EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
My husband purchased 2 Mobility Scooters. A folding one Drive Aero Carbon that goes in the boot of a car and the other an Admiral Plus which has a max speed of 8 mph. We visited our local Tunbridge Wells branch who cleared the floor so my husband could test both. The assistance we received was second to none by Ali, Debbie and Sam. They were so patient as my husband has Parkinsons and these Scooters will give him more independence. The service we received was exceptional and made our choice so easy. The Admiral Plus was delivered a week later by Dave who could not have been more helpful, a lovely guy, spending time to make sure my husband felt confident. We could not have asked for more. Thanks everyone
Just the right shoes for a 93 year old
With the patient help of your Eastbourne Clearwell Mobility staff we purchased the shoes that really satisfied our 93 year old male friend. They persevered until he was satisfied with the colour, style and size which he was quite particular about!

I bought 2 heel guards on Christmas Eve…
I bought 2 heel guards on Christmas Eve (£37.00) as my severely disabled husband was developing sores on his heel and I was concerned the problem might escalate over the holiday period. I tried one several times but it didn’t stay on so totally useless. The other was unused and still had the label on. As a full time carer I didn’t have the freedom to return it quickly so missed the 14 day return period. I asked if I could exchange it for something else but was told no. I raised this with Clearwell by email but they seem to have ignored it. What a terrible company!
Eastbourne shop absolutely brilliant
The ladies id the eastbourne shop in Seaside were fabulous. Im new to the whoke arena of mibility aids and am buying for my elderley aunt, thry were patient and knowledge and veey reassuring. Definitely reccomend. Thank you
I can't say thank you enough!
I have had to remotely organize the return of my Father's scooter to Clearwell, via the motability scheme. When contacting motability the telephone operative just put up barriers and bring hundreds of miles away from my bedridden hard of hearing father, this became impossible. Sally Ballamy of Clearwell took charge and organized a colleague, Howard, to visit my dad in person & contact motability with him, they arranged collection with the retreat my dad had lived on prior to going to his care home. Their help and compassion has been remarkable and I can't say thank you enough!
The shop & staff in Woking [Surrey] are the bee's knees
The shop in Woking [Surrey] is brilliant. It has its own parking spaces behind the shop and is well stocked. It has knowledgeable staff who know their products inside out and are able to offer ask the right questions to really understand the customer’s needs and give appropriate advice. We were looked after by Abi and I cannot praise her enough.
Five Stars Thoroughly Deserved
From start to finish, my experience with Clearwell Mobility Eastbourne was brilliant. Every step of the process — from my first enquiry to the handover of my scooter — was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine friendliness.
Jo was fantastic — knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly patient. Howard was equally fabulous, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensuring I felt confident and comfortable. Their support made a real difference.
Clearwell Eastbourne thoroughly deserves five stars. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for expert help and top-notch service in mobility support!
Unsuitable scooter
So my new scooter had to go in for repair, clearwell gave me a loan scooter which was unsuitable for any disabled person to use,the battery pack was very old and sparked a electric shock when the scooter had to be charged.
Also the seat was so wobbly it moved from side to side causing the scooter to be unbalanced I also lost my puppy in the road to this scooter being unsafe,I sent a complaint letter but they did not want to take any responsibility what so ever.
Wheelchair hire in Tunbridge Wewlls
Needed advice and guidance regarding wheelchair hire at very short notice and the ladies in the Tunbridge Wells shop were excellent. Wheelchair hired with the minimum of effort and fuss. Thank you!
Mobility scooters
Had to wait a little while for service but when we did Kevin was very helpful giving sound advice to help my parents make a choice when seeking to purchase their first scooter.
Caring and dedicated staff - thank-you
I popped in to the Brighton branch for some advice for a neighbour. Hayley was so helpful!! She was able to give me expert advice and some samples for him to try. She turned around what had been a traumatic experience for my neighbour, by offering a number of solutions and some advice about how to get some support in place. I was so impressed by Hayley's knowledge and wonderful, caring, person centred customer service. I would not hesitate to use Clearwell again.

Had very good service today as all ways. Jenni was very helpful and made sure we had the right item for our needs
Excellent rollator purchase
We needed guidance on buying a rollator. As a result my wife tried out three variants and happily purchased the most suitable one for her. Jo, the manager, was totally friendly and helpful without being at all pushy. This again confirms Eastbourne Clearwell as our go-to place for all our mobility needs.
Wrong product and horrible service
Sold a product that wasn’t suitable for my needs and I repeatedly expressed the importance and why I needed this equipment and was told totally incorrect and misleading information and the product didn’t do as I was promised by the very rude and abrupt sales women who obviously was losing patience with me asking questions and I could tell she just wanted to get rid of me so i felt rushed and despite her telling me it was then right product I wasnt sure it was the right thing to help me but she obviously had more important things to do and I felt I was in her way so just bought it so I could leave trusting her advice. Anyway, the product was right and wasn’t useable but I was told I couldn’t return it due to nature of product, although I repeatedly asked if she is sure it will fit and work and was told it would and it was the best option for my condition and was totally wrong for both my condition and fittings. It’s not the first time I have found this particular worker unpleasant and talking to friend at my weekly group i attend, others use the shop and have had a similar experience with the same lady. The other lady that I think is the manager is lovely but the other one is very bad for your shop. Another local shop that offers care services have started offering the products many of us use and are now going there for personal items.
I also chose to purchase the item and pay the VAT instead of completing a form I was told I could fill in as I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible as she was just so rude and spoke down to me. I won’t be returning and I’ll shop elsewhere. Also want to say that a lot of items are cheap and nasty and pricey, I will look elsewhere in future as service is so bad and wasn’t worried about me, just wanted my money and to sell me something.
Top service in Portslade shop
We went into the Portslade shop today looking at chairs. Very nice sales person called Marian was so helpful. She showed us how to change the settings on the demo chair and said we could buy it. This saved us having to assemble at home and was so useful. We took it home and are delighted with it. Above all it was so nice to have a physical shop that we could try different chairs and speak to a sales person who knows all about the product. Will definitely shop there again.
Wow..
Wow... what can we say. Jo and her staff at the Eastbourne branch, went over and above for my elderly mother. Nothing was too much trouble for them. 1st class service there.
Great staff
The service we got from Teresa was amazing, she knew her stuff and was very understanding and helpful.
