We've been dealing with Charlie who has been fantastic - very friendly, helpful and supportive.
When we wanted to put in an offer, we had to complete a long and detailed form- much more so than with other agents. We found it confusing especially the section on when we'd be committed to paying the holding deposit. We made a couple of mistakes on the form, but Charlie gave us the benefit of the doubt and made sure that we had the chance to correct them without it impacting our chance of getting an offer accepted.
To book a house viewing, we went in person to the Botley branch. I'd thoroughly recommend this, since we had issues with trying to get hold of and book in with other chancellors branches via phone (East Oxford and Headington were bad for this).
The other negative is that when we were completing our property passport through the lettings hub, at every opportunity we were pushed to buy various other products- insurance, removals services, premium referencing, etc. The tone often read as almost threatening when we opted not to buy them. I don't know how this compares to other local agents.

We are purchasing a property advertised by Chancellors. We have been dealing with Ethan, he has been informative, friendly and professional.
He helped to arrange a 2nd viewing with short notice. We are happy with the service they are providing so far.

Our house selling process started in Dec 22 and finally completed in May 25!
Unfortunately there were lots of hiccups along the way, but Chancellors dealt with all the challenges thrown at them efficiently and kept me fully updated on all developments.
They helped make a very stressful experience more bearable!

We have been liaising with Ethan very often in the last 4 months trying to navigate the housing market. Ethan has excellent communication skills and he has always been helpful, honest and considerate. It's great that we had an advisor to guide us through.

As a tenant, Chancellors keeps disappointing me with their lack of urgency when related to property issues. Their Property Management team lacks organisation and care! I understand some landloards are trickier than others but every request is a battle! We lived with spreading mold on our W/C and a leak on our living room ceiling from the en-suite for months before they actioned anything. If you’re a tenant, think twice before signing a tenancy as you will be placed in situation where you are waiting for weeks/ months for repairs. If you’re a landlord, also consider how well they will maintain your property for you!

Daisy has been helping is manage our property. She is very kind always attentive and very responsive. She is very responsible and makes the management of the property very easy. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her. She has helped with resolving sometimes very difficult issues ensuring that my tenants are happy. Thank you for a very amazing performance!

Tom Houlihan offered us an excellent service when we went to view a house. Tom was patient, kind and generous enough to share his knowledge. Tom’s fantastic work was special to us considering that his colleague, Cormac Thomas-Hale, had confirmed the viewing of the house via email but did not show up to our viewing and did not let us know in advance. Tom Houlihan was already at the property showing it to others, but seeing our family had travelled already there at a great expense for us he gave us ten minutes to see the property and answered our questions, for which we remain grateful. Disappointingly, neither of them followed up on our viewing, and so far no one at Chancellors has responded to our new requests to see other properties recently added. From this experience, it seems that Chancellors has a very disorganised team that do not prioritise communication and satisfaction with customers.
