Items were dispatched quickly, but did take a little longer to arrive. However Castleberg is based in the north of the country and I am in the south, and postage was free, so no complaints.

Hiking Boots Purchase
I ordered the Topo Athletic hiking boots after speaking to a couple of people at Castleberg Outdoors. They gave me objective advice on both the hiking boots vs alternatives and also things like lacing techniques and after care. A great experience and would highly recommend.

A good family business.
They had just what I was looking for at a competitive price. Delivery was prompt, on a better mail service than I'd chosen. There was a minor problem with the order but the sales team dealt with this rapidly at their expense. The email correspondence showed that there are real people in the shop who care about customers.

A great family-run store
It’s good to see that local, family-run businesses can still cut it alongside the big stores. Castleberg has been around for years and I remember buying from the shop a long time ago. It was easy to think they’d disappeared like many other smaller outlets but they’ve cropped up regularly in my recent searches with some of the best prices around. Not only was the top I bought cheaper than the big stores, it was delivered for free and came within a couple of days. Excellent communication and a dedication to customer service will mean I will be back for more gear soon.
