Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 210 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, finding it consistently poor and unhelpful. Customers frequently reported difficulties in contacting the company, often experiencing long wait times, dropped calls, and issues reaching a human representative. The website was also a common source of frustration, with users encountering problems with online logins and finding it difficult to navigate or access necessary information. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with specific interactions, highlighting individual staff members who were described as knowledgeable, patient, and effective in resolving issues. These positive experiences often involved direct assistance that helped customers overcome the general difficulties reported by others.

This has got to be the worst…

This has got to be the worst site/company in terms of signing on to website to access account. Even though you have a user name and password, and the site sends you a verification code, evidently you still need some sort of access code. This access code will be snail mailed to you in 7-10 business days!!! WTAF!!! I will be transferring shares that are in this account ASAP!!!!!

The company that has stolen my money.

I have been waiting now over 3 weeks to receive my money from Computershare Australia. They promised again it would be account yesterday. Still no money and no call back from them.
After calling again I was told it was with the supervisor waiting to release it now maybe in 2 more weeks.
Where is my money and what is going on here?

My money is finally in my account.
A big thank you to Arlene for listening and taking the right action to resolve this.

Do not deal with these people.
Will update again next week.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. I inherited this stock - I would totally advise against it. Customer service is totally inadequate-and just try setting up an online account- you will waste an entire day- and get NO WHERE!!!

The most frustrating company I have ever dealt with !!! Invest anywhere but in computershares!!!!

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Very difficult to get help. The online platform was clunky and dated. Computershare was chosen by my employer, and I hope I don't have to use them again (unless things improve dramatically).

This company especially in the UK needs a serious overhaul, they do not know the meaning of customer service!
Trying to get onto the Investor Centre portal is an absolute joke, going round in circles trying.
After eventually speaking to someone, because I've had issues trying to login. They say the account needs to be closed via the U.S.A and a new one set up and you imagine, this is not going to go well.
Can the financial Ombudsmen get involved with this company??

If I could give it no stars..........

If I could give it no stars, I would. I have never been so frustrated in my life. I felt sorry for the customer service representative, because he was only the messenger. They have unpublished practices that they want you to follow. It is mind blowing. They will never get another cent of my money. Run, don't walk away. There are too many other reputable investment companies to deal with.

the system for logging in has changed…

The system for logging in has changed from the usual format to a complex U key which has a rather long password. At the end of it you still fail to move on. 5 attempts and you are blown out for 24hours.
Extremely frustrating to say the least.
The chat bot isn't much better either.

Bank account issue

I had an issue with my bank account details - there was a typo that prevented me from getting a money transfer to my account. Not an easy issue to resolve as an urgent notification of bank details correction needed to be sent to my bank. A duty operator named Immanuella provided an excellent service by carefully listening, understanding this complicated issue and doing her best to ensure fast and effective resolution. Thank you very much!

In my case

In my case, communication via email and chat was limited, and the public picture differed from what I was experiencing privately.

Since relocating to #Valu𝗲 #mining#llc#. I've observed increased consistency and stability in how things work.

I had scum oozing out of my phone after talking to them!

The problem is they turned over my dividends over the the state siting inactivity. The dividends are from 2021 stating I never cash the check they sent. They said I had direct deposit started in 2023. That's 2 years. The waiting period for unclaimed funds is 3 years in this state. Any normal person would follow up if a mailed check is not cashed, it could be solen ,mail truck caught fire again many things.
This was all a lie anyway, as advised by Computershare I contacted the state. The state has no record they ever turned over the money to them.

Yet more time completely wasted

Yet more time completely wasted. After waiting for a code through the post, the website wouldn't take it, To prove you are human, you have to identify various animals with or without legs in a set of rather vague pictures. If you fail, you get locked out. This is the second LONG phone call before I can even start the selling process, when Equiniti will sell by phone and in fifteen minutes you're done.

It is in the Post

Why do they still only use the postal service internationally ?? They say for security reasons but may I say computer Face recognition or Fingerprint recognition is slightly more secure that a letter floating in the air somewhere in the world and then into a postbox on the street !!! They need to come into the 21st century. It was easier to deal in the Sharemarkets 50 years ago then in the year 2026.

HARD PASS

They get one star because I can’t give them zero. Absolutely ridiculously, cumbersome website. Contacting them by phone, trying to get live assistance virtually impossible. They impose absurd conditions on what should be simple transactions. Avoid them at all costs.

Omg seriously two different automated systems that were not at all giving me the options for what I needed. I was left a message to return a call with a reference number to give. By the time I actually got a hold of a person, the reference number apparently didn’t matter as I had to go over everything else again. 40 min later……
That said when I was finally transferred to was fantastic. She was through and got the job done (first person was almost clueless). So Delphine thank you

I think giving a 1 star or 2 star…

I think giving a 1 star or 2 star rating for this company is TOO MUCH. This company deserves a negative ranking.

I lost access to my online account and can't recall the email address I used to setup the online account. After a long call with a representative this morning, who didn't know her left hand from the right hand, told me to send a Notarized letter of instructions to change the email address. This is despite providing all the info, including the SS #. Now I have to spend more money getting a document notarized just to gain online access!

Legal Fraud!

I can only agree with others that Computershare is truly an awful outfit. Nearly two and a half years after a family member died and with lawyers (and lawyer costs!) involved my family still cannot retrieve the relatively small sum the deceased had invested. Computershare seem to take over the 'management' of shares and profit by making it all but impossible to subsequently realise the investments. My advice: Know that The Financial Ombudsman will not adress matters unless you have already complained directly to the company concerned and are dissatisfied with the result. So complain straight away (recorded delivery letter) and save time overall. Annoyingly, the law seems to allow financial companies a good deal of freedom as regards the demands they put in place for the release of funds. This allows Computershare (and others) to put endless obstacles in the way... including the awful or non-existent so-called "customer service". Hence my title "Legal Fraud". I believe that title is justified. You might even want to complain about the law to The Financial Ombudsman although they seem to be just another bunch of fairly ineffective "jobsworths". Goof Luck anyway. You'll need it!
