Absolute rubbish site clearly run by little wet snowflakes who are afraid of their own shadow and hurty words. Heavily moderated like a communist Stalin dictatorship and zero free speech unless you are further left the president Mao.

Someone posted a post saying are they welcome in my country as they see issues with people protesting immigrants.

I said yes more than welcome by 99% of the population as long as they followed the rules and abided by our values and laws.

I went on to explain protests were about certain people entering illegally from certain religions as they didn't follow our values and there were numerous cases of child rape etc h nice the protests.

Reddit said this was inciting violence (yes stating facts is violence apparently). They said it was singling out a specific religion and I was being warned and my comments removed and would be banned if I did it again.

I appealed saying no one should be censored for stating facts and the truth plus how can it be singling out a particular religion when I did not mention which one it was.

Reddits decision was their decision still stands, utterly nonsensical.

Talk about restricting any speah unless it fits their narrow minded one sided view which goes against facts.

Absolute idiots.

I've been using Reddit for several years (mostly for topics related to tech) however one day they've banned my account without any apparent reason. Actually the symptoms were interesting since I was still able to login and see my comments but they were invisible to anyone else. All my historic comments were wiped out as well as they've never happened.

Needless to say I've tried to restore the account - or at least to have an explanation - but they never cared to respond.

Reddit has become one of the most toxic platforms I have encountered in years of using online communities.

The core issue is not disagreement or debate. Those are normal and even healthy. The problem is the lack of effective moderation when it comes to toxic behavior. Harassment, bad faith replies, and mass dogpiling are not only common, they are often left unchecked.

No matter what you post or how respectfully you express your opinion, it frequently results in waves of hostile responses. This creates an environment where meaningful discussion is nearly impossible and discourages genuine users from participating.

Reddit presents itself as community-driven, but in practice, it often allows the most aggressive and toxic voices to dominate conversations.

Until stronger and more consistent moderation systems are enforced, the platform will continue to drive away users who are simply looking for constructive and respectful interaction.

I've been a Reddit user for years, probably as long as it's been open. I've had a few accounts because I like to keep things fresh, but overall my average karma has been well into the thousands. But I have to say the site is dieing. It's no longer a place for open discussion. It's a series of echo chambers where anyone who dare oppose a particular opinion or, dare I say it agenda, they get attacked viciously, or more likely banned.

I've been banned from so many subs now it's ridiculous, and had plenty of posts refused. Not even bad language, just politely pointing out a differing opinion.

To go in a particular sub, about a particular topic, only to find a dozen or so people consistently attacking that topic and disallowing anyone to defend it... It's sad.

Reddit now mostly appears to be a place for people with little intelligence to come, meet like minded low intelligence friends, and scream at anyone who shows they have the ability to think outside of tabloid headlines and MSM influence.

Such a shame, it used to be so good.

Reddit app is janky and repulsive. Any point if view not elevating their agenda is banned or you are sanctioned by their weak minded administrators Do not waste your time here; they to have many law suites pending by individuals and parents there is a reason their rating is only 1.3

Reddit presents itself as a platform for open discussion, but in my experience it heavily suppresses legitimate content while claiming to support free expression. I attempted to share advocacy-related posts about animal protection and public petitions, and my content was repeatedly removed, filtered, or blocked without meaningful explanation.

The moderation system feels inconsistent, overly aggressive, and often arbitrary. Genuine efforts to raise awareness about important social issues are treated like spam, while low-quality or harmful content frequently remains visible.

What is most frustrating is the lack of transparency. Users are often punished or censored without clear reasoning, making the platform feel less like a place for discussion and more like an environment controlled by unpredictable moderation and automated filtering.

A platform that claims to support communities and conversation should not silence respectful advocacy and awareness efforts simply because they include petitions or activism. Reddit has become increasingly hostile toward users trying to promote meaningful causes.

I have got a 365 days ban on Rainbow Six Siege xbox for not complying with some codex but they did not specify for what.

No warnings, reputation normal, no teamkills, no trolling, no mousetrap, etc.

I had just some 11 ranked matches, 1 abandon. In casual some more games and more abandons but I thought that doesnt matter. Or does it?

the only thing I could suspect: I am kinda lazy in the warmup time with drones or building walls. could that have triggered flood reports?

Redditt is a total joke. I was on it for 1 week and I somehow got banned for life. I've never been banned from anything else in my life and I am 54 years old. These automoderators that they use have no consistency. I could find 50 posts in 10 minutes that should have been deleted like mine was. It's terribly aggravating and it sounds like it's happening to a lot of people.

Reddit is far from a place for free speech. Moderators can easily control the narrative by filtering posts and comments without you ever realising it. Content is often deleted or hidden without notice, and you’ll only discover it if you check in private browsing mode.

Users can be banned for the smallest disagreement or for breaking one of Reddit’s ever-changing rules or "special rules" for a subreddit. Some moderators quietly filter out targeted users’ content rather than banning them outright, possibly to avoid backlash.

Even minor differences of opinion or innocent contributions can attract instant downvotes, fueled by a strong tribal instinct and “cult-like” groupthink. Genuine discussion is often replaced by echo chambers that reward conformity over curiosity.

Active users might even be wrongly flagged as bots, while others escape this entirely. Overall, Reddit feels less like a space for open discussion and more like a controlled environment where dissent is quietly erased.

Occasionaly, there will be useful discussions but they are becoming harder to find and even harder to take part in without it feeling or becoming toxic.

Mostly useless. You may find a niche group with smarter people, but most people on here are not intellegent to have a discussion with. It's sad that Google will show Reddit results, which in turn, causes the general population to have a lower intellegence.

Imagine being banned for a week for simply saying that a bad president(Donald Trump. There, I said it here too) should be dealt with in a way that counts(I was thinking "Jail", btw), but the automod immediately said "You have been banned for THREATENING VIOLENCE". The automod is dumb as bricks, by the way, and I have received no human input. God help this site....

This really deserves 0 stars i was haveing a great experience on Reddit until my account. u/MammothCommon5272 got suspended for no reason. When i filed an appeal for 3 a day ban i only had all cause i called 2 mod admins in a library club fake and gay 🤡 and i got suspended for no reason. Absolutely stupid and unbelievable Reddit is a trash worthless company so is yt as well!

They ban you and give you serious warnings over nothing. I've only been on reddit for 3 years and this is my experience. You say any trigger word a few too many times and instead of actually reviewing it they just ban you. I don't know if they're over worked or what at reddit and just have to deny everything they get to get through the flagged pile as quickly as possible or what, but this has happened to multiple times and I've had entire accounts banned over it, then you get in trouble for making new accounts because they fall under the same IP address or something Idk I'm not a tech dude but they know it's you making new accounts sometimes somehow. The reddit team very clearly takes 0 consideration, context or time looking into these matters. I was talking about the love is blind reunion for god sakes saying this guy deserved to be clocked by Nick Lachay and got banned because apparently the word clocked is inciting violence, they denied the appeal as well which is pretty much proof they don't pay attention to what they're doing when they say no. I also got banned and my appeal denied for saying they should eat Shauna next in the yellowjackets subreddit?? Like are you serious that show is about eating people and people genuinely make those jokes 24/7, there is a flair with the name snackie on it for one of the subreddits lol... meanwhile entire subs exist where people rate people and say creepy things and misogyinstic, racist, or homophobic and that is allowed? They can post porn too? Murder? Pedo stuff apparently I seen in another comment??

It's just a lack of care on reddits behalf for any of the users on the platform, it genuinely just feels like a ticking time bomb for everyone of "how long they can last" and it's infuriating rubbing regular innocent users noses in bans when misogynistic trolls and others like that get off scot free.

It just leaves you discouraged and frustrating and wondering when everyones day will come where they eventually get banned for any accumulation of non offensive offences that were marked. Just wondering what fluke or angry mod or BS reason that goes against freedom of speech or removing all context will be the final nail in your coffin? It sucks because you grow really attached to having your reddit accounts as well there are things you have to rebuild and relationships and credit lost even. Some people put a lot of time, money and effort into these things and they have 0 respect for the users of their site who they profit off of.

Every time I go to "reddit" I get several of "We have a server error". Then they tell me my post was deleted because I failed too many felatios at reddit. And as a good-bye they post the red "We have a server error" again... Nasty website, one of the nastiest ever, that I try to stay away from as much as I can.

What exactly is Karma? My account has been for five months, and I only posted one article (not promotional or spam) with one video, yet you filtered my post and suspended my account.

This is a terrible platform.

I did a review against my better judgment. I knew based on my previous experience that more than likely it would be flagged by their algorithms (bots). They lure you in to join in a conversation. I was emailed by the bot administrator saying that I didn't have comment karma or something to that effect. Whatever that means. It was perfectly harmless comment about a writer that because of her misguided sense of morality expurgated earlier versions of her books. I simply said that this was devolving not evolving and that she was setting back progress. Reddit like other titans of industry live in their ivory towers oblivious to what is going on around them. Using algorithms to monitor content. This unfortunately is becoming more and more prevalent which sets up a dangerous precedent. This is censorship the very thing my comment was about. It seems the vast majority of this writer's loyal readers were equally upset and distressed and dismayed. I also said this is Eighteenth century British English literature writer Samuel Richardson all over again his readers, acquaintances and contemporaries arguing with him to give his book Clarissa a different ending. But he absolutely refused to budge, because of his moralistic upbringing. And for this comment my review will never be seen. So much for enlightenment.

The company is more than okay with threats of rape, brags of paedophilia and hate speech being on their platform.

But if you say anything bad about the Trump admin, you get perma-banned. These Nazis need to be removed from society and locked up

I've have never witnessed this much misogyny, hatred for women and children, and utter disregard for human life on this website. Everyone on this site seems to be very anti-women, especially in the tennis sub, and also posting pictures of child abuse, murder, torture, and other horrific things. I'd never suggest anybody to use this website in their life.

This website should be completely shut down, and forgotten about.
