At the end of August 2025 I had a pleasure if publishing my book The Master Watching Over: The Strange Comfort of Strongmen with BoD. From manuscript submission till the final result, it took very short time, but with a good quality of proofreading and editing. I would also like to mention Mads from Copenhagen office and Tuna from Customer Service as very friendly and professional BoD employees who made the whole process very smooth and efficient. I totally recommend BoD for people who want a high quality support, but still want to have the control over publishing process. Thank you guys!!!

Working with BoD to get the short story collections published has been such a pleasure.

The reason we initially got interested in BoD was that this is a European based company. This means that customs and VAT will be handled right when shipping.

However, it was the quality of the end product and the ability to reach a broad international market that sealed the deal. There are lots of guidelines to ensure that the end results looks professional. In addition, the ability to track the profit earned, adds to the level of trust in this company.

So far, I have published 6 books at BoD - Books on Demand, and I am more than satisfy with the printed books, as well as help from customer service. I can highly recommend this company to publish books yourself.

I am very, very content with the quality of my printed book and the ebook. And also with the quality of the support I received via phone. Also the delivery of books and the payments work fine. Except when it doesn't and they don't register my payment and send me a reminder to pay for something I already payed for. ;-)
What I have been less happy about was the email communication which is really slow. But then, it's possible to call BOD instead.
I purchased the Comfort package, which according to the website means that a consultant is being assigned to your project. I expected more personal, proactive support from the consultant's side. However, while I was given the consultants name, there was no direct way to connect with him - not via phone, not via email. In fact, when I finally got through to him, it took a while before he even realized that my project was assigned to him, or what book I was working on.
In short, don't buy the Comfort package with an expectation of better support. The one thing is provides is that you get a chance to review the print before finish line, and that I find very important, so no regrets.
One other thing that is super important to realize, and that was not very clear to me from the start: Once you submitted and finalized your information you cannot change it. It turned out that I misunderstood how the pricing works, but for me to change it I would have to submit a new revision of the book and that means paying for a new package.
It took several weeks and two phone calls before my ebook showed up in BOD's shop, which I find strange - it should be happening automatically. But it did show up in all the other, more important catalogs on time, so that was acceptable.
Last and not least: Although they do submit your book to Amazon, they don't use the Amazon catalog system - and there's nothing you can do about it. This is a crucial problem, and because Amazon is my primary channel, I have decided to discontinue my books on BOD and use Amazon KDP (and similar services) directly

Easy, convient and very helpful assistence

1 My first book this year Sammy took a long time to be ready, I never saw a bill for it but some time afterwards i got a donning letter, which of course I paid.
2 My second book Dragesøens hemmelighed has not been ready for publishing.
3 Both books were ordered, but I have never seen them

Very cheap and very fast delivery. Great software that anybody can use. I will order more books again soon!

Great service with perfect support! I had a very smooth introduction to the BoD platform because of a very well produced webpage - my book turned out perfect – all in all, it only took three days from my upload to receiving the books. Great service all the way through and efficient low-cost tool

The print quality so poor that we requested to get the book redrawn from the BoD publication.
We don't know if this is done or it can be done.

If you want a book, you have to check this bookstore for the most current price.
If it's cheaper on the website, it's cheaper in this store.
And if something is on sale on the website, it's on sale in this store, too. Neat!

I can not recommed BOD for photobooks. A manual over how to build the inside pages and calculate how pictures has to be moved -5 and +5 mm on spreads is not commen logic.
The print left something tobe desired too.

it is a very good tool and very easy to use and at a good price. I got the books delivered in Denmark within 1 week. Only issue is that it can be a little hard to handle color pictures. And positively surprised that they grant credit so you only pay after delivery.
