Without going into detail

Without going into detail, I’d strongly advise staying far away from Chatr based on my worst experience. The service and overall customer experience were shockingly bad, easily among the worst I’ve dealt with. If you’re currently using them, I’d strongly recommend switching to another provider as soon as possible, you’ll save yourself a lot of unnecessary frustration.

What a horrible company I set up my…

What a horrible company I set up my phone with Chatr 3 days ago and am having issues with my data come to find out they discontinued there phone help line in 2024 and won’t respond to emails this is ridiculous coming from a phone carrier service and I expected more from them but I am going to switch to a better service now since they obviously don’t care about their customers I will never use chatr again You should be ashamed of yourselfs

Avoid this company and Rogers as well…

Avoid this company and Rogers as well they are the same people. Slow internet and hight hidden fees.

I'm telling you from my own experience, stay without a phone rather than have one with them, you'll be a miserable person about something you paid for.

This company doesnt even deserve one…

This company doesn't even deserve one star. their absolutely hands down worst company. ill start from the beginning.
I purchased a e sim from them and set up automatic payment with them first month was great no issues i loved them. then billing day came. I'm set up for automatic payments, so i wasn't worried at all about the bill being paid, that is until I received a email saying I'm no longer set up with automatic payments odd but whatever so i go try to pay the bill manually. i have the funds but for some reasons the funds aren't being processed, so i try to contact customer support .... this is where the fun started.... get this they have no customer support only ai. Finally ai suggested it was my bank and to call them. Alright fair, so i call my bank. the guy i called said there was no issue on there side. The money's leaving the bank account, but for some reason Chatr keeps sending it back. i attempted to make this payment like 7 times even the bank guy commented saying u really been trying to pay this (well of course i have i need a phone) so ultimately no customer service and they wont accept my payment i tried hard to reach out emailing and everything never got a person so i had no choice but to move on so i went to lucky . you would think that would be the end of this story but it gets worse,
so a month after this issue. That is correct, it took them a entire month to finally reach out. which as u will see it wasn't even a person following up with me it was just more ai they messaged me out of the blue 1st message read your service is now active... 2nd message comes in stating thank u for being a loyal chatr customer for being so loyal we decided to give a month on us. okay lol i was with them 1 month don't know how that classifies me as a loyal chatr customer but alright, free month, however by this time i had moved on and started with lucky mobile instead which is a fantastic provider highly recommend and cheap just like chatr. with lucky though i had a physical sim, so this free month being chatr i have a e-sim and lucky physical made both numbers work on my one phone which was very confusing cause i couldn't keep track of whose number belonged to what service provider which is ultimately how chatr ended up getting me back.
so this next part ultimately is why I'm writing this review,
so a month or two after being with chatr again my screen on my phone went black i couldn't see anything i couldn't do anything with it so i needed to use my old phone, but chatr i have the e-sim with not easy like lucky now i have to transfer the sim from my phone i cant see my screen to the new old phone i have laying around. not that east and with no customer support was impossible for me to figure out. so i decided whatever ill just purchase a new e-sim but i cant do that without purchasing a plan to add onto it at the same time dumb but whatever. well the great company that chatr is not only charged me twice but the service also didn't work. lol yup their great (sarcasim) anyways i emailed and of course got ai who told me they don't do refunds so they charged me twice and refuse to reimbursement for their mess up... and also the service didn't even work so 2 weeks later i get a email telling me my service is active again i have moved on to lucky and all i want from chatr is my money back id like to get a lawyer but it would cost me more than they stole from me which they know i wont but if i had more money i would cause its the principal and their criminals stealing from people trying to get a cheap plan. but least i can try to warn people about these criminals cause they are the worst phone company out there hands down, please for your sake try a different provider I'm with lucky again never had a problem with them at all and their plans are just as cheap.

The terrible UI is INTENTIONAL

Rogers makes using a prepaid service like Chatr INTENTIONALLY a terrible experience to get you roped into a post paid plan. It's strategic, and predatory!
How the hell do you find out your account balance when your service expires for the month? You can't use the *611 to find out, it only gives you the most ridiculous (voice activated) option, top up blindly. The single worst user experience I have ever had with a provider.

The website indicated ESim compatability - gave them the $... no eSim Q code, no customer support, no way to communicate for resolution. Cancelled the transaction through my Visa - GOOD RIDDANCE Chatr... shame on you!!

SHUBH was so very helpful and kind. He took his time with us and went over and beyond to help us connect with Chatr.
His customer service is exceptional! I would recommend the Mcleod Road building for customer service .

No customer support

It’s one thing not to offer customer support by phone, but how do you also not have an online chat service in this day and age? That’s a basic expectation. It feels as though you simply do not want to help your customers at all.
Telecom is a service‑provider industry. Where, exactly, is the service?

no help from "customer service"

like most of the reviews I looked at, it started out good.
then Feb/26 I was billed 2 times for 1 phone and billed 1 time for my second phone. we only have 2 phones. it didn't believe me when I contacted their "customer service" bot. it's so madding not being able to talk with a real, live person! I was communicating with this customer service thingy and it wanted screenshots of the bills, sent all 3, BANG!! haven't heard a thing since. got hold of my cc company and put in a dispute on the second charge. hopefully my cc company will have better luck than me. I'm going to cancel my autopay system and pay monthly at a kiosk. great prices, absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. buyer beware!!

Reliable, Trustworthy and Affordable.

Chatr is great; I have have trusted them for over 10 years and I continue to. I live in the country, work in the city and travel throughout Ontario, and I always have reception. Their high speed 4G is highly compatible with my 2024 Moto G Play's potential and my plan perfectly suits my lifestyle.

None of these so called services actually provide any service. How do they get away with treating people so incredibly poorly. But we are stuck with it because it because they are all the same.

If I could I will rate Chatr 0

If I could I will rate Chatr 0, I subscribe them yesterday and since then I haven't be able talk or to receive calls, there is no way to contact them, they do not have customer service on the phone or chat, the only way to submit the problem and they will answer in 48 hours. Cheese 48 hours in the meantime I do have communication with no one and I have important calls to make and receive.
People don't subscribe to Chatr avoid mental suffering and depression.

I have been with chatr for pretty close to 20 years now and with the same number lol. Unheard of these days.
I have had nothing but the best all these years...BUT...now all of a sudden you can't talk to anyone, a person, not AI, not prompts, A real human being.
Chatr has been so helpful and kind has really helped me through some horrible times. But that was when you were actually able to TALK to someone.
Chatr...please bring your people back

Any N11 call I made in Alberta was…

Any N11 call I made in Alberta was routed through Ontario. Apparently they did it to bypass regulations and make it appear that I had good coverage … until I tried to call any N11 number. 811 was out of Ottawa, I’m Alberta. 511, 211 also Ontario from my Alberta based sim and phone and person. They wouldn’t fix it.

Because I can't log into my account

Because I can't log into my account. I have a valid number with a valid account . That means i can fully use it, it's fully been paid, data and reception working fine. But I can't log into my account online. I get the verification in my eMail AND on my phone, but the system won't let me lo in. In the rogers store they can't help me. Service hotline will always kick me out. The online ticket system always send me the same useless non-working troubleshooting response even though it's validated with sms and I specifically request not to send me that same message. Why do they do that? I literally have no other choice then using a different provider. And now I even receive verification requests that I didn't trigger, e.g. from square. Meaning they might have also registered this phone number twice. If had had to stick with this company I'd be absolutely scewed
