The most well known România traditional culture restaurant, with the good vibes, good food, great atmosphere, just in one word if you visit Bucharest I would recommend the place. If you can make reservations as is all the time full or if you lucky go in to book a table but you have to wait. Bit pricey but worth it.
Amazing Experience at Caru’ cu Bere!
We had an absolutely incredible time at Caru’ cu Bere! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The food was absolutely outstanding — in fact, the best pork I’ve ever tasted in my 40 years! It was perfect in every way: flavour, cooking, presentation — simply exceptional.
The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life. The live dancing was such fun, and we even joined in — what an unforgettable night! The energy and joy in the restaurant truly added to the whole experience.
A special shout-out to our server, Bianca N. She was incredibly attentive, warm and professional throughout. Five stars for her all the way!

We have visited Caru’cu bere restaurant in Bucharest, had table at outside terrace. The weather was pleasantly warm so decided to had lunch outside. The waiters were extremely polite and helpful. We have ordered some zacusca( a smoked aubergine dish to have it with local bread) the for our main we had soup de fasole in bread and some traditional Romanian meat in cooked in lard with corn mamaliga and house pickles. Well recommended to try.
It was a very nice restaurant, been there 4 years ago. Now nothing resemble the old one. Expensive, poor service, long waiting time, staff quite rude, and they put the tip in the bill, which is not legal in Romania.
The place is a tourist attraction itself. Beautiful building inside and outside. The food is great and prices are fair. They have live music and dancers. Do not miss it!
