Bad experience with this store

I have been waiting since May 12 (almost two months) since I sent them a Sram AXS rear derailleur for them to process a simple warranty for a recognized AXS problem with the pogo pin.

The store bike-discount doesn't pay any attention to the mails, they only say that it can take up to 1 month, but it's been almost two.

Everyone who buys components in this store should know how their technical service works, it is unacceptable that to repair/send a new change they leave you without a bike for 2 months or more.
It is unfortunate, I will not buy here again with this support.

Apparently they sell overpriced empty parcels

After enduring a frustrating 3-week wait for the delivery of a bike chain, I was absolutely outraged to receive an empty parcel. This level of service is beyond unacceptable and a total disgrace! To make matters worse, their customer service is completely unresponsive and nowhere to be found.

the cost of delivery and return

the cost of delivery is high compared to other shops... the worst thing about bike-discount.de is the cost to send back items from Croatia...It is my mistake that I did not read "small letters" but my conclusion is that it is cheaper to keep items (and set them on fire) than sending them back for refund...products are good but if you are not sure about size, its better not to order them, than have oversized clothes... maybe BD.de could consider option to split costs of delivery, its not funny to pay for delivery in both ways

WARNING!! Doesn't include UK Customs Duty and Import VAT

I ordered a pair of forks for £570 and after being posted from Germany, I received a letter informing me that I owed £23 Customs Dury, £120 import VAT and a £12 customs fee. I couldn't return as I didn't have the forks (they are held by parcelforce until you pay) and Bike-Discount informed me that it was in the FAQ that I would have to pay all this extra. £570 quickly became £750!!!

Excellent !

Well , in france we've got All tricks which is by far the best website for biking staff .

Can't complain about Bikediscount , it has been very fast and very efficient .
Not sure if I will order a full bike on this website because it is "colissimo in france " which after germany is taking care of , and , it is not very the best for expensive staff . Maybe , in the futur , thinking about a DHL service from start to finish ? but for all the other staff I will for sure !

Slow delivery, unresponsive customer support

Ordering on a Sunday should surely result in a delivery by the end of next week? Monday and Tuesday to package and hand it over then Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for shipping with a day spare to cover any issues along the way. Everything was in stock and the site claims a 3 to 5 day delivery to Slovenia.

Well, no. Ordering on Sunday means nothing happens until Wednesday. Contacting customer support asking about the status of the order and asking to change the shipper from DPD to DHL (usually more reliable?) gives a response that it is not possible as the order has already been packaged and handed over. Additional questions were ignored.
Well the label was printed on Wednesday, the actual handover occurred on THUSRDAY.

Luckily DPD is cool and I was able to pick up the package on Monday morning in their logistics centre while leaving for my trip, thus getting the items that I needed for the trip.

I get that sometimes shipping is slow and there are a few shops where I order only if nobody else carries the item and that I don't need immediatelly, but claiming a 3 to 5 day delivery for items in stock and then taking 4 DAYS to even get the order out the door? That's insane.

After 3 weeks my mtb arrived

After 3 weeks my mtb arrived. It was carefully packed. Nice. Good experience with Bikediscount.
I wrote to them, and asked for details and delivery, but they didn't answer. That is the reason for 4 stars.

Goods never delivered, but solid customer service.

I ordered the Garmin Forerunner 935 off BikeDiscount for a good price. About 12 days later (shipping from Germany to Ireland), it supposedly arrived. However, the box was beaten up quite badly and the watch was not inside. I contacted them immediately but it took them from Wednesday til Monday to reply (this was stressful due to the amount of money but my issue was solved). On Monday I received a very helpful email, which promised me that my query would be solved by Friday. My issue was solved in the end after a week and a half. In fairness, I am definitely displeased with the fact that the goods never arrived, but I am happy with the customer service and the fact they solved my issue.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service , Don't ever order form this website and the customer service is pathetic they respond you within 10-15 days and they will take another few weeks to investigate your shipment .

Horrible Experience

Bought 3000Euro e-Bike that was 'in stock'. Upon confirmation of payment, they wrote it would take 4 weeks (not because of Corona), and when I asked why, they wrote, 'I will cancel your order then!'. My mistake not to take that as a red flag and cancel.

3 weeks later, the DHL tracking # they sent did NOT exist in any DHL tracking - not freight or elsewhere but did if I clicked the link they sent, which suddenly, 4 weeks later, showed 'DELIVERED'! (no option of choosing DHL and DPD even though their website says buyer can choose).

Where was the bike delivered? Bike-discount didn't know, if you could even get a live person on the phone. One person replied to my frantic emails asking for help, where the bike was, signature confirmation - said he was sorry for the problems, and he'd look for the bike Monday. Never heard from him/them again.

One day a local freight company called to say bike would be delivered in a few days and it was.

The bike was shipped LOOSE, placed inside an enormous box (with another company's logo on it), no bubble wrap, no protection AT ALL. Not even on the seat. Never seen anything like it. There was an opened box was at the bottom with the Bosch display unwrapped! pedals unwrapped, several empty plastic bags thrown in, used tape, etc. This bike is used or assembled by someone who doesn't care about quality. Try calling bike-discount? You'll be on hold forever, until they hang up on you.

after-sales service is not reliable

I bought a maxxis assegai tire in the shop and when I mounted it was deformed, I contacted the store that informed me to send a tire for inspection. they asked me for a video to show the tire, a video where you can clearly see the defect, I don't think it's fair to have to spend money sending a tire back and running out of a bicycle because they are inspecting a tire. I will not shop again at this store. Thank you for making me ride with a deformed tire for 40 euros.

Here is a fail story of quality, brands, warranties and lost expectations for everybody to be aware.

When we talk about popular brands VS china suppliers, usually we choose paying more to have less pain later. But that doesn’t work with some brands. Hereinafter you’ll se why I’m so pessimistic.
I've bought my Cube Elite Super HPC carbon frame from Bike-discount.de early 2016.

01.02.2016 - my Cube Elite Super HPC carbon frame arrived (WOW 09731 K L 0814 M EN 114766)

13.04.2017 - after a year of riding once I washed my bike and found that sad picture (photos) the long creaking chink appeared from under the dust
13.04.2017 (same day) - a request was send to Bike-discount customer service then one more request next day

Their answer:

I was shocked, you know, if they would have say something like "f@#k off”, that would be not that shocking to hear.

bigquotes Hi! It is definitely not a scratch. It is crack, both sides of the crack have relative movement. Frame was never been to accidents. This part of frame is unreachable for some impact. I hope you warranty statement is not an catch for losers.

Afterwards please send us the receipt along with your order number and your banking information IBAN with email. We will refund the return postage. Please download the necessary return form. You can find this in your customer summary by selecting Return item. Please also attach a copy of the invoice. Returns can be treated only if the product is sent back in clean condition. Otherwise we may have to clean dirty items or return them to you unprocessed, at your cost. Average processing times at the manufacturer are about 2-3 weeks. During the season this may take longer, unfortunately we have no influence on this. etc Johannes Axer.

10.07.2017 - Package arrived to FRANKFURT

Because of the high work load at the manufacturer/supplier, your case could not be processed yet. Of course we will try to speed up your case and will contact the manufacturer/supplier again. We ask for your patience and understanding. As soon as we have new information we will contact you immediately.

После детального рассмотрения рамы мы пришли к возможной версии что как мы полагаем и привело к данному браку в материале. Это не правильное прикрепления к нижней трубе при транспортировке велосипеда. проверка так же показала и на нижней трубе блестящию и удлиненную царапину( на фото в отмеченной области) ! котороя образовалась на основе возможного зажима. (нижния труба покрыта матовой лакировкой)! best regards"

Which meant that they have found wore signs at the TOP TUBE and at their point that caused failure of the DOWN TUBE.

- Good afternoon! This was a time to wait. But I did not expect such a resolution. Cosmetic abrasion of the top frame coating is due to the bicycle storage at home on the ICE TOOLZ P633 mount purchased at bike-discount.de (photo attached). It was slightly moving in the V-shaped hooks and the painting wear off a bit. This frame was never clamped in a vice after buying at bike discount, since I assembled it myself at home just on the floor, was also never transported by car in clamps only on a train in a case and I was carrying it myself, so there is NO option of inaccurate treatment with other variant is not possible even theoretically if we take into account the shape of the cross section of the upper tube, which has ribs projecting in the horizontal direction. Such a crack can be specially obtained only if a vertical force is applied along the lower part of the tube, but even specifically this task is non-trivial. I think you just do not want to recognize design fault

I think the manufacturer knows what he is talking about, you can send the frame again back to us and we forward this again to the manufacturer. I cant do more for you if the manufacturer confirms thats not a guarantee. Tobias Bohlmann

It looks like everyone wants to make joke of me. What devices you talking about. I'm a mechanical engineer, and working with frames of different materials. Carbon frames are handmade, somebody put less material on my frame and put a carbon fiber sheet with failure or without overlap and that shi#$ frame i got from you then. What devices could prove or refute problem with cheap Chinese manufacturing? Don't think i'm a stupid dumb. You just need to say, that Cube has no warranty at all. 3 years, 5 years - that's a lie. I'm pis#ed off. First you ignored my letters, than tried to ensure me that i broke my frame. Then i send you a frame and it was pending in the post office for a month and you weren't very interested in processing it. Then this pending with cube. And finally this come-off from cube and you. Nobody would care for rights. Cycling season is ruined plus i'm feeling like a piece of sh#t after this customer experience. etc

Conclusions?
I don't know, what to say. My advice - don't trust warranty from Cube
