Listening to The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton, read by Caroline Lee. I don’t know why she’s trying to do an accent. It’s all over the place, Scottish, Irish, Northumberland when it should be cockney or received English. I have another 11 hours to listen to her garbled reading and I don’t know whether I can do it. Had a similar problem when she was trying to do a Cornish accent in another book but this is becoming unbearable!!

Bolinda are wonderful audio books. I really enjoy listening to them. I have completely replaced Spotify with audiobooks.
I was most delighted with the books "The Apprentice Witch," by James Nicol. He paints a beautiful world, so comfy, I wanted to curl up with a cup hot chocolate.
And lastly, Elizabeth Knowelden is a fantastic voice actress. She is an incredible talent! All the diffent voices, singing and just enough suspense, she was the chery on top.

Firstly, I'm writing this in response to an exception: Bolinda audiobooks are usually excellent.
However:
Queen of the Sea' is the third book in the series 'Blood and Gold' by Kim Wilkins
I've listened to them all via Tameside's library website/Bolinda audiobooks.
The readers are usually excellent but this one - such a HUGE disappointment, especially after listening to the first two books in this fabulous series.
Sarah-Jane McGerty reads with the pronunciation, flow and syntax of an eight year old.
It's so difficult and frustrating to listen to that I can't engage with the story at all.
Thank goodness I tried listening via the local library, and havent wasted any of my money in buying it!
I can't bear it and will read, instead, in hard copy, regardless of having to wait, when I'm dying to hear the next installment
PLEASE, Bolinda, don't use this reader again.
