SEND RENEWAL REMINDERS !!!!
Found the apartment on the portal. Faaantastic! Only wanted their subscription for 2 months and paid for that. They auto renew the subscriptions and DON'T send renewal reminders. Got charged for another 2 months! They don't entertain refunds, because policy. Shifty behaviour to first make auto renewals compulsory, then not even send reminders before due date (something every subscription based service does!!).
On top of that, their customer service guy tell me I can use the service for remainder of the subscription period. To do what, oggle at houses for fun? I already found an apartment, mate!
EDIT: 17-Jan-2025: Expected nothing less in response. "When you create your subscription, we send you an e-mail informing you of the date and time of the first renewal, which is exactly meant as a kind reminder" This is NOT a reminder. This is a confirmation/acknowledgement of my subscription. A reminder, I'll have you know, is a mail sent again just before the renewal actually happens. Anyway...

Since you decided not to share your name in this review, I am unable to look up the details regarding your search, so I just requested that you give your name or preferably the e-mail used for your profile "behind the scenes" of Trustpilot in order to be more specific in my reply.
When you create your subscription, we send you an e-mail informing you of the date and time of the first renewal, which is exactly meant as a kind reminder while we know, you are still active in your search for housind and therefore probably more alert to new e-mails from us than later on.
We pride ourselves of keeping a fair service towards all customers, including clear communication from the start and equal access to the platform. At the same time, we do expect our customers to take responsibility for your own use of the service and for cancelling the subscription, when you no longer need it. The date and time of next renewal is always available on your profile, under "Subscription", where you can also cancel at any time without restrictions, so the access automatically expires at the end of the paid period. However, we do not offer cancellations retroactively.

BE EXTRA CAREFULL with their service
Just like many others here mention if you forgot to cancel the subscription on time you will be charged. I was charged 499 even though I sent them an email the moment I received the notification from my bank. I have a subscription to many other companies and that is a common mistake that usually the good ones they are willing to refund you. Apparently boligportal does not give a damn about that as they will hide behind their fancy policy - so basically they took money for services that you never wanted to use neither you will. So BE EXTRA CAREFULL with their service!

We make sure to inform clearly and repeatedly regarding the subscription terms throughout the sign up process, in the confirmation sent by mail right after registration and on your profile on the subscription administration page.
We find it most fair for all, that our users individually are responsible for cancelling your subscription on time, and that we refer to the same deadlines for renewal/cancellation stated on your profile in cases of delayed cancellation rather than bending this deadline and our general guidelines for individual customers. This way we make sure, everyone gets equal access and same service.

Very bad service
Very bad service. I have paid to be able to rent a flat. The administration where I want to rent is making me the nice joke of telling me to ‘call me’ when I call them and they put me on the answering machine. I have complained to Boligportal about this and they have not given me an answer. A disgrace sincerely.

As far as I can see from your conversation with the landlord, this incidence is all based on a misunderstanding. They reply you that they do not have an answering service and offered to call you directly. Did you get in touch with them by now?
I can also see that several other landlords have replied to you offering further dialogue by phone or invitation to see the rentables.

Easy and useful!
I used it to subrent my apartment and it was very easy to use! It helped me create an ad for it as well as a lease contract. You can also use it for the move-in inspection, which I plan to do.
It is very safe for the tenants since they called me before accepting my ad to see if I was real or a scam.

Great platform but expensive
It is a wonderful platform to find an apartment on, but it costs a fortune to contact the landlords with NO guarantee that they will bother contacting you back. There are no contact details for majority of the listings other than the message service on the website/app and I have 9/10 times not received any answer whatsoever.

I can't find your profile based on your first name alone, but you are more than welcome to contact us directly if you would like some feedback on your search criteria and written applications for future reference and get better value for your money.
In general, it is important to make sure your criteria match the ads, you contact, to help the landlords also see a potential match. And make sure to write a short personal introduction in your messages, including input on why the specific rentable would fit your housing needs. Personal applications get better reply rates than standard messages. These are just general advice, since I haven't read your applications, but do reach out to us at info@boligportal.dk, if you would like more individual feedback.

The service is actually really great, but.....
The service is actually really great. They were really helpful for us to find an apartment and we got two great apartments through their website. The last time I signed up for a 24 hour limited access subscription for 24kr, after the 24 hour period it automatically switched to a monthly charge of 339 kr. Apparently, I missed the fine print, and was shocked to receive the charge. I asked for a refund, but was denied that. As a business owner who offers subscriptions, I actually find this very unethical. I would never do this to my clients. Ever.
