Poor quality

I bought a watch for almost £4000 less than one month ago. I reasonably expect a watch at that price to keep good time. That's why I bought a watch! Mine ran fast from day one. The suggestion from Breitling was to return it to them for examination, with a 10 to 12 week turnaround! Their customer service even got my name wrong despite having it in writing!
I am appalled by their poor service and poor quality. I strongly advise people NOT to buy one of their products. I am now consulting with a lawyer regarding my rights under the sale of goods act to return the item for a full refund, which seems plausible.

POOR SERVICE- AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

When you send your watch for a battery replacement Breitling send you a quote for 550$.
You call customer service and they tell you that full service is required.
I paid the full amount and my watch was returned and I was unable to twist the crown, impossible to go through all the menues.
Since I didn't complain right away Breitling refused to repair my watch unless I pai 550$ again.
DO NOT BUY BREITLING - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - POOR WAYCH QUALITY, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

I got my Navitimer Fighter Special…

I got my Navitimer Fighter Special Edition watch back from Brietling service today after service.
It had a silver dial on it instead or the cream color dial that was on the watch.
I called Service in CT. They informed me that the watch only came with either a black or silver dial.
When I told her that I've worn the watch for the last 20 years and that I know the difference between silver and cream. She told me that it must be my imagination! ??? Ebay has the Fighters Special Edition watches for sale with the cream dial.
I waiting for a call back from a "manager" in the service department. I'm not holding my breath on the return call. I'm not letting this go or putting up with their BS.

Don’t buy Breitling…

I can see why Breitling doesn’t have Google reviews because the quality of their service is so poor. Simply look at Trustpilot!
I purchased a replacement Breitling watch strap 13 months ago. I opted to go through the company as one would expect the quality to live up to the name. Sadly not. The leather strap has not worn well at all, making it very unsightly to wear. When I questioned this the response was to quote…’ they are only designed to last between 12 - 18 months!! Really?
I have decided to stop at this point with my review as there’s little more to say but DONT BUY BREITLING!!

I’ll never buy another Breitling

I’ll never buy another Breitling!
£7k watch at 11 months old the crown stopped screwing in properly and progressively got worse, sent it off to Breitling only to be told that it’s not covered under warranty as it has had an impact which has bent the crown, this is absolute bs and just their way of getting more money instead of honouring a genuine warranty claim.

Bought a brand new $6,500.00 Breitling…

Bought a brand new $6,500.00 Breitling chrono that failed within 2 hours of first wearing it. Lousy highly rated eBay merchant JZL.enterprises refused to replace it. Breitling has had it for 6 weeks assessment period and will cover repairs under warranty. Saying it will take another 2.5 months!! Absolutely ridiculous

Appalling customer service and poor quality watch

£3500 paid, within 2 months the metal clasp had broken and it was running 3 minutes late.

On top of this bitter disappointment the post sale experience has been truly awful. I have to relentlessly follow up with the inept staff in London to get anywhere. I also received it back recently after 3 months of it being in the repair centre, and it is now running over 1 minute late after 1 month.

Truly truly disappointed.

Avoid at all costs - Terrible customer service

I recently bought a new Breitling and wanted to get the certificate of authenticity.

When I went to do this it said I cant online so as instructed I emailed the Breitling team.

They first of all accused me of downloading an NFT of which I have no idea what they are talking about.

Its been 3 weeks and condescending email after condescending email the rude and unhelpful Breitling staff offer no help. All I want is my watches certificate nothing else.

A shambles of a company and my guess on the way out soon, avoid at all costs!!!!

Super Chronomat is junk!

Bought a chronomat brand new from dealer, parts of the watch fell off. Sent it back as was a month old at beginning of July, now told them I want a replacement and I get a reply the earliest your original watch will return is end of October. Why does it take 4 months to look at this and make a decision? You certainly didn’t take the time at your quality control department when you made it. Also been advised as it is under warranty the likelihood of getting a replacement is slim.
They look nice in a show case, but if you want to wear them don’t bother! Just stare at them in a shop window and buy another brand!

Breitling Wtaches have the worst customer service I've ever experienced!

Received as a gift a brand new Breitling Superocean 46 black steel watch in March 2022 it was purchased at their Boutiquestore in Las Vegas Nevada.
From the very beginning the watch was running fast about 10 to 12 seconds a day.
After reading up on the literature the watch is certified to run a maximum of six seconds fast.
I called spoke with the service center about this issue and they told me the watch would have to be shipped to the service center for repair which would take 12 to 14 weeks, outrageous for a brand new $5,000 watch.
They also told me I would have to pay for the shipping and insurance to them, about $85, again outrageous!
I decided to drive the watch to one of their Boutique stores about 35 miles from my house so they can ship and insure it. When it's repaired I will have to drive 35 miles again to pick it up because they refused to ship it to my house directly.
Everyone from the people at the service center to sales people at their Boutique have not provided any kind of customer service.
From what I've experienced I don't think they know what the word customer service means.
No understanding or compassion for a person that had a expensive watch for four months that never ever worked correctly and had to send it away for 12 to 14 weeks.
Breitling will have the wacth longer than I have owned it, to get it fixed.
Now what I'm most worried about is the quality of the repair. When the watch is returned to me and it still doesn't run right what can I do, what options will be left for me.
Do not buy Breitling watches at this time they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

No longer giving breitling the time of day.

I’ve never owned a breitling,and was about to pull the trigger on a exospace b55 rrp £6000, but after listening to advice from a shop salesman about the poor qaulity and exuberant service charges, { beaverbrooks } and reading reveiws from trip advisor, l will no longer be giving Breitling the time of day ( excuse the pun ) and will be spending my 6k elsewhere.

Not even George Kerns cares about service of Breitling customers

I Bought a Breitling watch and within months (4) one morning the watch stopped working. (Something you don’t expect from a £5000 plus watch) As it was still under a warranty I sent back to Breitling to be repaired, they eventually sent it back but instead of it being repaired as I expected, they sent it back still broken saying it was not under warranty as the reason it wasn’t working was not covered. They said I damaged the watch and they gave me a quote of nearly £2500 which was absolutely ludicrous, not just the price but the idea that I had damaged it.

I then took the watch to another reputable watch repairer who said he could repair the watch, but then on further investigation we found out breitling wouldn’t release the parts needed to repair it.
To make it worse the reputable watch dealer said his estimate to repair the watch was under £500. His was shocked at the damage parts Breitling said it needed. He couldn’t believe the quote that breitling gave, it was eye watering expensive, he said that some parts they quoted for weren’t even needed.

So it transpired that Breitling were not only wriggling out of the watches warranty and the repairs, they were also making massive profits out of it.

Since I have written to the CEO of Breitling Mr George Kern 4 times and on either occasion he has yet to respond to any email. I did get a response from someone else I did write to several people at breitling and all they offered was some discount off their original estimate. Which they were still charging 4 times more that other reputable repairers. Obviously all they care about is money and not about their customers.

I am speaking to my Solicitor about further actions against Breitling. Absolutely shocking.

The only good thing is that since this I have already prevented many people from being a breitling watch. So please think twice before making a purchase.

Breitling reliability

I bought a Superocean Heritage 42 last month and straight from the off it was running around 12 seconds/day fast.
Reading the comments here doesn't fill me with confidence.
I thought, as the watch has a Tudor movement it would be reliable??
Anyway it's back in Switzerland now and will be away for 6 weeks.

Edit it didn't go any further than Leeds and I was told the watch is fine.
Actually it's still running fast so it will be headed off to the land of watches and chocolate

Never again Tag Heuer put brietling…

Never again Tag Heuer put brietling watches to shame.
I have a brietling colt watch which to be fair only cost me £3000.in the six years I have had it the battery leaked and caused a lot of damage cost me £450 to get it repaired and 10weeks without my watch 18 months on the crown has broken and now I'm getting quotes of £500 to repair this. Before I bought my brietling I had a cheap tag watch formula 1 had it for twenty years with no problems apart from batteries replacement. I will never buy another brietling watch and as for customer service I won't even go there they are Mickey mouse watches

A swatch works better!!

I brought my boyfriend a Limited Edition Aviator watch costing over £6000 and from the first month on his wrist it started losing time.
Emails were sent back and forward to Ernest Jones who sold me the watch.
They eventually tested it keeping the watch for 6 weeks!!
They gave it back and said that nothing is wrong with it.
So then it starts again losingh time daily, are we winding it??? YES...Daily. bloody thing!
This is by far the worst purchase of my life, and my boyfriend wearing a watch that doesn’t keep time, Ever.
Its a complete waste of money and i will never be spending money with Breitling again....

Breitling, 'Customer Service'???

I purchased my Breitling Superocean as a 50th birthday present to myself, having always wanted one, the Breitling brand of high end luxury watches seemed to me to be at the pinnacle along side Rolex and Omega.
Mine stopped working, I sent it to the service centre for assessment.
They said the watch had sustained a shock which caused a screw to shear. The repair cost was the cost of a full service at £483 + optional repairs amounting to £1500 approx, Bear in mind the watch had a full service 2yrs previous.
When I questioned this they sent a photo showing a small dent, approx 1mm square on a lug, presumably to show where a 'shock' had been sustained. I answered that this dent was present when I purchased the watch 2nd hand, I gained a small discount because of it.... I would be very surprised screw would have sheared due to this, and that in any case it should be considered a warranty issue.. This said, they maintained the repair cost stood.
So, I wrote to Gavin Murphy (physically, not email) to complain, by recorded delivery to the London address, after a week the letter was returned unopened, I found another London address for Breitling, via Companies House, and resent the letter, to which I've had no reply. I also made contact with Gavin Murphy through Linkedin, no reply.
I would have thought at the very least I would have have some kind of of response.
I've since had the watch returned to me, I'll be seeking a local watchmaker to provide a repair service.
Contrast this with Chistopher Ward (an English brand of luxury watch).
I purchased a 2nd hand Bronze version at auction for my brothers 50th birthday, it had papers but no box, I wrote to them asking where could I purchase a box for it? They simply said, we can provide one for you, where would you like it sent? within a week a beautiful wooden box was delivered that complemented the watch perfectly... proper customer service!
