A professional and friendly experience. I was grateful for the offer of being taken to the Edinburgh clinic and returned home by their car pick up service.

The clinic is in a modern building and the staff very welcoming on arrival.

The procedure was carefully explained to me. The outcome of the operations to remove cataracts from both eyes has been extremely successful with no post operative issues.

I have no reservations about recommending Clarity Healthcare Edinburgh to anyone considering cataract removal surgery.

I went for a small procedure and how it was handled was efficient and proportionate. The technician and the surgeon were both excellent. Also the clinic is slightly out of Edinburgh so easy to find, and easy to park.

I was referred to Dr Andrew Tatham by my optician due to early signs of glaucoma. Initial visit was early December 2025 and a right eye cataract operation was recommended. Dr Tatham was able to offer surgery within a couple of weeks but due to Christmas and a holiday planned for January. We agreed Monday 2nd February.
As advised I arrived about 30 minutes before surgery, was welcomed at reception and 10 minutes later was seen by the staff to confirm the eye to be operated on and answer some questions. On time I was taken in to the surgery, Dr Tatham agreed which eye was to be done. The surgery was painless and I then attended a nurse, who informed me of various things, gave me eyes drops and check card to mark up for four weeks.
It was a very quick procedure, completed within 30 minutes. I could see better with the new lens and have had no problems with my eye.

I was seen by Dr Andrew Tatham because of concerns about worsening normal tension glaucoma. After examining my eye, he explained the possible procedures very clearly. A follow up visit confirmed that my best option was a trabeculectomy which had to be done elsewhere because the necessary theatre facilities were not yet available at Clarity Edinburgh. I can’t speak highly enough of the quality of care I have received from Dr Tatham. Apart from his wonderful surgical skills, he has been attentive, friendly and supportive through the many post surgical visits. The Clarity staff were also very friendly and helpful in person and on the phone.

Excellent treatment from all staff. Cataract procedure on both eyes, 18 days apart. Would highly recommend Dr Tatham who explained all the options and talked me through the procedure as it happened.

Excellent service from start to finish. Dr Tint explained my options very clearly: I opted for the trifocals, with each eye dealt with a fortnight apart. The surgery went very smoothly and quickly too. Not only are both of my eyes now cataract free, but I am spectacle free for the first time since Primary 7. Highly recommended.

A "terrifying" prospect was made almost enjoyable by Clarity. Dr Tint is a remarkable surgeon who talked me through what he would be doing, and suggested doing my 2 cataracts 4 weeks apart, so that I still had "vision". The procedure was pain free and over so quickly that I had to be told to sit up as I had not realised that it could be done so fast!!
The staff were very welcoming and supportive, offering to make my husband a cup of coffee, and answering my nervous questions without making me feel stupid!! Car parking was near the clinic and free.
The procedure was worth every penny as I am now able to drive again (even if broke!!) Thank you Clarity!

Excellent, timely treatment at all stages. The outcome has been excellent with no problems at all. My only complication was the entry system into the building in Edinburgh and getting up from the chairs in the reception area. Some higher chairs for immobile patients would be nice. But that leaves me a very satisfied customer. I was also impressed that the final charge was exactly as stated at the start - no add-ons or extras at all. This is very nice.

I have no hesitation in recommending Clarity for cataract surgery. They were efficient, courteous, friendly, and competent. What more can I say? My operation went smoothly, I am happy with the result and have had no complications or problems.

I noticed my night driving was becoming difficult and decided to go for cataract surgery privately. I could still see quite well in daytime and NHS treatment was years away. My Optometrist recommended Clarity (Edinburgh) and I am so happy I went to there.
The whole process was easy and very professional. The staff are wonderful, caring and competent. the process was fully explained and the options available to me. My eyes were operated on 3 months apart as I have Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy in the corneas and my surgeon wished to see the first eye heal fully before tackling the second. After many months of extensively researching different companies offering cataract surgery, I finally decided to choose Clarity. One of the main reasons for my decision was that they had two exceptional eye surgeons that I was particularly keen to use. Mr Tint is undoubtedly an exceptional eye surgeon. Thanks to the toric lens replacement surgery in both eyes using Micro- monovision I have achieved the best possible outcome for my vision. My eyesight has been restored, and I can now see better than ever. I only require glasses for prolonged close reading or extended phone use, which is an incredible result.

My optician referred me and I chose Clarity with his blessing. From first contact when Dr Tint ran through the procedure to the kind helpful staff all was well. I gather my degree of astigmatism was fairly bad, so having cataracts removed and new lenses has truly been transformational. Dr Tint was extremely good and patient with a “fidgeter”.

I was referred by Jack Brown Eyecare and was seen on 30/03/2026, only 2 weeks after the referral. The staff were very friendly and professional. Mr Andrew Tatham was very thorough and made sure I fully understood the condition for which I had ben referred. Overall a very positive pleasant experience. I look forward to my further check-up in twelve months.

On hindsight, I wonder if I could have had a new lens which was cataract free but with good near-sight rather than good far-sight. I now have to wear glasses around my neck as I am always needing to look at something closely.

I had cataract surgery about two years ago and recently developed PCO in both eyes. My optician discovered this and suggested I have laser surgery.
As I had the original surgery at Chec Watford I wanted to return there. I spoke to Dan Willis on the phone to discuss an appointment and Dan was so kind and helpful and assured me Clarity would certainly be able to help me.
I was booked in for laser surgery a few days later which was carried quickly and painlessly. It literally took minutes to complete, so simple yet within a couple of hours my eyes were clear and back to 'normal'.
