Wrongful Advertisement of a room

Not at all helpful after booking a room on the internet ( Suite King Room clearly stating pet friendly and an additional fee required) I phoned the hotel direct to see where about the room would be as I was bringing my dog only to be told we where not allowed to be in a Suite with a pet the hotel phoned back the next day offering a Classic room which have not been renovated and didn’t look at all of good standard, the hotel offered no pet fee and no car parking fee also a buffet breakfast which I personally hate in hotels if I’m away in a 4 star hotel I much prefer a waiter and food to be cooked fresh and brought to the table , all this by the way adds up to what I paid for a Suite we paid part hotel . Com vouchers and part cash the hotel eventually agreed to a refund which they did from there end as we could not get hold of hotels.com to late on a Friday afternoon we received the part cash refund and lost all are vouchers due to her doing this and where totally surprised when they phoned back to say what they had donebut member off staff was not at all sympathetic to this and not helpful then offered to re book the hotel for us and we pay them in full again but to late we have lost the vouchers this is now Friday 24 late afternoon and we where staying Sunday 26 April we now have to find another hotel and pay in full
I have never been treated so badly by a hotel ever ! I have a picture of the website clearly stating a Suite advertising a PET friendly room !

we had Christmas dinner on Christmas…

we had Christmas dinner on Christmas day ,we were freezing we had to eat with our coats on because it was so cold, the food was also cold, the veg was hard and the meat was like leather, total waste of money .Avoid this place. We did tell our waiter ,he was not interested and we spoke to the manager who just said put it in your feedback form, which I did but that was a waste of time because they haven't even bothered to get in touch about it.Wd would have been better going to Toby carvery because at least the food is hot

Great service in a stunning dining room

We visited Ambers restaurant at Cedar Court in Harrogate for a Birthday Sunday lunch. The dining room is beautiful blending period features with modernity. Wonderful decoration and furniture adding to a great atmosphere.
The greeting from Matteo at the desk was warm and friendly and we were quickly shown to our table. We were given time to review the menu and did not feel hurried or rushed, on the contrary Matteo paced the start very well. A recommendation to try the lamb on the main course was made and when it arrived it did not disappoint.
We ordered starters that arrived promptly and were very enjoyable.
The main course Sunday roast served by Paloma, Anne and Charlotte was superb as was the service. Excellent meats, vegetables and additional gravy delivered to the table without asking. Yorkshire puddings of a high standard.
As the portion sizes were generous along with the sides ordered we decided not to have dessert so cannot comment on this. It was a wonderful surprise to have a cake with customised plate and candle brought to the table to celebrate my birthday, sincerely appreciated. The team sang Happy Birthday too which was an unexpected but welcome surprise.
Overall I cannot fault the wonderful service received from the team members mentioned in this review who should be commended for their efforts.
Well done once again to Matteo, Paloma, Anne and Charlotte for making my Birthday meal a fantastic experience. I wont hesitate to recommend Ambers and look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed at Cedar court Harrogate Yorkshire. From the friendly morning of the journey text message received we knew we were in for a treat. The hotel, grounds, interior and rooms were lovely. Free drink voucher on check in. Just over 5 minutes stroll into Harrogate. Gorgeous breakfast was enjoyed in the elegant dining area. Attentive staff throughout. Will definitely be returning

The hotel was clean and well kept

The hotel was clean and well kept. The food was nothing to write home about but was well prepared and presented. What made the stay so enjoyable was the friendliness of all the staff - Amirah and Chelsea injected a load of fun into our visit.

Hi all,

Hi all,

I have stayed at Cedar Court Hotel Bradford multiple times.
The service is terrible. We had to ask multiple times to change linen etc.

On top they subcontracted to a company issuing parking fines.
Despite paying we have received penalty notices twice. The last time I paid for parking was in front of their manager Leanne.
I still got penalty notices.

Don’t stay there unless you attend as a daytime guest on conference or on a wedding party.

Find a better hotel in Bradford.

Scam advertising

Hi. I drive past the cedar and see massive sign attracting people to sign for gym membership. There is a message saying no joining fee, free trial, free carpark. So I did visit the place to see the gym facilities and potentially sign the new membership. I walk waiting at reception desk it was busy so walk round on my own then back to reception desk then it was still busy! So decided to visit next time. In total I was there 30 minutes and I have letter with 100£ car parking penalty. I feel like this advertisement with free carpark is inviting people to park then get fines. So unfair and scam.

Very unprofessional management

Trampy hotel, dried urine on the toilet and floor. A open safety pin on the floor, had to get moved to new clean room, none of the TVs worked in both rooms.

Staff are extremely incompetent still haven't been given my refund some 3 weeks later. Alleged managers charly and Rebecca have been nothing but reluctant and evasive and very unprofessional.

I wouldn't advice staying here because the hotel is run my unprofessional staff and if you have a issue it is very unlikely to be rectified.

Definitely not Dog Friendly

I have just stayed at the Huddersfield Cedar Court, and am finding this a difficult review to write as I hate writing anything negative.
I will, therefore, start on the many positives. A really lovely, welcoming foyer, an extremely comfortable, clean bed and an excellent breakfast. The staff were lovely - especially Megan on breakfasts and the lovely young man on reception who really did do his best for me. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name.
My main issue was the fact this is meant to be a dog friendly hotel but it absolutely isn’t!! On the surface it seems great. A water and treat station in the foyer, a bed in the room and two bowls for food and water. Lovely!
However, the dog bed was far too small for my dog - fortunately I had taken my own. The bedroom was not good, black mould on the silicon in the bathroom, chips out of the toilet seat, the carpet looked dirty and not even hoovered - it was covered in bits! Now I don’t expect the best suite, given I had my dog with me - a small medium / size poochon who does not moult and is immaculately clean, but as I had actually paid more than my relatives for the same room they had I couldn’t believe the difference! Having a dog doesn’t mean I should have to accept a shoddy room! Furthermore the room was on floor two of three, and in the middle! Whose idea is this? Have they given any thought to what a dog might do or need? I was so worried about him barking and disturbing people above, below and to both sides that I had no sleep! A wedding party were still roaming the corridors after 1am talking loudly etc. This made my dog stressed as he’d never stayed in a hotel before. If I’d been at the end of the corridor he would not have heard the same level of noise! If you put the dogs on floor one the owner can easily get them out if they need to go out in the night or early morning! It just needs thinking through!
At breakfast I wasn’t allowed in the main restaurant - absolutely fine but there is an area that flies into the reception area - why not make the last two tables - away from food and other guests reservable for dog owners? Instead I had to sit at a computer station - it’s not even made clear this is where you have to sit! No condiments, napkins, cutlery etc to welcome you. I felt like a leper! I then had to leave my dog well away from me when I went for food. Basically I was expected to leave my dog unsupervised in a foyer!!! Not safe and not fair! I found the whole experience very stressful so I ate a very small breakfast as I didn’t want to go back for anything. I also felt so uncomfortable sat for ages on my own in this area. I was later told another resident had been allowed her dog in the area near the drinks for a few weeks!!! I was told I had to move!
How is this dog friendly? No dog waste bins in the grounds that I could see either! Very disappointed and a real shame.

Wonderful stay

I stayed for one night at the hotel for a work event. Upon walking into the hotel the warmth was welcomed coming in from the wind/rain, first impressions were great, stunning decor. Check in was nice and easy. The room was well presented, clean/tidy. The bed was comfortable. The food from the restaurant was great as was the customer service, Joanna was friendly, polite and attentive. All members of staff were helpful, polite and welcoming, nothing was too much to ask for. Would 100% reccommend the hotel

The amazing suite at Cedar Court Huddersfield 5Star+++++++++++++++

As a regular visitor to Cedar Court Huddersfield once again would like to thank all members of staff at this hotel. All staff are very friendly and helpful.
On this visit the hotel was full and i did not get my usual room and was fortunate to be put into the suite.
OMG this room is amazing, recently refurbished, very tasteful. The decoration of the room has been very well though out and the room is so comfortable. You could not ask for anything more in this luxurious room it is perfect. thank you guys for putting me in there and any time its free when i'm checking in would be more than happy for you to put me in there 🤣 even though my usual room is fabulous. i would also like to say its not just the room that makes this hotel great to stay in but the staff from housekeeping to kitchen staff to front of house they are a great team.

Lovely People

I was at CC Bradford for a Speed Awareness Course which is nobody's idea of fun, I was late and a little nervous, couldn't work out how to pay for parking and was freezing.
Thankfully Jacqui and Farzana were at hand, they were lovely. They helped me sort out my parking, made me a coffee and generally did everything they could do to make me feel welcome. Thank-you.
