A Brilliant Mind in Commercial Litigation!

I had the privilege of working with Edward Halden, a true expert in commercial litigation, during a critical phase when my business was closing and negotiations with a difficult creditor were underway. Edward's guidance and expertise were nothing short of exceptional.

From our first interaction, it was evident that Edward possesses an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of commercial law and negotiation strategies. His ability to dissect complex legal matters and present them in a clear, comprehensible manner was immensely valuable. Edward's insights and recommendations were always on point, showcasing his keen analytical mind and extensive experience.

What truly set Edward apart was his unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for me. He took the time to thoroughly understand the nuances of my case and tailored his approach accordingly. Even in the face of tough challenges, Edward remained composed and resolute, keeping my best interests at the forefront.

During negotiations, Edward's exceptional communication skills and persuasive abilities shone through. He navigated the discussions with finesse, ensuring that my concerns were addressed and my rights protected. Edward's ability to establish a rapport with opposing parties while standing firm on crucial matters was remarkable.

Throughout the process, Edward's responsiveness and accessibility were outstanding. He kept me informed at every stage, alleviating any concerns I had and providing much-needed reassurance during a stressful time. His genuine dedication to my case was evident, and I felt empowered knowing that I had a brilliant advocate on my side.

If you're seeking a commercial litigation solicitor who combines legal prowess with a compassionate approach, Edward Halden is the epitome of excellence. His support was instrumental in achieving a favorable resolution during a challenging period, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services. Thank you, Edward, for your exceptional work!

Superb Commercial Dispute Team

Superb. As a company owner I’ve recently needed to take counsel as our insurers dragged their feet causing problems. The team at CW were patient, understanding and resolved the commercial dispute professionally and most importantly with care. Thank you.

Never again

Never again, after an accident that wasn't my fault, they were supposed to represent me.
I was messed about, send to several different solicitors who didn't know my case, they didn't bother telling me that the lady I had dealt with had quit, she was really helpful.
They were rude, lost paperwork and took 6 month to take the matter to court even so they had all the information to do so from the beginning.
I was waiting 15 month to get my excess back and haven't achieved anything, I have now told them that I give up because my health was suffering due to being messed about so much, they knew I had cancer and still didn't give a damn.
They obviously only care about cases that makes them a lot of money!
I will never ever go to this company again!!!

Very happy with the service

Vanessa Harris dealt with my medical negligence claim. I attempted to do it myself to start with but found it too stressful, she did everything for me and completely took away the stress. She was always available and answered many a question I had. I couldn’t have done it without her help and will be forever grateful that she helped me with seeking the closure I needed.

My late Fathers will

My sister and I are in the middle of a family dispute with my brother over my late fathers will. My brother is being obstructive and very difficult to deal with to the extent that we have had to instruct solicitors to deal with this. Clarke willmott are refusing to release my fathers will unless we pay £750 plus vat when my solicitor says normally solicitors will release at a nominal admin fee. It’s a disgrace, Avoid Clarke Willmott at all costs.

Residential Conveyancing in Taunton

My father was planning to move to a retirement development and needed to put his home on the market.
We instructed Clarke Willmott to handle the conveyancing after receiving a personal recommendation.
Helen Lock from the Taunton office was friendly, approachable and highly professional at all times.
There were one or two delays caused by complications with a transaction at the bottom of the chain, but Helen maintained close links with the other solicitors involved and ensured we were kept very well informed of progress until completion.

Personal Injury - Rapid Response

I had been dealing with a personal injury claim that was getting drawn out and running out of time. I contacted CW to take on the case with barely any time spare (other law firms had turned me down due to lack of time). I got a very rapid response and Mr Hart lit various fires under what had previously been a glacial process. In very short time I got an outcome which greatly exceeded my expectations for a fee far less than I expected.

AVOID, AVOID!!! THEY DO NOT CARE!!!

I've been trying remortgage my property since April, and discovered I needed to extend the lease, so instructed Clarke & Willmott to act on behalf of the freeholder. I chose them because of the ratings on Trustpilot. WHAT A MISTAKE! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

The mortgage was finally approved at the end of August, and we had 30-days to complete. Since then, my acting solicitor and I have been fighting with Clarke Willmott and the freeholder on a daily basis to get this through. WE HAVE BEEN READY TO COMPLETE FOR TWO MONTHS AND ARE BEING HELD UP BY CLARKE WILLMOTT. They rarely respond, and when they do, we're met with surly and rude responses.

We've managed to get one extension from the lender, but that is about to expire, and I have no other options. I'm now facing the prospect of the whole thing falling through and HAVING TO PAY OVER DOUBLE FOR MY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS DUE TO THE LACK OF INTEREST AND PROFESSIONALISM OF CLARKE WILLMOTT. We have told them this on countless occasions and they still do nothing! It's absolutely appalling!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Face injury.

On a recommendation. I contacted Clarke willmott following my accident at work, I am so glad that I did this
Lee Hart and his team were assigned to my claim. Right from the first meeting with him I found him to be professional and helpful and outlined the procedure he would take to claim for my injury
Throughout the process kept me informed despite the covid situation with telephone calls and emails. I never felt forgotten during the time Lee Hart handled my claim. He was like a really good friend to me and took the stress out of what I was coping with at that time.
A claim settlement was agreed which I was happy with.
But Lee Hart went the extra mile for me in locating a surgeon who would carry out special surgery on my eye socket, which was professor Simon Holmes of the London Royal Hospital.
I have now had the surgery and so grateful to Lee and prof Holmes who have made a great improvement to my live. Following my experience I would personally recommend Clarke willmott without hesitation

We contacted Clarke Willmott after a accident at work .
Lee Hart dealt with the claim and from day one was honest and very professional. Unfortunately my circumstances had effected my mental health and I struggled to deal with things which were stressful.
Lee was so understanding and happy to deal with my wife if I found things to much.
We did not meet Lee for a long time due to Covid but he kept us up to date with everything.
A settlement was reached and during the whole experience Lee gave us options and talked us through things. We can now move on with our lives thanks to Lee Hart and I would recommend him to anyone that may need his expertise in this field.

Medical negligence claim as it should be

Without going in to too much personal information, we had the displeasure of having to sue the NHS for a clinical negligence incident that took our mother away from us before her time. The NHS had turned their back on an old and diseased lady following the accident and she never made it home again, instead being sent to a nursing home which we had to pay for. We had argued the fact that she needed medical help but the poor wheelchair bound elderly lady was left to fend for herself and sadly no longer knew who her family were following the emergency bone surgery she required after the accident. After failing a Continuing Health Care assessment (where i’m convinced that you would have to be virtually dead to win) and in an effort to recoup the massive financial outlay, we decided to sue.

I decided on Clarke Willmott, mainly as I knew they were a large organisation in my area and that an old friend of ours had in fact worked in their financial department many years back and was positive about them and his workplace at the time.

From the word go, I was advised to write a letter to the chief executive of the hospital and did so then Gemma read it and added some bullet-points asking more specific questions of them which I hadn't considered myself. The hospital did in fact take a very long time to respond to my letter of complaint but eventually they did admit their failings and eventually admitted that it had in fact shortened our mother's life as well as taking away her ability to walk.

After receiving their letter of admission, we pretty much left the whole affair in the hands of Gemma who calmly navigated us through the process in the background. I don't really feel that we had to actually do very much at all but were always kept informed as things progressed past the different landmarks as the months rolled on.

Very recently we received a full admission that there was no objection to our claim and although they tried to haggle with us (if anyone that does this type of haggling with grieving relatives then shame on you) but Gemma went back to them with our 'feelings' on that matter and successfully got the full amount we had claimed for.

I hasten to add that these type of claims where people have passed on don't qualify for large sums of money though we were happy that the amount we claimed for did in fact cover the legal fees and the cost of caring for our mother in the private sector following her accident so we consider the process a success.

I honestly cannot think of a single reason for us not to recommend using Clarke Willmott. The calm and caring attitude and sense that you really have someone on your side to navigate on your behalf through processes that none of us had the emotional energy to do so, was all we could have hoped for. Both my brother and sister weren't really aware of how simple this was made for us as I was the main point of contact but I know that they appreciate how easy it was made for me now and they are equally impressed with the outcome. We also received the money very quickly which has allowed us to move on with our lives and remember our dear mother whilst putting to bed what the poor thing went through during her last months.

I hope that we will never have to go through anything like this again but if we do I now know we have a legal team waiting that I can honestly trust without question.

Thank you Marguarita

Very grateful for the work Marguarita tyne put in to get me the best possible outcome. We didn't think we would be as successful as we were with the offer of settlement. This has helped me a great deal in moving forward from the trauma and pain I suffered for so long. Will use again and recommend to friends and family.

Appalling reply

Appalling reply. Made an enquiry about Wills & Inheritance and they suggested "Thank you for your recent enquiry. Unfortunately Clarke Willmott is unable to assist with this matter. However, may we suggest using the Law Society’s ‘find a solicitor’ search to help you locate a specialist near you" YET their advert on google shows that this EXACTLY their specialism! Crazy response.

MONEY GRABBERS - DO NOT USE!!!!

As a single full time mum, struggling with an extremely difficult and abusive ex partner, i trusted Clarke Willmott to help me. The process was lengthy and costly and due to the strain on my mental health i did stop and start the process. When i was finally ready to go ahead, they told me i had to pay a significant amount for them to continue (even though i already had £8000 fees and they took on my case knowing full well I had no money - they even saw my accounts). Because i could not make a significant contribution, they have now hit me with a £9000 + bill that needs paying within 14 days or they're taking ME to court. So be warned, they are a large chain of money grabbers, with no empathy for you or your situation. Go and find a small family run business if you actually want your moneys worth and no threat of court or ccjs. they have literally not only wasted my time, they have now put me in a financial situation I cannot get out of, making things even worse than they were before.
