The service was nothing short of excellent, we were quite frustrated with a previous boiler fitting via another company. However, Boiler Repairs R Us swooped in and saved the day! Thank you again :)

My electric boiler was repaired

My electric boiler was installed incorrectly by another installer (wire is not clipped correctly), leading to a burnt wire and almost a fire.
I contacted Boiler Repairs R Us and their engineer came in, quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it for us promptly. Definitely recommend.

Thorough, meticulous job done to the highest standard - no corners cut

We needed a leaking hot water cylinder replacing. This turned out to be a big job because the system was full of scale and needed two power flushes before it could be drained to replace the cylinder. Stephen was very systematic and thorough and went the extra mile to get the job finished to a high standard, coming back the next day to do final checks. At each step of the process he explained the costs. The whole system works much better now. I have read some of the negative reviews about this being a scam but really felt the company were genuine and trying to do the job to the highest standard

Please read all 1 star reviews & avoid…

Please read all 1 star reviews & avoid using this company.
We mistakenly called out this company, when we had water leaking from our water cylinder (unfortunately they have a similar name to a local reputable company) the initial call out was on time, the job wasn’t able to completed so Steven advised he would come back the following day with parts…he provided a written breakdown of what was needing doing, cost for parts / labour - job estimated to take 2 hours.
£374 deposit was paid by bank transfer.

The following day Steven finally arrived just gone midday, he advised the water needed to be completely drained, this process took nearly 3 hours, where he spent most of that time sitting the van, once it was finally done he fitted the parts, which after being reviewed by a professional engineer- he had changed the wrong part!
What followed was a nightmare, we ended up with water coming through the kitchen ceiling, the boiler not working. With time ticking on, Steven seemed more concerned with what the bill was racking up too, than spending time trying to resolve all the issues, after seeking advice from our usual engineer (who unfortunately hadn’t been available) he advised us to tell Steven to leave the job, and what he had done was totally unnecessary- at £85 per half hour labour!!
At this point Steven seemed very put out & annoyed, we asked him to leave before another half hour racked up. At this point he told us a further £1190 was now due and he waited for the payment standing next to the water pouring out the ceiling. We’ve been advised we were completely ripped off with pricing, and the wrong job was done.
We’ve since had the problem resolved in less that two hours.
To walk out of a job, leaving a boiler not working and water pouring from the ceiling, displays a complete lack of morals and work ethic, (admittedly we asked him to leave before more money was wasted)
Money is all that’s on this company’s mind - avoid, avoid, avoid.

I was really impressed by how professional and calm the engineer was. He talked me through the problem without any jargon and gave honest advice on the best fix. The repair was done efficiently and the boiler has been running perfectly since.

VAT SCAM, Charging 20% VAT when not registred. Check your Bill.

Steven appears to be a competent heating engineer. However, parts were hugely inflated. The work was completed to my current satisfaction.

The more serious issue was VAT — I was charged VAT despite them not being VAT registered, this is ILLEGAL. Yes, this was refunded once raised, but it does raise the question of how many other customers may have paid an extra 20% without realising.

A Fake VAT Registration number appears on the website and his job sheets. Check HRMC Website.

From the first phone call I felt reassured I was in good hands. The engineer arrived exactly when promised, explained the issue clearly and got everything working again the same day. Heating back on and no mess left behind. Couldn’t ask for more.

Best avoid this company

Best avoid this company, they're cowboys. Their man turned up to diagnose faults with my boiler in my office. He deliberately went over the per half the half hour charge and then added congestion zone on top despite him having multiple jobs that day - £170 all in for 40 minutes. When I tried to pay, I explained I thought I had left my card at home and wished to pay using my phone. He immediately got aggressive and demanded the physical card or cash. Said he wouldn't leave the building otherwise. Fortunately I found the card. Told him I had been going to agree to the £1230 repair but given his attitude I had changed my mind. He sarcastically said 'oh yeah mate, of course you were' and slammed the door on the way out. Nice fella!

DO NOT USE BOILER REPAIRS R US read…

DO NOT USE BOILER REPAIRS R US read every 1 star review here, they all follow the same description and scam customers for unnecessary work with hidden and unreasonable labour fees and parts. This is there tactic. Our engineer arrives and we know charges 150 + VAT to diagnose the problem with our boiler. His estimate is parts and labour will cost £1000 to pay today. He will return the next day with the parts to fix the boiler and will take approx 2 hours. Desperate for hot water we agreed but knew this was over the top. When he arrived the next day he spent the first 3 hours draining water whilst sat in his van. When challenged why, internet searches say you don’t need to drain the central heating to repair a boiler and why are all the valves not opened to speed up the water leaving we were upsold a power flush for £1000 to push the sludge to speed up the process. It may require 2 power flushes if there is a lot of sludge. We declined this and were told it could take another 3 hours to finish draining BEFORE he can start repairing the boiler. Frustrated we told him to leave and were left with a bill for another £1000 for 4 hours labour + 1 hour in advance to collect the parts. We have since had another plumber replace the pump in under 1 hour, the other part we paid £400 for was not needed, he didn’t drain the central heating and he did the job for free because he was so sorry for us losing £2000 to a scam. They only accept debit payment, not credit cards, another red flag to make it difficult to claim the costs back. Use a recommended plumber from a friend and stay away from boiler repairs r us.

Charged £1k more than estimate!

(1) I booked on their online system to attend the next day. When they didn’t arrive, I called. They said they don’t receive bookings from their online booking system.
(2) Booked again. They arrived and their quote seemed high at £1450 to fix an electric boiler. I agreed as I was going away the next day and my tenant needed the repair.
(3) They then fixed the system but charged £2500.
(4) I’ve tried contacting them including email for an explanation and they have not bothered replying.
I won’t be using them ever again.

Avoid This Company - Total Rip off

We highly recommend staying away from this company. They're money-grabbing and lack transparency, as we found out the hard way.
At first, they seem professional and claim to be transparent, but hidden costs quickly add up. Here’s what happened:
• Unexpected Charges: They charged us their £150/hour weekend rate (plus VAT) for diagnostics, even though the work was carried out on a Monday. They justified this by saying diagnostics were done on a Sunday, but this wasn’t disclosed beforehand.
• Exorbitant Fees for Part Collection: After we agreed to go ahead with the job, they added a surprise £150 (plus VAT) charge for picking up parts — something that wasn’t mentioned until after we’d already committed.
• Marked-Up Parts: We later discovered they charged us more than double the price of the parts they installed.
• Additional Unexplained Charges: On top of all that, they added congestion charges to the final invoice, which had never been mentioned.
• Unnecessary Labour Costs: The engineer took 3 hours to drain our system whilst he sat in his van while charging us £150/hour (plus VAT) for the entire time.

In a desperate situation with no heating or hot water, we felt stuck, but don't make the same mistake. Shop around and read reviews carefully before committing to this company. They are far from transparent and will take advantage of you.
