Delivery problem but very well resolved
UPDATE: Customer service manager contacted me first thing the next day. Very apologetic and got the delivery made within the hour. A very satisfactory response. Thank you.
Massively disappointed in what has previously been a reliable company,
After placing an order I emailed asking to be notified of the delivery date, and got a reply stating it would be today. I subsequently received a standard delivery confirmation, again saying delivery would be today.
Around 3pm, with still no delivery, I called to make sure it was still today and got that confirmation.
I have been waiting since 7am, my wife and I altering our arrangements so that at least one of us was here to accept delivery.
Now 6pm and NO DELIVERY - NO PHONE CALL, NO EMAIL, NOTHING.
Pathetic and deeply disappointing!!

Excellent Company
Excellent. Ordered some fence panels & a box of screws. Arrived within 3 days & all great quality. Kept me updated re delivery by email & phone plus the driver called on the day of delivery to advise of his eta. Also helped me carry everything into my back garden exactly where I wanted them. Good service & how things always used to be as opposed to nowadays. Will definitely use them again

Disappointing delivery
I chose Clarkes of Walsham based on their many positive reviews, particularly regarding delivery, but unfortunately my experience was very different.
The delivery driver accessed my back garden without any instruction to do so and placed a very large, heavy trough directly on top of one of my plant beds, damaging established plants. I contacted the company to ask for an explanation, and the driver claimed they hadn't seen any plants. Given that the trough was sitting in the middle of a large, well-established flower bed, I found this difficult to understand. It’s impossible not to see the plants.
I replied with a photo clearly showing the trough on top of the plants. After sending the evidence, I received no further response.
Mistakes can happen, and I would have appreciated an honest acknowledgement or apology. Instead, my concerns were simply ignored. Based on my experience, I can't recommend them.

Having looked into this further, I understand the driver made the decision to place the trough inside your gate as he was concerned about leaving it on a busy street. His intention was to help protect your order, but I'm very sorry that, in doing so, the trough was placed on your flower bed and caused damage.
I'm also aware you mentioned not receiving a further response. We did send a follow-up email after receiving your photographs, including an apology, but I'm sorry we've still left you feeling that your concerns weren't fully addressed. We'll be reaching out to you again shortly in the hope that we can resolve this matter with you.

Best Store in the UK!
I have used Clarkes for years mainly in Suffolk then moved to North Norfolk. There is not place like Clarkes anywhere in Norfolk or for that matter in Suffolk, Essex or Cambridge where I have lived also. Amazing quality and prices. Free delivery over certain level is appreciated and long may they thrive. Drivers are so friendly and all staff helpful no matter if it’s a big or small order.
