DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Firstly: they lost my booking but that’s not the reason I’m taking the time to comment. While the service advisor was pleasant & communicative, Col Crawford Service tried to make ME pay for their error in breaking a wheel stud - saying it “broke when we tried to remove it” (hence, they said, a previous co must have over tightened it therefore not our fault. That’s a contentious point but what really is disgusting is they tried to scrape extra dollars out of me by suggesting that I pay to have them replace all 5 studs and bearings “just in case another one snaps”. That’s like recommending they replace the back windscreen while fixing the front windscreen “just in case”. I didn’t have the time, energy or patience to argue the toss. I should have paid the full amount of labour and parts and taken them to NCAT, but these worm companies just sap you of the will to live. In the end they agreed to pay for the labour (only) for something THEY caused. Bottom line: They ripped me off again, like the Col Crawford did years ago when I put a deposit down to buy a car “subject to finance”, and when the finance didn’t come through, they refused to give me my deposit back. I swore I would never use the Col Crawford group ever again. My bad. How do companies like this stay in business?
