What's going on at Chico's

What's going on at Chico's? On July 23, 2023, I placed a $70 order at Chico's Online Shop (the $9.90 sale). I've sent 2 messages to the email address on my receipt inquiring about my order. No response of any kind. It's now over a month since I placed my order. I order regularly online and always got my orders promptly. Have I been scammed by Chico's?

Disappointed Chicos Former Fan

I had always been a Chico’s girl. When I was working it wasn’t unusual for me to spend $1000 at a time in the store just before travel.
However, now retired, I try to shop online. Recently spent almost $200. The material vender making these clothes has changed. The tops didn’t fit true to size.
I followed return Policy. Returned at USPS on August 12th with return receipt.
Supposedly it hadn’t arrived back to Chicos. I called today. It takes 4-6 weeks to refund?
Honestly any other return is refunded after proof of return. Which Chicos has.
Between the quality change and return policy? I won’t purchase again.
Don’t buy online. If you can feel or touch and try on in the store, don’t do it.

Non-existing customer service. would call their customer service non…

I would call their customer service non existent. I am a cancer patient and recently wanted to return, exchange or get a gift card for something that I had missed the return date for due to treatments. It was 4 days late. They told me that they no longer can take anything back even if it is 1 or 2 days late. The order is taken out of their system. I hope none of them ever get cancer and need a 1 time exception. Will never shop their again.

Chico's is the best place that I shop…

Chico's is the best place that I shop for my work attire and I look fantastic at my high end sales job because of their quality garments. People always notice and comment on the days I wear clothing from Chico's. It's so profoundly beautiful that you can't help noticing it!
I sell high end furniture and my sales are tens of thousands of dollars and I feel it's critical to look phenomenal at my job. People want to work with a person who looks well put together because they feel my appearance is a reflection of my work ethic which is a good comparison. I feel more confident when I wear these clothes because I know I look as beautiful as I possibly can with clothes of this caliber. I feel entirely confident in asking people to spend the kind of money that we charge to furnish their homes when I look great. I almost exclusively shop at Chico's now because I love what these clothes do for me and the way they perform. They are so easy to take care of because they are exceptional quality.
Another thing I love to get from Chico's is their beautiful costume jewelry. It is the perfect thing to accompany these gorgeous clothes and tops off every outfit perfectly! Of course I wait for sales and promotions for items like these because they're not cheap. Fortunately Chico's has a rewards program which racks up points quickly the way I shop and I receive money to apply to my next purchase. There's been occasions where my rewards have reduced my balance significantly making it possible for me to buy the more expensive jacket or other garment that is out of my reach.
These clothes are so beautiful and every woman should have gorgeous clothing. It makes us feel pretty, elegant and put together perfectly! We are noticed by complete strangers when wearing these clothes because we look so amazing! Keep up the excellent standards Chico's!

I have had nothing but problems with the website This time it won't let me delete any of the old credit cards on my account to add new so I lost ouit on purchase

Honestly these people are dumber than…

Honestly these people are dumber than bricks. I ordered Christmas giftS ahead of time- my entire order was cancelled with zero notification. I sat online they couldn’t help me. I called customer service, got it squared away with what was actually left in stock- they expedited shipping to my mother which is -yes at a different address. They sent the order to my house!!!!!!!! It’s now December 30th and my mother has not gotten a Xmas gift. Thank you chicos.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! I purchased 2 $100 gift cards during a Black Friday special at Chicos. Included was supposed to be 2 $20 cash cards. They were to be sent no later than 7 business days after my order.
One month later, they still haven’t arrived. Try explaining that to the person receiving the gift.
Customer service was worthless and couldn’t help.
My suggestion, after seeing their very poor reviews is simple. Buy your items at a store you can trust, not Chicos!

Bait and Switch Tactics

Bait and switch tactics. Initially found products on a great sale with no mention of when the sale would end (usually sales are made clear through banner ads and such). When I returned hours later the next morning the sale prices were nowhere to be found. I also signed up for the first time customer 20% + an additional 20% discount (that never showed up in my email but other marketing emails definitely did!). I reached out to customer service and they offered to give me a call to help with my purchase (not needed, it's the pricing that was the issue). When I said I wasn't available for a call now the rep ghosted me and the function to email the transcript to my email didn't work, so I have no record of the conversation.

Just an extremely frustrating online experience. I'll be taking my dollars elsewhere.

I have been shopping at Chicos since the 1990s…

I have been shopping at Chicos since the 1990s and although customer service is now better, the fabrics used and quality of of the products has declined. I can compare Chicos old and new linen, travelers quality in my closet and I am not seeing silk in their offerings . The quality of the sewing has declined as well . I limit my purchases to shorts, capris and jeans mostly now as I can depend on size.

Love this store.

On this Saturday morning I was in need of closet renewal for fall, and with the help of Ellen in the Marlton store I found many items that fit my bill. The spree was fun, and Ellen helped me find garments that I might not have discovered on my own. I am very pleased with my purchases. Thank you Chico’s!

Big mistake, Huge mistake

I went to the Chico's at the Avenue/West Cobb County, in Marietta GA. Today's visit was the first time I had been to this particular store. I walked in and there were several sales people walking around and not a single one greeted me, asked if they could help, if I had anything in mind. Nothing, not a single word. I know they saw me as I was hard to overlook. I have been a Chico's shopper nearly twenty years, and I have spent thousands of dollars over that time. This chain as a whole has really changed, and not for the better. I have never been treated like this in a Chico’s store before; trust and believe it wont happen twice. I will not be visiting this location again. With such negative reviews, few styling options that are not wild, somewhat garish and way over priced I am not surprised that people are disappointed. I am among them. If this is what the Chico's experience is becoming I will find someplace to shop. Soft Surroundings got my money today.

My wife has been shopping with Chico's…

My wife has been shopping with Chico's for 20 years and has spent thousands and thousands of dollars with them. Today she placed an order for over $500 worth of product only to realize that although the billing address had been changed for some reason the ship to address did not update to our new address. She called back immediately but had to call 2 times because she got disconnected. When she got hold of customer service a full 5 to 7 minutes had passed and they would not change the ship to address and infact, the first agent would not to anything and only said we would have to contact the old address and have them forward. She spoke with 2 supervisors and got disconnected twice only to have to cancel the order and will no longer purchase product from Chico's. In this day and age a better system is needed and certainly better customer service! So long Chico's.

What Happened to Chico's?

Have been a big fan of Chico's for a while but the quality of their products is in steap decline. The workmanship is flawed and the materials are of poor quality and unfortunately their prices are no bargain. In the past, haven't minded paying a little more for the selection (for more mature women) and the quality but now I believe that I have purchased my last items from Chico's.

I wanted to drop a note about the service I received last Friday. My daughter and I stopped in to check what is on the racks and wanted to cash in a gift card. My usual helper is a Russian lady - while she may be pushy, she always remembers my preferences and size. Unfortunately, she was not in at that time. I am not sure if the lady who seemed to rule and owned the store - checked my points. The first time she ran my debit card, it was rejected. I double-checked with my bank and resolved any issue that was preventing the transaction. The next 10 minutes were spent while we tried to show her the validity of the transaction and availability of the funds - I guess because we were close to her closing time, she was not interested. She was demeaning to both of us and to the other lady who worked in the store. I don't care what her position is. Although my bank account was credited and the transaction was reversed - her salesmanship has simply confirmed that I need to shop when Vera is working or just take my business to another location. And the entire My Closet: Don't get me started on that mess!! I don't know who's closet that is - But I have proof of my past purchases and it is none of that garbage. SAD!! My review dates 12/21/18 still apply- So ... They do not care and after almost 4 years - I should have stuck to my original decision and gone somewhere else.

Pricing themselves out of the market

I looove(d) Chicos clothing, and have gotten most of my wardrobe from them in the past 10 years. but they have priced themselves right out of their own market. $149 jeans and $99 shirts???? What??? I understand inflation and supply chain issues, but Chicos has raised their prices by 50%. That is insulting to women.

Also - they used to have wonderful site-wide sales, 25% to 40% off everything. Now: Mix and Match bracelets - 2 for $45. I don’t shop at Chicos for their bracelets. Insulting to women.

The Rewards Program is marketing smoke and mirrors. Charge me 50% more than last year, but give me a token reward?? Give your customers some credit.

My advice to Chicos: I get that you are trying to succeed in a tough environment. But someone at the top is taking you in the wrong direction if your loyal customers can no longer afford your product.

Online theft

I used to shop online with Chicos, but have stopped. There is no loyalty to a Passport member. I attempted to purchase a jacket (had it in my shopping cart) and while continuing to shop for additional items it was sold out. Most companies will give you a time limit for the items in your cart. NOT CHICOS!!!!! I called to complain but got the "thats our policy" excuse along with an additional example of the same thing happening to a lady attempting to purchase a dress for a wedding! Shame on Chicos, you CAN do better. I have learned from my experience. So much for trying to save Chicos additional shipping costs. I will just order EVERYTHING one item at a time since shipping is free to Passport members.
