Went to look at a fifth wheel camper

Went to look at a fifth wheel camper. Had to sign in to look at them. We found three that could work for us. I am serious about buying a camper. We are just looking to upgrade from our old one. We found one we wanted to get the numbers on. The salesman was really nice and helpful. We thought we were off to a good start. The sales manager is where the problem starts. He gave us a set of numbers. I didn't like them. Then came a second set of numbers. Those were equally as bad for the used unit we were looking at. He was giving numbers off of a $77,000 price on a unit that is listed with a price of $61,000 or make offer on their site. I do not know if he thought we had not looked things up or not. Then they spent two hours trying to convince us that we were getting a steal at $77,000. I just felt the slimy used car salesman routine was being played out here. I would not buy there now even if they marked it down to $20,000. I hate being taken advantage of. If this is the way the whole company does business, we won't be doing business with any of their lots. We will find another camper we like at a place that doesn't try and screw me over.

Great service from Camping World

I ordered a tent package from Camping world online. I couldn't be happier with the service and communication I have received. They only had 3/4 of my order which came after about 5 days. I had an email to say that when they had received the other part, they would let me know and send on to me. This is exactly what happened. All packaged well . Great communication. Would definitely use again. Just need some better weather now

Purchased a 2025 model in October 2024

Purchased a 2025 model in October 2024, no chance of using until spring in North Western Pennsylvania. Sat all year of 2025, still looks brand new show room ready, stickers and nubs in the tires even. Tankless hot water unit failed and the warranty is only 1 year 🤬. The ignitors look brand new, unused never fired and Camper World wants me to pack up and take it into a dealer when they have field service local and I’m 10 minutes away….
They will replace it under warranty”assumed manufacturer warranty” so I pay upfront $500-$700 and hope the manufacturer covers the cost??? Thankfully Jayco bought Heartland out. Also the amount of work I had to do so it was ready to use is unbelievable. The wall paper is swelling lose of the walls right where the AC runs off the top outside walls? And trade in value is CRAP!!! Will definitely buy from a completely different franchise going forward and pay the difference. STAY AWY FROM CAMPER WORLD!!! Unless buying a cheap used camper.

I went to Fort Pierce location to see the camper that I saw online and liked. Filled out the credit application, I was asked to give $1,000.00 on my credit card, was asked to email 3 consecutive pay stubs and a copy of my FPL account. Photo taken with sign, My first camper, so I thought I got a new camper!!! Only to find out 48 hours later financing wanted 1 year of credit history for my car, after providing my 401k statement, my bank statement, enough $ to show that I can buy the camper cash. I asked what about my deposit, I was told it was refunded it and that I will see it in 2 days. It has been 14 days and nothing. I contacted my credit card company and they also don't see nothing.
Not sure why everything seems to be done backward, why just not putting the deposit pending instead of running it when I wasn't approved? Now my credit card is maxed out when I'm trying to improve my credit, now my score is 11 points down. My credit card payment is due soon, so first the first time ever I will have to pay interests if not paid in full, a freaking mess. Almost glad now that financing didn't go through!

"2-3 more weeks"

Ordered rv steps on website. it was backordered, which I new. Was told every time I contacted customer service "2-3 more weeks" After a few go arounds with this I had enough, and requested cancellation and refund. (yep, they charged me for something that was backordered for at least 2 months. This was after I had a terrible experience at a retail shop in Nashville, where I was told that I could not check out with anything because their person who could operate the POS terminal was stuck in traffic and no one else could. Camping World should just do everyone a favor and close up!

Once I signed the contract they forgot to add the price of a sway system. I signed the contract on good faith on price agreed upon. They were denigrating and accused me of wanting something for free. The contract is a negotiation once signed its final. They were extremely rude, threaten to take back the sway system. Very unprofessional. Buyer be ware.

We needed a new awning and there was a great deal from this company. Website said item was in stock and delivery would be 4-7 days. 4-7 passed and no awning. I chased and was told they had moved to a new warehouse and that they did not have the awning in stock and could not provide me with a date when they would be in stock. I waited another week and chased again, same response so I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Email received to say the refund was approved and this would be in my account within 14 working days. 14 working days passed and I chased, 18 working days passed and I chased and all they keep saying is the accounts team is a small team and will take longer to reply. No landline to call, you just have to email, whatsapp or going on the online chat but you get the same poor response. 25 working days later I have received my refund only after stating I was going to raise a dispute with my bank. Poor customer service, sending smiley faces in messages when you are annoyed at still waiting for a refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Do not buy from them

Well, I will start with Buyer Beware.

Moving my count to the top.

Keeping count. I have talked 3 people out of buying. Add 3 more, and we are up to 6. Add another 4, for a total of 10 to date. Ada 6 more, that's 16, add 5 more, that's 21. Add another 5, that's 26.
It's 27 now, but I talked someone out of a $300,000 purchase.
Add 2 more, and one of those was with the sales associate we had. New total is 29 add now its 34
I bet they don't read these, but they are the ones losing money now. They should have sent their own mobile tech out to stop this, but again, they don't read these.

3/24/26 update: Three of my larger clients, but this goes out to all their team members. This is getting bigger over something they could have stopped.

If you do not read this, at least go to these YouTube channels and watch.

Wingman Wisdom
Liz Amazing

These people will call and email you every other day to try to get you to buy, but when they have an issue, help from anyone will be almost nonexistent.
We were about 3 weeks after the purchase and 6 hours away. There was no warranty we didn't buy, and that's not relevant.
This was our first purchase, and it's a 5th wheel. I believed it then, when I was told it had been inspected and everything was good. (Don't believe this, hire your own inspector just like you would for a house.)
Well, we finally needed to fill our water tank, and it started leaking from the bottom, behind a slide.
Once I finally reached them, they said to bring it in, and they would LOOK AT IT. Since they claim to be so large and care about their customers, I ask them to hire a tech to check it. I was informed that they don't do that. Talk about trying to dodge any responsibility!
Do yourself a favor: if you do business with them, get your own inspection, or don't buy from them.
After 25 years of owning my own business, I have shared this advice with ANYONE I have had contact with. As you can imagine, that is a lot of people.
What I will do is have this repaired by a mobile tech, and if they do not pay the bill when I submit it, my attorney has said we will file suit.
In all my years, I have never, never treated a customer this poorly.
The finance company also wants to know the outcome and will help if they can, as they assumed that the unit was ready to go.
As a final note, they also claimed my propane tanks were full, but when I tried to use propane, one tank was empty, and I had to pay to have it refilled.
Again, they shove it out and shove it to you without the grease.
As for me, I will buy from a homeless person before I give any business to Camping World again.
They are not here to assure you that you are set and happy, but only to get rid of the RVs at all costs.
I also noticed they only respond to positive reviews and don't address any issues. A business is only as good as how it handles its issues.

PS Our salesperson was Janelle Brown, and after she sold you and all the emails to get you to buy, she will not contact you or help you with any problems after the fact.

Also, could you check all the lawsuits around the country that have been paid? You would think that they would have learned a bit, but it appears not.

UPDATE
I went to Camping World Corporate, and they made the local respond. The person who called from the local said that it may be a warrant issue now (BS), but if I have a mobile tech out and submit the bill, they may make it. So it's up to me to get it repaired. Pay for it first and submit the bill because they lied. The loan company has had more contact with this than the dealer.
First time I had a lender back me like this.
All they had to do was send someone out on their own to correct this, and I would have been fine.
Since it appears the unit was not inspected as they promised, we are going to get a full inspection per the lender, and they will help us resolve it. They do not want to make loans based on lies!
I hope the consumer reads this, as I know that Camping World will not respond to negative reviews, only to positive ones.

Purchase of our first class B van

Camping world in Draper Utah was our first RV stop. We were shopping for our first Class B camping van. . From the moment we walked into the store , we were welcomed by hellos and smiles. Jim Troutman was amazing, attentive , efficient and personable . From there we were dealing with 4 other companies . Jim answered phone calls and texts immediately and worked very hard to get our sale . We were doing a trade that was in California and He worked it out so We could drop it off at a Camping world in California instead of paying for a transport company . Even when he knew we were van hunting , he was pleasurable , unlike one of the other salesman in California. Needless to say after 2 weeksof searching , Camping world in Draper Utah was our last stop.
Tom the accountant was also amazing. He was very attentive , cordial , personable, very efficient , and He knew exactly his job.
We could not be happier with this company , and would deal with them again in the future .
We highly recommend this company .

Kevin Fouse the service provider

Kevin Fouse the service provider, took excellent care of the repairs I needed on my unit, I even came through at 4:30 in the afternoon for an unannounced pick up and he accommodated me and made it happen. I really appreciate these guys down here and I’m so happy to have such a resource in the aria!

Camping World To My Rescue

Used to hear some pretty bad things about Camping World. In December 2025 after not being able to get my RV repaired where I purchased it I asked Camping World Billings Montana if they would contact the manufacturer and get permission to work on it. They got that permission and I dropped it off. They got right to work troubleshooting the problem and ordered parts. The parts took awhile to be shipped but they received them and got the installation finished in a fairly quick time. I’ve read about some people having to wait months and months to get their RV repaired. Some were major repairs but seems the dealers manufactures are just hard to work with. Working with Camping World Billings Mt. was as easy as it gets and I do appreciate not having to fight with the dealer I purchased from. I hope Camping World Inc. has made the necessary steps to bring back their reputation and go out of their way to help at all locations. Just a super great experience. Thank you Camping world.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Our 2024 Timberwolf from Camping World has been a nightmare from day one. Due to incorrectly installed factory seals, the unit floods every time it rains. We now have significant mold growth and a failing electrical system that is a major fire hazard. Warranty company denies all claims for the camper and has said it is because of a hurricane, knowing the camper has only been in middle Tennessee the entire time.
Their own technician told us this unit never should have been sold in this condition, yet Camping World has refused to take any responsibility in fixing their poor workmanship issues. On top of the physical defects, our paperwork contains incorrect model information and fake email addresses. Extremely unprofessional and unsafe. Avoid this location.

Avoid this dealership

Avoid this dealership! One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I felt like just a number or $ sign and the people we dealt with at the dealership, Shawn and Haley P., seemed like robots. Just talk and no follow-through.

Recent update: Camping World replied to our review and asked us to reach out to them by email. We did and they have never responded.

We were in contact with them trying to work out a deal for a few days, as we were very interested in a certain RV. Shawn and Haley P. told us 3 times total over the phone and by text that we would be contacted if someone was interested in buying the RV. Not true!!

We texted one morning that we were driving down 6.5 hours to look at it. Haley said she was off but we were welcome to stop in. We called later in the day to confirm that we could see the RV and we were told it was sold. We were shocked! Why did Shawn and Haley say they wouldn’t sell it without contacting us first?

If they wouldn’t contact us like they said they would, then they should have told us to put down a deposit to hold the RV. Shawn mentioned about putting down a deposit on the phone and that it would even be refundable if we didn’t want to buy it in the end, but we decided to not put down a deposit because they said they would give us a call if someone wanted to buy it, sort of give us “first dibs.” If we had known they would sell it anyway like words don’t matter, then we would have put down a deposit. Lesson learned there on our end. Some salespeople don’t mean what they say.

Their excuse was that they weren’t there at the dealership the day it sold. Not good enough!

When you say you’re going to let a customer know if someone else is interested, then do it!

They also knew that we drove down from South Carolina, so when they weren’t working that day, they should have told the other sales people to contact us if someone was interested in buying it.

We were never offered an apology, and the manager, Shawn, never reached out to us either, after he personally told us over the phone that he wouldn’t sell it without contacting us first.

All about the money and no care for people.

Bought a new 2025 Cardinal

Bought a new 2025 Cardinal , took it in for some warranty work in November 2025
They still have the unit and it’s still not done
We had to cancel our plans for spring break
This past Monday I received an email stating that they need more parts for the bedroom door , they said if you want to use it just pick it up and bring it back when we have the parts
That’s a waste of my time and why would I use something that’s not 100%. To top it off they lost the work order and sat on this for 3 weeks back in December
Customer service is non existent after you leave the lot
And this is not a inexpensive unit
Buyer beware do not purchase a camper from these people

I went today to pickup an RV that I was going to purchase at the Las Vegas location. When I arrived to the scheduled appointment I was told something was broke on it and told me it would take a while to get it repaired. Nobody apologized for the issue. They were more interested in arguing and the finance manager was arrogant. Do not spend your money here. Terrible experience. Will never visit again
