My Experience with Clearwater Property Group (trading as Ascension Rooming Houses – Vincent Holthouse)
I specifically asked the salesperson (Jack) about required starting capital. I said I had around $15k, and he told me that would be perfect.
I paid $7k for platform access. I only used the platform for less than a week and attended just one live session. Within the first few days, it became obvious that 40-50k+ in capital would actually be needed to proceed meaningfully. Had this been clearly disclosed upfront, I would not have signed up.
I requested a refund shortly after (within the first week). The company refused, citing their no-refund policy. Further follow-ups resulted in me being blocked on social media. I have escalated the matter to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Buyers: Thoroughly research actual capital requirements, compliance costs in Victoria, and risks before committing to rooming house programs.
