Cell phone service and wifi doesn’t even reach to my room at The Clifton. The most ‘common’ thing at Common are Roommate issues. Common is very unresponsive when billing issues arise and the online payment portal erases payment history. All of the on site building staff are wonderful but aside from that, do not be drawn in by the flexible leases and furnished apartments. It’s a horrible experience.

Hi, the onboarding experience was grate with Zack. But I didn't like that no one told me before moving to this apartment that there had been problems between roommates. When I moved here I had the surprise that one of my roommates suffers from some kind of mental disorders and she turns really aggressive, I have been living here for almost 3 weeks and every night she makes loud noise until 5 in the morning, she has a disorder in the common areas and recently she broke the TV, some kitchen materials and she made holes into a wall using the broom. After that discovered by many of my neighbors that she has criminal records and she has (or had) a firearm. I contacted the emergency numbers but i feel like if I was ignored because no one has resolved the problem that me and my roommates reported about her. And maintenance is not going to repair or replace neither the Tv and the wall with holes in it. So my living experience here is not the grate for that situation. I really like the common areas and my room but I don't feel safe living with someone like that. I hope that after this we get a resolution for me and my roommates who are also really concerned about their safety, and we get repairs in our unit.

My air conditioning wasn’t working and the edge by common maintenance was fast to fix the problem. Within only a few hours of the request my AC WAS FIXED.

Nicole is awesome and super helpful! Even if she doesn’t know the answer to something she’ll figure it out and get back to me ASAP. Although moving into a new place can be stressful, she has made it so much easier and is always available to help.

I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews posted here, and stayed away. This review is for the i5 Union building in D.C. , where I live. I want to say upfront that the building itself is very nice, and the building manager, Triston, and staff are helpful.
But their billing office is a non-responsive nightmare, as others have commented below. I paid the first month's rent upfront when I signed the lease (as is normal) and most of my application fee was also supposed to be applied to the rent. But come the first of the month after the lease began, I was charged in full; the payments I made earlier were simply erased from my account. As a result, I was charged for about $2000 more than I owed.
I have repeatedly filed help desk tickets and sent emails about the overcharge 3 weeks ago, but it does no good. Tickets are closed without any communication to me or resolution (although I attached the receipts for my payments), and after the first email I sent, they simply stopped responding. So it looks like they took $2000 that they were not entitled to, and just won't respond. Bottom line: unless you like the building so much that you're willing to risk paying thousands more than you should owe, think twice about Common.

Nicole at the The Wayland's is great. Any time I have an issue she takes ownership of the situation and sees that it gets resolved in a timely manner. If there are delays she is in constant communication with me. Thank you Nicole for the great work that you do.

National Landing's location is just great. The place feels like it is at the center of everyplace you might want to go to. And moving around is even easier - the metrobus literally passes by the building, and the train station is also nearby.
And the staff is good. In particular, Fabiola is so helpful. I had issues with my account on the portal, and I kept reaching out to her. Every time she is so ready to help. And she is truly happy to assist.

Demel was such a great help in assisting me in the application process. It’s good to see young men In professional settings provide quality service. He spoke with confidence & clarity. If I had the option to do this process over I would always choose him to assist me. A thousand thumbs up for Demel. I’m rooting for you!

Demel was a great (virtual) tour guide. I had a list of questions prior to the tour. I didn’t have to ask any of those questions because he was very thorough!

Such a great experience! Phetsamone answered all of my questions within a timely manner, and was incredibly helpful. The parts of the building that she showed me helped solidify my choice in choosing Common!
Super lovely, concise, and helpful!

I had the pleasure of working with Nicole Steinert to help me with some ongoing issues I am having with my app. Nicole was extremely responsive to my needs and made sure my questions and requests were met, while still remaining professional and friendly!
I have consistently experienced the best residential services with Nicole in my 12 years of living at The Wayland

So far, the Wayland has far exceeded my needs and expectations which is a huge relief as, for business reasons, I had to sign a lease while out of town. I don't know that I'd have chosen to move if it wasn't for a Nicole who bluntly answered my endless questions over the phone despite being busy and was very capable of managing expectations of the property in a way that made me feel like I should take the opportunity to move.
I worked with Chris during the leasing process who was fantastic and even had some time with Grace as she was starting. All of which set a very comfortable standard of customer service and approachability.
If you get the chance, meet Malachi (sp?), he's definitely the character/heart of the buildings.
