and our costs are so much less!

My worst experience with a carrier in my entire life. I tried to port out to Metro PCS and the port out did not entirely go through. I was live on both networks for a week and went into a new billing cycle by 3 days. They don't do partial month charges so they are billing me for a whole month of service. I have an FCC complaint against them. They are a huge ripoff.

I have nothing but praise for this Company, it's so nice to talk to a real person and not a Bot. They made the transfer from my previous carrier a breeze. I really almost wish I would have never left in the first place.

The Customer Service Representative was very patient and knowledgeable about what could hang things up. I really appreciated the customer service to help me get my sim card into my phone, and begin using Consumer Cellular.

I love my new Iphone. Pairing the phone with the old one was somewhat complex but I was able to do it along with my Iwatch.

Transferred my number and phone from another service. Was able to complete most of the process online but called customer service for the final piece. They were great and finished up the transfer in just a few minutes. I'll be saving about $70/month so I'm very happy.

In the store front it was great, but the on-line expearance was not so great. After spending 45 minutes with a tech trying to fix the problem, only to receive "I'll need to go in to the store". After a hour drive to get to the only store in DFW he spent just a couple of minutes typing on the computer and bam it was fixed.

My wife and I talked for months about changing our cellular service from one of the "big guys" to Consumer Cellular. We just couldn't believe there wasn't some catch. There just isn't! So far we have had excellent coverage on our new service and we are saving a LOT of money! The CC customer service reps were patient, courteous, and super helpful. My old phone had died, which made converting to my new phone challenging. The rep walked me through the process and, as it turned out, I lost very little since I had recently synched my data to the cloud. We are in our first month with Consumer Cellular, but so far we are very pleased with our decision. I wish we had done this a long time ago.

Consumer Cellular has been a consistent help every time I have called. I have not found anything for which they cannot provide fast and efficient help. I am still learning the in's and out's of cellular communication, and they have almost instant solutions for almost every problem I have run into. I couldn't ask for any assistance better than what I have received from them.

I bought the Iris Ally for my husband. It's a great little device. Be careful. It's very sensitive. I dropped it on the couch and it immediately detected a fall and called in to the Emergency Center. The clarity of the voice response is great. It really puts my mind at ease having it in his pocket.

I chose to switch to CC from Verizon due to the better rate CC offered. I wanted to keep my phone and existing number. Customer Service was extremely friendly and helpful. They mailed a new SIM card and told me to call them back when I received it so they could assist me with the transfer. Everything went smoothly and I am saving about $35 a month.

My new phone arrived in 2 days. The ordering process was easy. The phone I wanted was available. I was able to transfer my info from my old phone without any issues. I have been a Consumer Cellular customer for years and would not consider changing. Service is always excellent and the prices are very fair. The staff are knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with when needed.

I was dreading having to install a new phone system since I am elderly and not very tech savvy, but the kind lady who walked me through it was so helpful and patient, everything went smoothly. If I could give more than five stars I would.

Ordered phone on-line Monday, received phone on Thursday, phone configured on Friday at Target. The young lady who assisted me with configuration was very polite and patient. I purchased the Motorola G-Play 2026. The screen is much more sensitive than my previous Motorola and I inadvertently open screens I don't want to open, very annoying. I guess I'll get used to it?

The head manager, Aireal Steed of the Murray, Utah store is a very exceptional customer representative. She spent an hr getting my phone and 3 other people at the same time transferring old phone data which did not work in an easy manner. She remained calm with a sense of humor under very stressful conditions.
