I would like to take this opportunity…

I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate all the support and help given by Mr. Krushan in my banking affairs at KCC Branch . He was very professional in sorting things out without pressuring me. A can-do attitude and a never-say-no attitude are highly appreciated even when he is busy. I have seen some bad reviews about commercial bank, but if the management takes an example with Mr. Krushan, every branch will provide good service to every customer.

ATM transactions

this bank not even worth to give a one star.Withdrew some money from commercial bank ATM with another bank's debit card.Showed the transaction but didn't got the cash.My bank has been complained several times for past 20 days after the incident.If they don't give money to the other bank debits,they should've notice that otherwise they should have transfer the money ASAP.Only thing this bank doing is doesn't respond at all just playing with innocent peoples valuable money.disgusting

Inhumane , Unethical , Horrible Service !

This bank doesn't even deserve 1 star ! Made my life a hell by blocking me from my online banking service when I was overseas as they did not update my mobile no: for OTP and I could not access my funds for an emergency/ when I critically needed it ! They never responded to my numerous e-mails pleading for help ! Inhumane , unethical, horrible service - please avoid banking with Commercial Bank , Sri Lanka !!

Unable to communicate by email

Tried to contact the bank by phone and by email no response for one and a half months. They should train their staff to use email and respond and also call back the customers to sort out the issues.

MAHESH BALASOORIYA SO CALLED MANAGER AT MINUWANGODA BRANCH GIVE ME ENDLESS HARASSMENT & ILL-TREAT ME BECAUSE I COMPLAINED THAT HE DOES NOT GIVE ME HIS EMAIL ADDRESS ALSO I MADE A COMPLAINT AGAINST TVK PRADEEP SANJEEWA OF MINUWANGODA BRANCH FOR SPYING & GIVING BANKING INFORMATION TO OUT TO SIDERS. MAHESH BALASOORIYA CANNOT TRANSFER 100k TO MY OWN ACCOUNT IN KATUGASTOTA BRANCH. HE IS WAITING FOR ORIGINAL LETTER SEND BY POST WITH ETA 28/10/23 , THAT MESSAGE ALSO TAKES HIM 10 DAYS TO REPLY.

Unnecessarily bureaucratic and treats customers poorly

I have been an account holder for well over a decade, have my salary coming into their account, and have been maintaining a significant balance. But they had excessive processes for applying for a simple credit card. The branch told me I needed a specific set of documents, then turned back on their word saying I needed more in order to have the card issued. On top of that their call centre agents are so incompetent. It's clear that many of these are entry-level folks, as their call etiquettes are ABYSMAL. What's worse is that these entry-level imbeciles have complete access to customers' cards, and they can activate or deactivate cards at any time without prior warning! This is a scary prospect - especially during times when I'm abroad! I've been put under so much duress prior to an international trip, all of which was very much avoidable. Entry-level call reps need to know better about how they are supposed to conduct themselves with customers who are senior, and have well-maintained account balances. I'm just hassled and still reeling from all the shock caused by their useless red tape. If you qualify for any of the international banks based in Sri Lanka, PLEASE MOVE. Your pulse rate and your wallet will thank you for it.

Poor Customer Service Standards

I am a long standing customer of this bank and using internet banking facility from the begining. After they have migrated to this digital banking platform they have removed option to communicate with bank securly to clarify custmer concerns.
I have transferred money to my account and these guys put a hold to my money without informing me made me really uncomfortable. I have tried to connect with the relevant department or branch using their digital platform but surprisingly there's no such way to contact the bank using this secured platform. Even though technlogy uses to make people's life comfortable, This bank management has no sense of using these technologies to assist their customers.
This is what we can expect from " The Best Bank in Sri Lanka"..........

Poor Customer Service

Union Place Branch service is very poor. Customer satisfaction is nil.

We are BOI registered private sector company located in Negombo. We have 200 over expatriate employees (Under Residence visa permit) who working in Sri Lanka for projects in difference locations other than local employees.

We chose commercial bank for our employees banking needs with opening accounts in Negombo Branch.

Since the ATM cards are linked with our employees visas, we arranged our employees to visit the Union Place branch (those who working in Colombo 2 projects) to get service to active their ATM cards who got renewed their visas.
But Union Place branch rejected to provide services and Branch manager spoke to our employees that they cannot provide services from their branch and have asked to go to account opened branch to get service.
Reason for open branches ?

Nothing to complain about. Ima using this for few years now and imma happy with their service. Customer service is perfect. E-Banking experience is perfect. Can Say I'm satisfied.

Great

The bank is supportive and in every branch I've visited, the staff was very nice. However, their ComBank Digital app is easy to use but has full of error messages and bugs.

I went to Kaduwela branch to open a…

I went to Kaduwela branch to open a joint account with my brother in last week and we both had our NICs. But counter staff members informed that they can not recognize our relationship and need our original birth certificates. And week after later we visited the same branch and for the same purpose. But they did not ask any single word about the birth certificates. I don't know and can not understand what is the correct process of this bank and what I observe is required documents are depending on the mood of the aavailable customer service officer.Once I contact another branch they also informed they do not request BCs NICs are sufficient .☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
