Blacks - Sheffield Reviews 

What a fantastic customer service we received today in Blacks, The Moor, Sheffield from Emily. My son is going to Kenya on a planned trip and Emily went above and beyond with helping us with queries and expert advice on what we needed etc. nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff in store are equally great and we’ve only been twice but each time has been the experience has been the same - extremely helpful, offering suggestions and product info. All of them are assets to your company. Thanks so much!

Both the staff members I delt with made transphobic comments to my face, loudly, in front of about a dozen customers. One with a look of disgust on their face, one with a smile.

Adam helped my family for about half an hour. He brought us several different pairs of walking boots and gave practical advice, all with friendliness and good humour. Explained various options available. We came away with perfectly fitting boots that saved us quite a bit compared with other shops, including online. Clearly the staff get on and know what they are talking about! Says 'closing down', but seems to be a rebrand from Blacks to GoOutdoors. Thanks, Adam!

Visited on Saturday 01/03. They have signs for a "closing down sale". But they have clearly inflated prices prior, to make items look discounted. A lot of their items can be purchased from GoOutdoors for less than their " sale" price. I noticed straight away by the ridiculous "was" prices on items I knew would never sell for that. Very dishonest pricing strategy, you won't be making a saving. Go to GoOutdoors or shop online instead.

I called into Black’s, Sheffield to get some ideas about walking shoes. I was looking at some on the Bargain Section and saw some Peter Storm shoes for £20 00. Tried them on and they fitted perfectly. I only had£19 00 with me, but a member of staff called Jack was more than helpful and he was going to arrange to keep them for me until the next day. However he came back and said that I could have them for £19 00, which was great!!! He could not have been more helpful and to me, this was great customer service!!! Extremely satisfied all round and this has encouraged me to call again in the future for any more items that I need to buy. Well done, Black’s!!!!

I returned a puffer jacket as the lining was leaking out through the seams. There was no argument but the attitude of the middle-aged assistant was almost surly, with certainly no apology for the inconvenience or anything like that. The younger assistant with her was much more pleasant and knowledgeable, helping to sort out a complication with the refund.

Went into the Sheffield store for some walking shoes/boots and was served by Adam. We found him to be very knowledgeable about the products and was able to give us great advice. He had a professional and friendly manner throughout and we felt at ease to ask questions. Thank you.

Alisha provided outstanding service! She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and made sure I had everything I needed. Her personable and friendly demeanour made the experience truly enjoyable. Alisha went above and beyond to assist me, and her expertise was evident in every interaction. I left feeling well taken care! Exceptional service!!
