Carcraft hides information - Car written off with Category S - not mentioned on Carcraft!!

Went onto the website and saw a car we potentially liked. Couldn't find any contact number, emailed them but nothing as wanted to find more info on the car and a testdrive.

Did some research online and found the car via motors.co.uk. We saw that it had a Category S and was written off by insurers.

This was not mentioned on Carcraft at all!

Completely put off from looking at Carcraft!

Be careful of Carcraft!

This company inflates the sale price of secondhand cars. Place enormous pressure on you to sign credit agreements. Make sure to read the Office of Trading Standards report on them for their bad practices. Never buckle under the sales person’s pressure to sign on the dotted line. Make sure you have someone who knows about cars to come with you to check the car you are interested in and will see if it is in good condition. Make sure you check every word in the credit agreement and double check they have not sneaked in extra costs. Do a quick price check on the car you are interested in. Now a days you can instantly check on various websites. I say this as it is very likely Carcraft will have inflated the sale price. This way you can feel confident you will not be sold an overpriced car which has hidden problems. This is what happened to me. I was naive and realised to late that the car was £4000 overpriced and it had problems with the air condition and it was sluggish going up hill. Never go alone even if you desperately need to buy a car. In fact stay clear of them. This company is known for it’s failures when it comes to customer satisfaction. Please be careful when you go to see a car sold at Carcraft.

Carcraft at Bury

Carcraft at Bury
Lee Taylor and Nikki were brilliant.
I first went in with a price in mind and they did everything they could to make sure I walked away with a deal I was happy with. It can be hard finding the right car for you and to suit your budget but I will definitely return if I ever look for a car in the future. Very happy customer

Don't believe their 5 star ratings

Don't believe their 5 star ratings, its their employees.

As for their service omg 😲 please stay away. You get robbed whilst getting a receipt. Awful awful people. I had an astra, when I took it for an mot a while later they told me the diagnostics were badly broken and the actual car was in dire need of TLC.

Obviously car craft refuted this, were rude when I queried the problems and refused to offer a refund.

Just a set of dishonest pieces O.S...

If you would like a bad deal, to pay over the price for an unsafe car. Feel free.

Car craft... your a set of mugs

Crafty Car False Promotions

Like most people I viewed the cars on the internet, chose a car and payed the reserve fee. It the asked about my part exchange so I answered all the question correctly on the Internet, it gave me a quote price of £820 with a minimum offer of £700. I was not impressed but the car I reserved was the one I wanted at a good price. I arrived at the Warrington show room on time followed all the social distancing rules, took the car out for a test drive. At the end when I said I would buy the car they offered me £250 part exchange. When I informed them and showed them the email, I was told that there must of been something wrong with the system. Clearly there was, they were being dishonest in their advertising. This at a time of restrictions on people movements is disgraceful.

Don't use

Don't use. Had a car. It broke down within 3 months. Warranty had run out. They said all I could do was exchange it. I changed it as I needed a car. They didn't settle the original car finance so ended up paying for 2 cars. Absolute disgrace. Stay away. Absolute con. No consideration for customers at all.

rip off

Brought car from their Chertsey showroom with a special deal only valid that day only to find the exact vehicle with same registration advertised on Autotrader £700 less the next day. When I complained they said can’t reverse the sale and only the area manager can help. He never returned calls or emails despite chasing for months. Rip off merchants would never buy from these criminals again.

Absolutely shockingly bad

So, currently on hold to the complaints team for five mins so far as I’ve been forced to telephone (after totally ignoring my email complaint from last week) and I am on hold for this period of time, even though I am apparently #1 in the queue? How does that work then!?

So my problems with this company began last week. Trying to trade my current car in and spotted what I was looking for on Carcrafts website. My partner tried to give the garage a call to discuss figures and so on and was on hold and not answered at all for over 1 hour. As a result, I told him to cut the call off and send them a message instead. So partner sends the email to the garage directly telling them he has been on hold for over an hour and wanted to discuss a car he was interested in on my behalf. No response. The following day came, still no callback or even reply to the email. Clearly not interested in a sale then!

Decided to move on and go for a car company that actual gives a damn about good customer service but sent Carcraft a written complaint detailing what had happened.

According to their website- they will respond within 72 hours. Guess what? Have they response? No. My written complaint like the call/email trying to buy a car were just ignored!!

Still on hold probably with no hope in hell of getting listened to anytime soon.

I will not, categorically not, ever consider buying a car from this company ever again because it seems that to them, customers can be ignored and sales not important!

Have it your way Carcraft! No sales from me ever!

Oh and I will be speaking to FO and FCA because frankly your conduct is absolutely disgusting. You should be ashamed of this “servie” you provide and ignoring customers complaints? Well we will see what FO and FCA have to say!

Thanks!

I brought a Nissan Juke from here…

I brought a Nissan Juke from here around 2 weeks ago. The sales guy was very nice he price matched the Juke with another Nissan Juke online which was a diffrent colour which I didnt think they would do so that knocked around £200 off my new car. The gave me a fairish price for my old car altho I found they was harsh because my car had a few dents which had been caused by people opening the doors on it they claim the price had been knocked down for that although we did manage to get the sales guy to give us an extra £100 for my car after some persuading. The only think that I didnt like was that when I picked the Juke up it hadnt been valeted I did mention this to the sales guy who said he would pass it on to management it was dirty its not very good considering how much you pay for the car and i brought mine free from finance. Another point is that the Juke had damage to the alloys and damage to the wing mirror which in my oppionion should have been fixed but we was told because it was minor it wasnt in their intrestes to fix them also because of the age its a 14 plate and wear and tear my car was a 12 and I got less because apparently they needed to fix the minor dents and alloy damage but would they as they didnt fix the minor damage to the Juke. I got alot more from these people than I thought I would I also found I got a much better deal going with my dad a male rarther than when I a female went alone a few weeks prior and spoke to somebody myself. It was only because of my dads pushing I got a little extra for my car. I would go again and buy but with my dad. If your a women I would take a guy with you and prefrably somebody who knows about cars.

Pushy sales people. Over priced cars. Be much better off saving. Avoid their payment plans at all costs. There are much better deals out there...

Avoid unless you want myther

My partner applied for a personal loan. Carcraft phoned and confirmed he had been accepted but they wanted proof of income. He provided payslips and they said it was fine but once they realised we own a Ltd company they wanted all bank statements from the business. This was refused so they found my name as a joint director and did credit searches on me too. I now have credit searches on my file that I had nothing to do with. Went elsewhere without all this myther and now have a lovely new car
