COMPUTERSHARE INVESTOR CENTRE

Phoned numerous contact numbers to speak to an advisor. Spent One + Half Hours on the line which kept taking round the block in a loop. Eventually managed to bypass the loop by pressing incorrect options and, guess what, the call dropped and sent me to their end of call "survey". There weren't any minus 10's to choose. The most useless company to exist and I don't know why Rolls-Royce etc use their services. I have read reviews of this global company and was alarmed that it is allowed to exist. According to what I have read there have been serious misconduct issues so no wonder they do not want to handle calls from investors in companies like Rolls-Royce. So much to say and not enough time !!!!

Will not pay me money owed

Will not refund my capital payment on a capital raise that was canceled.
It has now been 5 months of trying to get them to return my money, 4 phone calls and no results.
In my opinion Computershare is a criminal organization.

BELOW ANY STANDARD

BELOW ANY STANDARD, STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN. I don't know why my company worked with them- ComputerShare sent me a check for dividend payment but it could not be encashed in my country due to their lack of address and bank reference. I phoned to ask if they could pay it by wire instead. After nearly 40 min, they requested that I send the check back to them by registered courrier.
I did that while attaching a signed letter to remind the rationale. They sent me a letter saying they can't pay by wire because of "declaration". I called 3 times to ask them what it means and every time had a staff member who seems to be in a far away Asian country. After the 3rd call, a woman told me she will investigate what it means and call me back. I am still waiting....They still didn't pay me for my dividend.

A Masterclass in Obstruction Disguised as Customer Service

I’ve dealt with multiple agents, and the experience has been consistently unhelpful. Responses are purely literal—offering no elaboration, no initiative to resolve the issue, and certainly no useful context. It’s as if they’ve been trained to do the bare minimum, and then slightly less.

Despite advertising that you can sell shares online, this option is mysteriously unavailable when you actually try to use it. The result is an exhausting loop of vague, unelaborative answers and stalled progress.

As others have noted, the process feels borderline scam-adjacent. I’m increasingly doubtful I’ll ever see my money.

Interacting with this team genuinely feels like speaking to people who’ve been professionally lobotomised.

James B

James B. assisted me with log in issues yesterday. He was extremely helpful, patient, and stuck with me until the end of our phone conversation.

The agent was not very helpful or…

The agent was not very helpful or knowledgeable, and had to ask for a supervisor. Trying to determine a cost basis for a stock. When I asked to have it moved to Schwab was told all information would be forwarded, and Schwab has not received any cost basis for the cost, and Computershare will now only provide the number of shares transferred, no other information.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE TRANSPARENCY, FEES FOR EVERYTHING. If you’re Canadian kiss your money good bye, trying to locate my funds during this postal strike has been impossible. they can’t help you or see anything in their archaic system. THE DAMN AI CHAT BOT IS ABOUT TO MAKE ME COMMIT A CRIME. They take 0 responsibility over their services and treat customers like garbage. I’d rather have my shares lent out 100000000000 times over then deal with this company ever again. Borderline scam centre imo. Let the reviews speak for themselves

Cannot handle complexity.

I have been trying for months to change shares from my deceased husband to his son with absolutely no help from these people. They can't think outside the box. And they want $50 everytime they request different paperwork because nobody knows what they are doing.
Multiple dates of experience.

Excruciating; DITCH

Just look at all the 1 star ratings! Wow!
Very painful experience dealing with US office. Process-focused with no comprehension of user experience, nor any wish to change that. Senior staff hide behind robotic minions.
1 specific example of lack of care; they send high value international post untracked, so that it gets lost! They do not address complaints.
The concept of the world beyond the US is alien to them.

I have been on the phone multiple times…

I have been on the phone multiple times over the past several months trying to get my wife’s stock transferred from her mother‘s estate.

You have to start over every single time. There’s really no customer service from a historical point of view to be fair, the people are nice but poorly trained And generally give answers that are incorrect. It’s apparent that they’re under quite a lot of duress and that they are giving their employees the very least that they can give them in order to get the job done.

They are the low cost solution provider. Apparently I can feel the savings :-)

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Customer services were rude. They ignored correspondence, took ages to pay dividends over and when they did so, they paid them to the wrong account. Despite the fact I can't get the money back out of that account they refused to remedy their mistake properly. They then offered a small sum by way of redress but guess what- failed to pay it! Avoid if you want to keep your sanity.

Go to the service centre itself. Don't waste your time with the offshore call centres.

When you are dealing with Australian customer service, they are competent.

However, when you are dealing with the overseas call centres, you are wasting your time. They are polite but cannot do anything. Any request will go missing. It's like being in a customer service black hole.
You can't get an Australian customer service CRM, and all of their numbers lead you back to the offshore service centre.
If you live near a Computershare Investor Centre, go the the actual centre itself. It sounds counter-intuitive, but it actually is the best way to resolve your problem.

Repeated Wrong Advice

I have repeatedly been given wrong or incomplete information in writing and over the phone. I was told on the phone that Computershare accepted e-notarized documents, only to be told otherwise and have to get the documents notarized again. I was told that Computershare would sell my shares for me (once the transfer from my deceased mother's account to an estate account was complete). I was even told the price per share brokerage fee, but just received a letter telling me that Computershare does not provide this service and that I should contact a brokerage. I wonder how Computershare is still in business.

Put on your patience hat, prepare to be frustrated

What went wrong? My mom died of a heart attack over one month ago. She left me a small amount of stock that was titled TOD to me. Computershare never gave me the appropriate and complete information to attempt the transfer process into my name. I became frustrated and decided to ask Schwab ( my brokerage firm) to intervene on my behalf. Computershare ended up telling Schwab they had no record of the stock, even though I spoke with two Computershare customer services reps prior to asking Schwab to intervene...and prior to Schwab, the two reps found the stock, no problem. i now understand why Computershare.com has such a extremely low rating on the internet.

Terrible customer service…

Terrible customer service communication, after several calls they could not tell me what they should have known, spent way too much time on the phone. The end result was something that could have been easily communicated with a common process. The follow on process to roll over to another brokerage firm is far too difficult, outdated by mail process and excess transfer fees. One of the worst companies I've dealt with.

I've had nothing but issues with Computershare

I've had nothing but issues trying to work with Computershare. This has been over multiple contacts with them. I've read all of the negative experiences and find to no value to detail mine as much of my experience seem to be commonly experienced. This is a sign of a poorly operated company. The procedures, systems, training and staff need evaluation and dire attention. This would include management as they've allowed these issues to continue. I've found out Computershare is not regarded well by my brokerage firm with many reported issues.. I did not choose to do business with them. I had purchased shares and they were part of the eventual IPO shares management. I have reported my experiences to the company that utilizes them in their business.
