CHIME promotes Fraud…
My account got compromised and a fraud charge happened. CHIMEs dispute system is a joke. They closed my dispute saying no errors and I lost $181,67. This is a horrible company to deal with. They now use an AI to answer their service and it keeps hanging up on you. Totally useless company. Promotes theft. No protection.

Call back number's been compromised
I called Chime and they said to identify you they call me back when they called back apparently it wasn't them even though it's they said it was them and I can't get it through anyone's head that their phone lines have been compromised. I had over $400 taken out of my account and they're saying there was no mistake well I didn't authorize it and I sure in the heck don't know who did it.

Chime is shielding thieves after they physically stole $3,100 from my account
On April 14, 2025, individuals deliberately removed me from my business premises, took physical possession of my phone, accessed my Chime account, and transferred $3,100 to another Chime account under their control.
I filed an official police report #26019780.1 with the San Diego Police Department documenting this as grand theft. The report contains the names and addresses of the suspects. I also filed formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI).
Despite all of this, Chime has denied my dispute three times. I even contacted Chime executives via LinkedIn — they claimed they would investigate, only to later send me the same generic denial.
This is outrageous. Chime has clear evidence that this was a physical theft, yet they continue to protect the perpetrators and refuse to return my stolen funds.
I demand the immediate return of the $3,100 that was criminally taken from my account.

It's great until you need customer service help
It's great if you have direct deposit only. & NEVER need customer service help. it takes about 5-10 business days for a physical check to clear your account.
The most frustrating thing is, I've been charged $40 in late fees by utility companies due to Chime not deducting the payment for 7-10 business days. The utility & insurance companies both showed the bills as paid along with confirmation numbers. For some reason Chime doesn't deduct the money or have knowledge of the payment for 7-10 days later then I got late fees from the companies.
Chime's responses to your complaints &/or messages never address the actual issue (ie... late fees due to their incompetence or procedure). I've called their customer service line twice, spoke to a human vs AI and they were just as useless. It left me with dings on my credit & owing $40 in late fees due to them.

Absolute trash
Absolute trash! My phone was stolen and someone stole thousands of dollars from my chime account. This person has been charged with credit card fraud and theft but chime won’t refund it even with all requested documentation.

Do not bank with chime they will close your account without any notice and all your money will be froze. I called and got zero answers.
Still no answers. Says I won't be getting a refund check. Says their system doesn't allow them to see what's wrong and why they froze my money. When I ask what I did wrong, they say our system doesn't allow us to see. Just terrible. I have no money right now and have zero answers or timeline when this will be fixed.

If I have a problem with somebody that took money out, and I don't recognize that you guys react faster than any bank or any money, people, can you get to talk to a person when you need help? If that person can help you, they will go get a person. And if that person can't get help and they will find someone to help me. That's why I love this chime. You guys keep making things better for ordinary people. Middle class people that lose their job and people that are 62 years. Oh, and older and 67 me and my wife. We both got chime, but she lost her job for a while because she broke her arm. When she looked at me the other day, chime's not giving me money. Because I can't put my paycheck in there because I won't get one till I go back to work. But I sent her to chime, and when she was getting her money, she sure did enjoy that. It was like I said her. We're both in the 60s and we've been injured and we got social security going in there, and we trust you guys. I put my trust in you guys. I don't think you need to do anything you already give us freevies. When you use the gas, you get paid back. The fees are very limited. Comes to the loan, and in my pay. I totally agree that's enough. And people don't try to take advantage of that. And people think, why do you get that much in there? When you have to put your paycheck, you have to direct deposit stuff in there. And that would show people how to do that. So far, i've had thirty people that join chime.When putin told your mother that you believe, I just always forget to figure out how to fix those i just tell him you have to do direct. I use to love this bank
I use to love this bank. Unfortunately chime doesn't help customers that have been using them for years. You would think that they would offer more bonuses to loyal customers. Some people have received the option for the loan. I receive enough money each week to be eligible period. Any customer that banks for 3 years should have all the options they off automatically. Sometimes emergency situations come up and a loyal customer should be able to turn to it's bank for some kind of help.
