Unimpressed

The rooms are fine, but the restaurant… you have to wait 20 minutes in a queue, just to get to the food, and the food isn’t even good, we all basically only ate the salads, and some of us went hungry to bed. I also don’t understand, why they have to have ducks swimming around in the pool…

Unhappy beggining, unhappy ending.

On arrival we were allocated a room that it was not what we have booked, after persisting they gave us a room on the ground floor but not with a sea view as booked.
After a week in the hotel on the last day we asked if we could stay in our room an hour longer, we were told that it was impossible.
At 12 when we went to check out there was in front of us a German speaking lady also asking for a late check out. She was told that they would arrange the cleaner to come back later, allowing her the late check out. Having witnessed the conversation we asked again for late check out but we were denied again. It seems that this hotel have different rules for German nationals than for British. Not a very nice experience

Cash is King

In a failing economy cash is king and we experienced this first hand at our visit to bar at the pool area.
Before we ordered anything we explicitily asked for the posibility to pay with a creditcard. The waiter confirmed with no reservation that the etsablishment accepted all major creditcard. We had a light meal and some softdrinks. When we asked for the bil everything suddenly changed; the waiter (Alberto) was deeply sorry, their had been a misunderstanding, bla bla.. he was only allowed to accept cash. As we had no cash (that was why we asked from the very beginning) we were forced to cash euros at the ATM at the reception (and paying for the transaction). We paid Alberto - and here is the tricky one - he took the cash but didnt return any receipt....appearently a new problem has emerged.
Have a nice stay a the pool side
