Unreliable

I rang the Queens Road, Walthamstow branch at 10:00 and was told I could turn up that afternoon for a walk-in RSV vaccination. When I got there I was told they had "run out". Over an hour of my time was wasted.

Britannia Pharmacy Horns Road

Britannia Horns Road
No point in making appointments via NHS for Covid and Flu vaccines as appointment system do not exist at Britannia Pharmacy (Horns Road). I was 15 minutes early informed them I have an appointment, no action was taken I was told to take a seat. Walk-in individuals, for the Covid and flu jabs were getting tickets and were seen before me. When I raised the question about appointment system the customer service person became rude and was very loud telling me to go elsewhere if I am unhappy. I was seen 35 minutes later via the ticket number NOT on appointed time..
This is my first experience of making an appointment and being ignored. NHS should look at their Service Provider’s appointment system before offering it on the web page.

Awful customer service - couldn't care less

Had a flu jab booked for today. Arrived on time and was told there was a queue so I was meant to just sit there and wait. No apology - it appears they couldn't couldn't care less. Now I can't get through on the phone to try to re-book. Simply awful.

the staff here have no idea about data protection and professional boundries

a driver turned up at my late mother's address saying he "used to deliver to her and his son is looking for a house can he come in and have a look!!!" call the pharmacy in Chadwell Heath to complain and they tried to fob me off with "there is no delivery booked for that address so nothing to do with them" explained he had a britannia van and he drove off in it and they said he was just concerned about my mother and not to worry about it!!?? then they said he was probably delivering to a neighbour house and wanted to leave it with my mother!!! not sure i would like my medication left with my neighbors!!!! then they called the driver who said he was only asking as his son was looking for a house. the staff had no idea how unethical and unboundried this was. what if my mother hadn't died but was selling and he talked his way into her house??!!

Refused prescription

We had a prescription refused because the prescriber has not written the dosage in words. The number of tablets must be written in long form but the dosage can be in numerical form. The pharmacist would not listen or engage in conversation or call the Dr who had prescribed it. Nowhere in
the NICE guidelines does it state that the dosage needs to be written in long form. This caused us great anxiety. It was a private prescription because we can’t get the treatment on the NHS currently. I’m not sure if he took offence because it wasn’t NHS. I will be making a formal complaint

Very poor service particularly in…

Very poor service particularly in relation to prescriptions. The prescriptions refills are always late and at least 3 times they could not find the prescription. Texting service is unreliable and I think the products in general in the store are old stock.

Really bad service and not helpful

I called the Britannia pharmacy hornsroad. To repeat the prescription. I ran out of my medicine so I requested them to provide couple days medicine, they didn’t provide me and telling me to go to the surgery. They didn’t give helpful answers and they don’t care about patient. Staff and pharmacists is not happy at all. I think very bad customer service and not happy at all. They are not helpful to the customer. If any patient forgets to order repeat prescription pharmacy should give couple days of medicine.

This pharmacy has the worst customer…

This pharmacy has the worst customer service. I come here time to time as I shop in Asda. Yesterday I bought a Omron ear digital thermometer and it was faulty. I bought back yesterday and the staff couldn’t help with the exchange or refund even though it was clear that it’s not working. They told me to come back tomorrow to see the manager, I went today and told them what happened the manger sent his staff saying he is on break can I wait or come back in an hour. Really disappointing as the manger has no clue of customer service and sad that the pharmacy which I have been a customer for years appointed a manager like this. I left the product there as I was really angry and upset with the service. £22.99 I donated to the Britannia Pharmacy so they can invest on hiring a good manager who knows customer service and do food for the business not making the customers life harder.

Very unprofessional, no clue what’s the manager doing. Now a days anyone can become anything. Shame

Shameful and disgraceful

Shameful and disgraceful behaviour when I went for them to correct their prescribing error.

From their website - "Customer service is our priority and our aim is, "your satisfaction""

Just meaningless words and lies, cut and pasted by someone who thinks it sounds good and doesn't understand what you need to do to make it happen. Definitely not backed up by their actions and behaviour.

One after one they lined up to tell me that I was wrong and there was nothing they could do!!
I had to explain my condition and what had happened in public while they continued to try to belittle me

E.g. "If you leave a Post office and go back because your change is wrong...."
"You should have checked your medication here when you picked it up...."
"How do we know you haven't been taking the wrong medication?..."

If I had been an elderly or infirm person, taking a life dependent medication, then I shudder to think what the outcome of the belittling attitude of your chemist and the staff would have been.

They repeatedly tried to browbeat me as if they were more intelligent them me!! In the end after I explained to them in the simplest language like I was talking to a 5 year old (5-1=4, 3-1=2) they very grudgingly, as if they were doing me a favor, corrected their mistake!!
Don't go to this pharmacy if you expect decent customer service or a modicum of decency and intelligence when things go wrong, which is when a company's true culture is shown. It is easy to claim "we care about our customers, the customer is our number one priority,...." etc. etc.

Shameful and disgraceful.

On the whole a good Pharmacy chain

On the whole a good Pharmacy chain, isle of dogs Asda, westferry road.

the staff are polite and helpful, although this is not consistent with all staff. However the good staff are fantastic and will go completely out of their way to help you.
They have some good efficient modern systems in place and chemists that actually care.
Two main areas for improvement.
1. they need to insist that GPs and doctors communicate correctly with them as medication is constantly wrong or out of stock..the Doctors faults really, but the Pharmacies know there are issues and should push/prompt the doctors to rectify the mistakes before it is too late.
2.They can improve by not requesting client to shout out their personal details and medications across the pharmacys for everyone present to hear.

Most of the staff are really fantastic.
