They're OK.

GOOD
* Reliable - never had any issues receiving orders and delivery times are reasonable from US to UK.
* Love the 15% off offers - almost removes that annoying 20% VAT. It does tempt me to pick up titles that I might not have otherwise - so it does work.
* Competitive. Sometimes. I often compare to Amazon US and if there's not much in it, I'll go with WOWHD. But any more, I won't be loyal. You get loyalty (if you want to call it that) by being competitive.

BAD
* Customer service often VERY slow to respond. It's particularly bad if you want to cancel an order - they are often so slow the order has shipped before they respond. Look after your customers better, WOWHD ! Of course, if orders could be cancelled on the website ...

I've used WOWHD for years and I'll continue to do so. They're OK. The 15% sale is the iced fondant of this particular cake.

Short changed!

I recently ordered and paid for an imported vinyl. Paid £86, the release was pulled, refunded £67 so £18 has just disappeared?
Don't bother emailing "customer service" as you won't get a reply.
Use Amazon!

Lost item, hard work for a refund

An order submitted in May never arrived. When I followed it up WOW HD said they'd have to follow it up with THEIR delivery agent. Weeks went past, when I asked for an update "still waiting" more weeks went past finally they say I need to submit a claim form to THEIR insurer for a refund. So I am running around claiming a refund to their insurance agent (on their behalf) because THEIR delivery agent failed to deliver and couldn't track the item on THEIR tracking system. What a frustrating waste of time and money this place is. Go to amazon or a real company with people employed and trained to deliver customer service. You'll have to work hard for any outcomes if they fail in any steps along the way

If you are considering buying from…

If you are considering buying from WOWHD be prepared to endure endless delays and a total lack of support from the company. I purchased an item recently but it went "missing" in the US postal system and neither WOWHD or the courier company could tell me what had happened or where my item was. I eventually received a refund through Paypal but I had to waste a great deal of time on the whole situation. Your poor service reflects very badly on you WOWHD. You would think that, after reading the large number of negative reviews about you, that you would take action to improve, but obviously you don't think a great deal of your customers. You will NEVER get my business again.

Stay away

Stay away, up until about 6 years ago this was an excellent site to order from. I ordered a Peter Gabriel cd/dvd from the old WOWHD and there was a region problem with the DVD so I returned it and got online credit. The company changed hands and they had no record of my credit and wouldn't honour what was owed to me. I've never bought anything from them again

I wasn’t going to bother with this review but checking online it seems these lot need to be outed for their continuing bad service that’s tying up customers money!

As A LOT of other people have experienced I basically had my money held for ages only to be given a refund after nothing happening and my repeated chasing followed by a demand for a refund via PayPal dispute.
I ordered a MONOPOLY SOPRANOS EDITION that was marked for PRE-ORDER on the 6th August.

On the 23rd of August after hearing nothing the item was then showing on the website as OUT OF STOCK so I chased via email and got a VERY generic email reply stating the following:
We apologize for the delay with the shipping on this order.
Please note that as of now the item is backordered and we are waiting for copies to be available to ship.
Is important for you to know that we do not handle expected date for backordered items.
Thank you for your patience.

On the 6th September I then chased again after no updates or item received and received the following:
We're sorry to inform you that the item(s) are temporarily out of stock. Back order item(s) are typically filled within 45 days. The item(s) will ship as soon as they become available.
If we are unable to fulfil the item(s) requested, the item(s) will be cancelled, and you will be notified via email.

I opened a paypal case and replied saying such and requesting an immediate refund which was processed the next day with paypal advising such and the money was back with me 24 hours later.

Basically this company are REPEATEDLY taking orders for items they do not have in stock or ANY IDEA of a release/stocking date and ONLY WHEN CHASED are they letting you know they intend to keep you waiting for WEEKS at a time!

KAPOW! WOWzersHolyDishonest???

Ordered 'NEW' Blu-ray, it will be the first and last time I do.

FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU, FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME!

I did research WOWHD for reviews beforehand and was concerned with some of the feedback but I really wanted this film and
it was cheaper than ordering through ebayuk, now I know why!

Item arrived in about 11 days in an undamaged adequate thin'ish brown ribbed package, not as good as a padded envelope imo.

Blu-ray was shrink wrapped. Upon opening the transparent outer sleeve is totally wrinkled, looks terrible, something I've never experienced with shrink wrapped items from retailers in the UK.

At the bottom of the spine some of the plastic has snapped off.
Now baring in mind this was sealed but there is no broken plastic to be found, very suspicious.

Now I notice the paper cover is protruding out quite a bit above the transparent sleeve. The front top edge of the paper cover has several small tears and scuffs. The disc itself has a finger mark on it, though does play ok.

Do they expect customers to believe this is 'NEW' and not 'USED' and re-sealed?

I contact WOWzersHolyDishonest??? letting them know my thoughts attaching several photo's. I inform them I will be
leaving feedback on trustpilot and bluray.com if the matter is not resolved to my satsifaction.

They replied within 24-48hrs offering me a measly 10% refund for the Blu-ray case damage or I can return it to the USA address given for an exchange or full refund.
They do not even acknowledge or mention the small tears to the paper cover or that I have been sent a 'USED' item even if in error!

Now there is no way I am going to returm the item at my own risk which could go missing in the postal system, I would have to pay the postage and it would take up to 2 weeks or 4 weeks for an exchange to arrive.

Under protest I reluctantly accepted the 10% refund.

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

Yikes

Yikes - previously dealt with this company a few years ago and had CDs and records delivered to NZ cut-price no problems. Ordered a new double CD in late October 2017. By early December it still hadnt arrived and in order to meet Paypal dispute deadlines I filed a dispute and emailed Wow HD to advise them of this. Then I went overseas on holiday and near the end of that (Jan 2018) noted they had simply refunded my money. Sweet. However after all that mucking around, check iTunes first - I paid $28NZD for the CD and then saw I could get it on iTunes for $15NZD (my fault totally). So yea, the CD still hasnt arrived, lucky I got the refund. Dont go here people......

Great Service

Great priced CD's especially considering that postage is free. Nowhere have I found such reasonable prices and believe me I've bought CD's from everywhere on the planet. Excellent selection of titles and CD's have always arrived in good time. Very impressive service.

Fast dispatch and good prices.

I order many items from WOW HD and by far the majority arrive in good time, considering they are being sent from the USA, and you can buy items not readily available in the UK. There have been a couple of instances where an item hasn't turned up or arrived late and their customer service is sporadic and they do have a tendency to tell you to wait unrealistically long timescales for items to arrive but on the whole, they are very good and I will continue to use them. Some of the reviews I have read on here don't seem to take into account that items are being sent from abroad and sometimes you have to wait a few weeks for something to arrive.

This is totally unacceptable!!! I have contacted CD Wow 7 times (2 times via the on-line form, 5 times via e-mail) regarding an order number, for which they have received payment in November 2015, but where you claim, you have not registered the order! The first time I got the answer, that the order was not registered, but when I told, that they despite of that had drawn the money from my account, there was total silence. Unless the money is returned immediately, I will see, if I can proceed with legal actions, to get my money back. On top of that, I really expect a huge apology from from the company for the waste of my time!!!

NO CD!

I ordered a CD as a gift and waited.........and waited!! The money had been taken, i contacted customer services - no reply! again i contacted them and you have guessed it - no reply again! On checking my order i noted that the CD had not even been dispatched and that it was marked backorder - meaning that the item actually was not even in stock and that it could be another 4 weeks!! When i had placed the order i received a confirmation of order and at no time did it state out of order - my money should never have been taken and i have now opened a dispute via paypal. Not happy!

cd wow doesn't give a damn thing about their customers

i pre-ordered the game killzone mercenary (order 458561483) & since day one of the release date it was on stock but they didnt send me the game. Customers who order it after the pre-order & paid more for it got prioritise.

I just recieved the game today! How is it possible that i recieve it17 days after release date & i didnt recieved any pre-order bonus either! I recieved a regular edition with no download voucher !

Thats not the only thing couse they canceld another game & they send this answer: "this item is out of stock and it is not currently made available to us through our supplier panel". Within one or two days it was in stock again but now for a far more higher price!!!
