I had extremely bad experience with the…

I had extremely bad experience with the product (lawn mower) and their Bosch service centre. They took my mower to fix the unstable handle and returned it without repair and they managed to lose the keys that serve to adjust the lower handle and the wheels - hence a mower without use. I called requesting the parts missing (they lost them!) and they said they will send me the parts within 3-5 days. Calling yesterday (5th day) as I haven't received any confirmation email of delivery date and found out that the employee didn't recall ordering any parts!

Inferior product

Given 1star but if I could give zero I would, they have changed the way the cheap inferior cable attaches to the main start up control mechanism prior models simply clicked in on replacement of a new cable.Newer models are wired directly into the main switch so when the orange cable gets to be a couple of years old it becomes brittle and hard causing the cable to knot up and eventually damages the internal live/neutral cables so not a easy fix .
For a few pounds more there are cables that never go brittle or knot up but Bosch choose not to fit them .Inferior product heavy relying on a past reputation for quality, disappointing would not buy again

I bought a Bosch lawnmower in November…

I bought a Bosch lawnmower in November 23, it started cutting out after about 30 minutes use after I had owned it for 18 months but I thought I had an extended guarantee (it was regestered, but late). In Dec I was in touch with Bosch they accepted to repair it but could not find a fault. They returned the lawnmower, the carriage company left it outside in the back garden even though we were in during the delivery period. So now I am in posession of a soaking wet faulty lawnmower after just under 2 years of usage. I would certain recommend that anything Bosch is not worthy of any consideration.

43li mower

Have a Bosch 43li mower. Batteries have poor charge life. I had the same model previously. The batteries lasted twice as long. I’m forever putting them on charge to cut the same lawn.

Rotak 750 240 Does not cut the grass as low as previous model. Why?

Purchased a Bosch lawnmower Rotak 750 249 volt. The main issue is that it does not cut our grass as short as the previous Rotak 43 which we had for over twelve years.
I do not think this model is fit for purpose and under the 90 rule I want to return it. it maybe 14 day return etc but this is a shocking model.I don't advise to buy this. Very dissapointed Bosch.👎
Also this model is supposed to be for a large garden but they only give us a tiny 10m lead.

Bought a 18v battery lawnmower for £220…

Bought a 18v battery lawnmower for £220 from B&Q. Used once and took it back for a refund. It feels more like a kids toy than a proper lawnmower. The grass basket fell off with an inch of clippings in it, the handle to the grass box then fell off when picking it up, constantly .Then the grass cutting….. 30mm is the lowest cut height, trust me, that’s not low enough, it took the tops of the weeds off but that’s about it. AVOID!!!!

AVOID Bosch Repair Service & courier FedEx

February 2025 New hedge trimmer Battery 4ALL.
May 2025. First time used [as no need]. Started normally and then started to severely vibrate and make an uncontrolled noise.
June 2025. Bosch was immediately replaced 5*
July 2025. On first Use, the same fault appeared. 5* Bosch replaced "Set of Knives" [blades]
July 2025. On first use. Same fault. Returned to Bosch.
July 2025. Bosch notified me they were returning the machine unrepaired as "no Fault" The fault was identical to the previous ones.
I have notified Bosch in writing & one the phone there is no point in accepting a return as I can not use it and am now using my 2015 Bosch 4ALL hedge trimmer.
The hedge trimmer has now been stationary in a FedEx warehouse for days.
FedEx are appalling as I frequently get messages [as do Bosch] of a delivery, but nobody appears, wasted days staying in with no local collection point without a 15-mile journey.
I have may Bosch tools, but their days it appears, are over and overtaken by two German supermarkets that sell their own brand AND offer a 3-year guarantee...with no hassle

For decades we have been Bosch fans

For decades we have been Bosch fans

For decades we have been Bosch fans, from our 30-year-old German-manufactured washing machine to kettles, fridges and much more, including two long-lasting lawnmowers, the of last which has only recently needed replacement. By passing-off this shoddy, weak and feeble Chinese-made machine as a product of the once-proud Bosch company, Bosch seems to have sold its reputation, its proud history and soul, for the sake of a few Yens from its loyal punters for as long as it can blind them with expensive publicity. Companies cannot live on names forever. It is a great shame.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Before taking out your credit card, here are several points - in unpacking, assembling and mowing order - which may make worthwhile reading.
1) The assembly instructions are offered only as largely unintelligible / contradictory hieroglyphics that learned professors of ancient Egyptian linguistics would struggle to decipher. It took two of us (not rocket scientists but not entirely dummies) over two hours, with much re-assembling needed, to get its ill-designed rather-shaky structure up on its two front wheels.

2) The two featherlight rear wheels are, very easily attached with a satisfying click. Progress at last, you think. Alas, they fall off even more easily when you attempt to push the mower, silently, without a click of regret.

3) The nadir of its quality and design is its collection box - on earlier Bosch mowers, a sturdy one-piece container easily fitted. easily emptied but substituted here with a two-part contraption of flimsy, bendy plastic, impossible to join (without the use of superglue) falling apart when being emptied, almost doubling mowing time

4) The inspired designer also had the money-grubbing wheeze of providing a cable several metres shorter than previous machines, necessitating an extra extension, but likely saving Bosch another few Yens.

Battery packed up within one year

I bought a Bosch’s mower cordless and it has never worked properly since new . The battery packed up within 12 months of purchase, so not happy. I had bought it on line from Homebase so had to go through “ customer services” well not quite sure who they are kidding as very poor service. Having sent the battery back never heard another word until I had a text from DX advising parcel on its way from Bosch. Still waiting for delivery and Bosch don’t want to know. Stay away from them buy a different make. I will be getting rid of mine so sick of it .

Bosche City Mower - never worked properly

I bought the mower new in 2022. Right from purchase it wouldn’t start intermittently and by that I actually mean I had to abandon a half cut lawn many times like I have just now. Sent it back to Bosche twice and they simply sent it back to me in the same condition. No comments no background to the work they had undertaken.
Co-incidentally I have a Bosche pistol drill that started doing the same thing just out of warranty and a Bosche chipper I had failed a year out of warranty.
Robert Bosche did not build a business with a first rate reputation out of selling defective equipment.

Bosch Universal Rotak Lawnmower height…

Bosch Universal Rotak Lawnmower height adjustment broken.
Badly designed product backed up by poor/indifferent after sales service
Does not deserve Which Best Buy rating
Fragile nylon/plastic part
Impossible to get spare parts at them moment
Contacted Bosch last week. That email has vanished
Received email saying it was passed to relevant department but nothing has happened
Best advice is buy one in Lidl next time there is an offer.
It will cut the grass. The customer service will be better and if you do have to junk it you will not feel bad about spending almost £ 300 on it

Never again !

I bought a new bosch lawnmower and cannot get the warranty for it, tried phoning but they said they don't do it over the phone, tried online but won't recognise any numbers either model or serial. No one wants to help, iv tried every avenue I can, when I do get to speak to someone they say iv got the wrong phone number even though I got it from them, what a shambles!! The roller underneath only leaves lines on the lawn for one day after that lines disappear, the cut is not as good as previous bosch mowers, I dont think bosch looks at the reviews because if that did they should be concerned not only about customer service but about the quality of their products.

Bosch indigo robot lawn mower👎

Bosch indigo robot lawn mower. When working it does an admirable job of keeping a tidy lawn and my complaints are not about the robot perse. The setting up took days because of poor instructions and fussy software which thought that the perimeter wire was not connected when measurements with an Ohmmeter told otherwise. Umpteen calls to the appalling helpline (it's not us it's the other lot you need to talk to). I finally got it to work and it went a full season without too much trouble but often it fails to charge until you wish to cut the lawn. It then refuses and goes into charge mode.

The problem this year is after the winter I tried to login to the app. It no longer recognised me so I had to try and start again whereupon it told me my account already existed. Emailed the Un-helpline and got the usual lack of help. Finally registered again with a new email but now there is a security issue. App tells me there is a technical fault and that is that. So now I can only use the robot manually.

Bosch really has lost the plot in recent years cheap cheap cheap is the only aim. Anything software wise from their website to their apps is complete disaster and as for customer service...........

Bought the Bosch UniversalGardenTidy 3000.
Brand new and this hip of sh.. die on me while collecting a few leaves. Very unhappy customer I can tell you. I am very disappointed with Bosch and will stay away from the brand. Nowadays you have to buy chinese tools to get some reliability. You cannot trust German brands anymore.

Purchase Bosch lawnmower broken down it has been 6 weeks over 14 phone calls sent complaint via email but it has fallen to deaf ears.

This company has zero customer service.

Their customer service agent are rude and provide false information.

They don't honour their warranty.

Do not buy from this company.

Save your money.

They are not fixing my machine although they have said its being repaired under warranty.

I have lost my money and I have lost my machine.

This is a Rogue company which tells you they will replace or repair your appliances but they keep your broken appliances and they don't send you any new appliances or repair your own.

You lose money and your item.

Rogue firm keep away from this company.

Quality has been taken off the agenda

Quality has been taken off the agenda. I used to have a Rotak for many years (7 years at least) and aside from sharpening the blade, it was a great mower. So I bought another Rotak electric mower.
This is such a flimsy lightweight product, McDonalds could give these away with meals, or Kinder have better quality plastic in their toys.
Only 3 cutting heights which is very hard to adjust for anyone of a certain age (springs are way too tight). The grass box doesn't sit neat against the mower so much of the grass drops away from the box when trying to empty it. It is a shadow of the former models. Even the power lead is shorter. I would recommend anyone considering buying to look at the other models that are probably cheaper but better quality.
2 stars... 1 for the fact that it works (so far) and the other for the fact that it weighs next to nothing.

Unethical, inhumane, incompetent, and possibly even deliberately vexatious.

This review is about the service and repair centre that deal with Intego lawn mowers.

I emailed the repair center with a detailed account of the problem, and all the steps I had taken to eliminate the possibility of simple issues, such as replacing the battery with one from an identical mower that was working, trying the mower in the docking station of a mower that was working. I received a reply with instructions on how to change the battery. I don't know if this reply came from an AI bot, or just from someone who just hadn't read my email.

After another email and a phone call I had arranged for the mower to be send back to them for repair. They said that I would receive a courier label by email, and that the mower would be picked up the following Monday. No label came. I emailed them to tell them, saying this and, as I now presumed Monday was out of the question for collection, I also told them the days that I would be at home for a collection. They replied saying that they had not read my email in time to arrange the courier for Monday, and would Tuesday be okay (I had already told them it would). I replied again. By this time they had missed the Tuesday collection as well, and I still hadn't received a label. Eventually I telephoned them and spoke to a helpful lady who arranged the collection there and then, I received the label, and it was collected.

Bosch's website say that they will review machines sent to them for repair within 5 days. After 2 weeks I emailed them and was told that they were very busy and would get to it as soon as they could. I have ME/CFS, a disability that leaves me permanently weak, exhausted, and feeling ill. If I do use more energy than my body gives me, I get sicker. Since being without the mower I have had to mow my lawn either with a push mower or a strimmer. Every time I do this I get sick. I can tolerate doing it once or twice, but the effect is cumulative, and being without a mower was starting to affect me quite badly. I told them all of this on my second email, 4 weeks after collection.

They didn't reply to my email, but they did without any explanation, send me a quote asking for approval. As there was no accompanying explanation I had to check with them that it was genuine before opening the attachment. The quote was itemised and and listed a circuit board, labour, two new wheels and wheel covers. The mower had wheels on it, albeit customised off-road wheels. I telephoned them to ask about this, saying I suspected the wheels on the quote were to do with the customised wheels, and saying that I don't need replacement wheels as I already have the original set in the cupboard. (This was the same nice lady I think that organised the courier). She asked me to send an email so that she could pass it to the technical department for a reply. So I did this, also telling them about the customised wheels. The reply said simply, and I quote: "If the wheels have been quoted for it is because they are required. The Max Price would not be affected by removing these either." To be clear, the quote to which I had referred wasn't a "maximum price" quote, it was an itemised quote and the wheels and covers were £50.

I telephoned again and spoke to, I think, the very same nice lady who said that she would see what she could do. I also emailed asking, again, why the new wheels were required (as they hadn't yet answered this question). This time they said, and again I quote: "The wheels on the Indego are non-standard, so we need to change these to the correct versions." Again no sensible explanation as to why was given. To be clear, my two previous emails had stated that I was aware that the wheels on the mower were non-standard, and that they were quoting for standard wheels.

I have now asked them to consider the issue a formal complaint. I have asked them a fairly simple question three times (twice by email and once on the phone). They have given me, at best evasive, and at worst deliberately unhelpful and sarcastic replies.

As they have my lawnmower and I can't physically cope without it, and trying to cope is making me sick and exacerbating a disability, I have said that if they can't resolve within 2 days I will have to agree to pay their invoice in order to get my mower back and repaired. But it will be under duress with the intention of claiming the money back through the small claims court.

I don't think I can find the words to describe how vicious this kind of behaviour is, and how devastating in terms of it's effect. I feel very sad for the one helpful and kind woman to whom I speak to on the telephone. I don't know why human beings behave like this towards other human beings, and why employers and managers apparently sanction it.

Whatever the reason, it is a poor reflection on Bosch.

Purchased a Bosch Advanced Rotak 750 lawn mower in July 2021, which broke down 2yrs 11 months later. As I didn't register it online, bosch.servicecentre are refusing to fix it. I have provided proof of purchase, my address has not changed and I consider this product is not fit for purpose and has not lasted a reasonable period of time. Beware of the small print!
