Great idea, not so great in practice...

Not sure how to feel about this. Like the idea and came accross by coincidence. Bought a kit for my son's bike, assumed I would get a marking kit but instead got the basic one with sticker only. Allegedly it's tamper proof, not so sure I fully buy it. Bought an expensive new bike, decided to go for the permanent marking kit. And this time ordered the right one. Followed all the instructions, when I peeled off the stencil it left only a partial print on the bike. Completely useless, can't read the number (or webaddress for that matter). Really irritated, thankfully I didn't apply to a very visible part of the bike

I purchased two marking kits for my and my wife's bicycles, initially I tried to mark my bike on the black stem tube but the marking did not take. It was cold that morning and I suspect that was the cause because a couple of hours late I marked my wife's bike without any problems.
I contacted Jackie in the office and provided the batch details and she kindly organised a reprint of my number and a replacement kit. I took the precaution of warming the frame with a hairdryer because it was cold 6C and the kit has worked fine.
So thank you Jackie your a star

Time to update to RFID

Its about time the Bike Register came up to date with RFID tagging, if they can do it in shops for loss prevention surely they can do it for bikes.

Beware Perm Bike Marking Kit!

Sorry Bikeregister, but bought 3 permanent marker kits, applied as per instructions, I now have a series of spots which are impossible to read, some of which are white and some dark (blue?).
Luckily I started on my bike which is worth little, won't be using the other 2 kits.

I registered my bikes with Bike…

I registered my bikes with Bike Register.com via the local police last summer. This weekend two were stolen. One was found by a member of the public who contacted Bike Register who put me in touch with him. Four days later it is back in my possession. I cannot thank them enough.

Do not buy the permanent marking kit…

Do not buy the permanent marking kit which is also available at Amazon, Halfords to name two.

Applied as per instructions, there is supposed to be a 30 minute drying time, the dye ran and dried almost instantly and now have run marks on brand new bike!

Response from Bike Register was “we understand your frustration”. No further communication about their dreadful product.

Do not use

These people are thieves

These people are thieves. I registered my bike with this mob on 17th November 2022. I also paid £20ish quid for a 'permanent marker' kit, which never arrived. When I contacted them for support, I was given ticket no. #351350. I was told I would have to wait until at least 5th December before they could help. The 5th came and went a d I contacted them again asking for a refund. I have not heard anything from them since. It seems they have pocketed my cash and do not intend to provide the foods I paid for. My advice to anyone is keep your money and avoid these thieves like the plague.
