The staff were all fabulous And Sam the cruise manager made the whole experience so memorable
We had the best experience on our Mekong cruise on board the Indochine. Sam our cruise director was the best. He made sure everyone on board had the best experience on and off the ship. All of the team on board were happy and helpful and we really enjoyed all of their company. The excursions were fun and different and we had great English speaking guides the whole way so language was easy. Would highly recommend this cruise.
This was a real experience – from the moment we joined the Indochine 1, we had an excellent time. To sum it up, the onboard catering was superb, the carefully planned and varied programme of excursions proved most interesting, and the onboard services were to a high standard. The Cruise Director made sure we were kept well informed both about the itinerary and the forthcoming activities. Perhaps the critical factor was that the staff were always friendly and attentive and constantly ensured that everyone was happy. It made for a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Then there were delightful touches of comfort, from always being welcomed back from a hot trip out with an iced drink and a cold facecloth, to a 24-hour option of tea, coffee, home-made biscuits, sweets, ice cold beers and water. Those with food allergies were easily accommodated, while a couple of passengers who’d had the misfortune to pick up a virus en route were given every comfort while on the boat. And as we passed along the river, we saw fishermen at work, floating villages and fabulous sunsets. We had the most amazing experiences on the excursions too, from joining a class of 6 year-olds in a village school (we sat at the back of the classroom, not being able to recite the alphabet), to having a Water Blessing in a Buddhist temple, haggling in the hurly burly of local markets, visiting royal palaces as well as local craftspeople and potteries, and in a real ‘Apocalypse Now/ Heart of Darkness’ moment, paddling down a shaded narrow waterway under a curtain of tall palm fronds into the unknown. But perhaps the highlight was the performance on board of a very professional traditional Cambodian Apsara dance troupe right in front of us. It was a really excellent holiday – thanks to all on the Indochine.
We had a fantastic cruise. The ship was very comfortable and a good size. I would especially like to thank Sam, the cruise directo for his kindness and , openness as well as the entire crew for their professionalism.
The food was excellent as was the service. The staff was unbeatable and so friendly.
Sam was very personable. It was a pleasure to have someone in charge who spoke several languages and could communicate with all of us.
Always a friendly hello with a smile.
Highly recommend this cruise and this staff. You won't be disappointed🌞.
Cruising the Mekong on this majestic, traditional wooden vessel was completely immersive. We weren't just watching the world pass by; we were part of it. We stepped off to cycle through vibrant villages, shared smiles with locals at every stop, and truly felt the heartbeat of the river. A genuinely astonishing journey.
we were pedaling through serene palm villages with the scent of local markets in the air, the leaves rustling overhead, the smell of palm sugar being processed nearby. We met with families who showed us their traditional crafts, and that made the whole experience so much more personal.
By night, we'd relax on the deck under a tapestry of stars, the sounds of the river the only soundtrack.
Every meal was gourmet and crews are so friendly, helpful and warm welcome, especially Mitch, Phanit, and Tola, thank you for your marvelous hospitality.
I will absolutely join you guys again.
Thank you.
This Mekong river cruise on the Toum Tiou II was a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the things I appreciated most was the range of activities offered throughout the journey. The itinerary struck an excellent balance between activity and relaxation, making the trip feel engaging without ever seeming rushed. The cycling excursions were particularly enjoyable, allowing us to explore local villages and countryside at a relaxed pace, and the kayaking was another highlight.
The Toum Tiou II itself is a relatively small ship, which adds to the authentic and intimate atmosphere of the cruise. Its size creates a more personal experience, both in terms of service and social interaction with fellow passengers.
The crew on board were fantastic: warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was also very good throughout the cruise, with a nice variety of dishes and consistently high quality.
Overall, this was a very activity-filled cruise with many unforgettable experiences along the Mekong. I truly loved the journey.
Beautiful boat, amazing crew.
Lots to see and do
Our cruise experience on the Toum Toum Tiou II was the experience of a lifetime. We travelled as a large family group and had the benefit of booking the whole boat, which worked perfectly for us. If you’re in a similar situation with a big group, this is an ideal way to do it.
The food was second to none. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meals and any special dietary needs were catered for without issue.
All of the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and clearly enjoyed seeing us have a great time. They went out of their way to make sure everyone had what they needed.
The daily tours were excellent. Cycling through villages, visiting schools, temples, markets, pottery making, palm sugar, rice fields and more. Being on the river gets you to parts of the region you simply wouldn’t see otherwise. The days were busy and interesting, and the evenings were great relaxing on the sun deck with beers and cocktails as we cruised to the next stop.
The boat itself is in excellent condition with comfortable air-conditioned cabins and all the amenities you need.
We would have no hesitation recommending this cruise.
It was a great all round trip well organised and always made interesting
We had a really wonderful time and met some new friends on the cruise. The size of the vessel was perfect with only 14 cabins for passengers so that it was possible to get to know our fellow passengers, the crew was friendly and efficient, the food was consistently good and the purser Mitch had the operation running like clockwork. It was a 9 day break where we could relax and enjoy ourselves and be shown the real life situation on the banks of the Mekong and in the surrounding countryside.

Many thanks to Youty and Hazel at the CroisiEurope Office in Cambodia for all their help and assistance in booking our trip between 22nd December and 31st December 2025.
This Cruise is exceptional in all respects and enables one to thoroughly experience the real Culture of Vietnam and Cambodia in a very unique way.
The Toum Tiou II is a wonderful looking boat and makes one feel one is travelling back in time with all the excellent amenities and Cabins.
Many thanks to the outstanding Mitch and his crew who are all 'Stars' 24/7. The happiest and most satisfying boat cruise we have ever taken. The Service and care the Crew give is 100% at all times. All the food is totally 5 Star. If it wasn't for the exercise one does experiencing all the incredibly interesting excursions, one would be considerably heavier by the end of the Cruise. Walking, cycling, canoeing, Sampans, Tuk Tuks, are all great fun. Something for all ages and always an alternative back-up should one need it.
This Cruise surpassed all our expectations and we would highly recommend it to all.
Many thanks

Incredible value. I did a similar 9day/8night New Discovery cruise tour aboard the Toum Tiou 2 six months ago traveling Siem Reap to Saigon. For my bucket list experience this time I did the reverse. The 14-cabin boat in the colonial style creates laid-back traveling on the Mekong with lots of land excursions into the 'real' Asia. My room featured a double bed. There was a lot of variety in the food served. Staff including the captain, purser and housekeeping were friendly, warm and helpful. Recommend.

Loved this cruise. It is a small ship (max of 28 passengers) with active and cultural excursions off the boat every day - walking tours, cycling tours, kayaking, Tuk Tuk tours, boat rides (sampans, row boats and motor boats), museums, markets (food and clothes)...It was a very busy, fun and interesting itinerary. I feel I have a real insight now into how local people live along the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam.

Sailing the Mekong on the intimate Toum Tiou II was nothing short of extraordinary. Over nine days, my mum and I were cared for with warmth, attentiveness and genuine hospitality.
As a coeliac, I was amazed by the safe, delicious meals prepared just for me – from gluten-free pho to pastries waiting at breakfast each morning. The crew’s care turned meals from stressful to joyful.
Excursions felt authentic and flexible, giving us the freedom to explore separately or together, while the small group size made it easy to connect with fellow travellers. The atmosphere onboard was relaxed, comfortable and deeply personal – more like being part of a community than just passengers on a ship.
The only thing I would do differently next time is book the all-inclusive package so drinks and bonus activities were covered from the start.
A truly unforgettable, coeliac-safe journey that I will treasure forever.

We sailed from Siem Riep to Saigon on Toum Tiou II. The ship is lovely and comfortable and the crew efficient and nice. The food is tasty and diverse. We discovered many beautiful sites ( temples, museums, islands, rivers) and had also several opportunities to catch a glimpse of how people live and work in Cambodia and Vietnam.

This was my first cruise, and although I've visited Cambodia and Vietnam before, cruising down the Mekong from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City was an unforgettable way to experience this unique part of the world. Since the RV Toum Tiou II is a compact ship, we were able to stay close to the shoreline for an immersive cultural experience with excursions into villages, markets, temples, towns and cities. I have to say Cambodians are some of the happiest people I've ever met.
Onboard the cabins were very comfortable with private ensuites and air-conditioning (trust me, you'll be very grateful for this luxury), the food was tasty and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. I can't think of a more perfect way to end each day than with a G&T on the sundeck at sunset.
The 8-day Discovery Cruise is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of cruising or for anyone with a passion for soft adventure with a Cambodian & Vietnamese twist.
I joined the Toum Tiou II with CF Mekong Cruises as a media guest, so my experience aboard wasn't necessarily typical of what a paying guest might have, but nonetheless, I can't recommend it highly enough.
