Help explain how to make the required investment

Harry Persad was an excellent coach (as he was on a previous coaching session), with his customer facing skills and knowledge. I now have the answers I needed, which were then backed up with an email.

It is worth pointing out though that this session wasn’t strictly necessary in that it didn’t involve investment advice. It dealt with admin issues around bare trusts. The Bestinvest office I have to deal with do not yet appear to have the full range of knowledge and customer care necessary that I have been used to over many years with the company.

James Connor was patient, respectful, listened and communicated clearly.

A few times over the last 6 months, the system has gone down (or at least it hasn't recognized my details). Hard to get hold of a customer agent and they are slow to put up any standard warnings on their website ahout system issues. Currently on hold for 30 mins and counting. Not good enough service in this day and age.

After my coaching session with Lydia Ellis I am so much more confident in how my pension works and how to switch to different plans.
Lydia totally understood all my concerns and lack of knowledge in certain areas and explained everything to me.

I've had my SIPP on the Bestinvest platform for many years. It's quite intuitive to use and there are plenty of fund options.
More recently I had a coaching session which was helpful. Josh explained the options for moving my stocks and shares ISA and my SIPP into ready-made portfolios as I want to reduce my fees and avoid the need to manage my SIPP investment choices.

Very helpful and speedy reply from Taylor which helped clarify the course of action I needed to take. Bestinvest is a very suppotive company.

Great to chat through and get some sound advice

I've been investing with Bestinvest for over a year now and I've found it a really great experience, the site and app are simple to navigate, you can curate your portfolio however you like, fees are among the lowest on the market and there are no nasty hidden charges (HL, please take note!)

I had a "coaching call" with Alijca last week to discuss something that had been causing me a great deal of finanxiety (I literally just made that word up, lol) and I couldn't have asked for more...she was very knowledgable and full of great advice but presented things in a practical way that really made the problem seem far more manageable. Most importantly, I felt listened to, and it was genuinely lovely to have a chat without the constant feeling that you're being sold something. Alicja sent a follow-up email which summarised the things we'd discussed, along with the options she had suggested and some further reading/research. I was deeply impressed and very grateful that BI offer this as a free service -- I think there are a lot of people who struggle with money issues because we've just never had any education on the subject, and feel embarrassed speaking to others about it. So this gets a big thumbs up from me!

Great advice, good understanding of my situation and questions and some sensible answers which were very helpful.

A patient person explained everything to me. He couldn't answer one or two questions but promised to find out and get to me. He did keep his promise.

I've just been told BestInvest do not have 2 step authentication for logging in using their website.
Be warned. This company don't appear to take security as seriously as all other banks and brokers I deal with.
Truly shocked.

Also, there is no way to vote on AGM resolutions online. You need to call up and request a call-back.

I picked BestInvest to switch my wife’s SIPP funds from Interactive Investor in December 2024 in order to attract a better rate of interest for my cash holdings compared to Interactive Investor and Hargreaves Lansdown.

The transfer process was not too onerous but the admin support and processing times for BestInvest have been surprisingly slow and somewhat below expectations. The client interface is rather clunky, with some disappointingly inefficient methods in place to manage client instructions.

As the funds have just been transferred (with a surprising and costly four day interval between leaving ii and actually being credited to my new SIPP), I will have to see whether things improve from hereon)..

Had a 40 minute telephone conversation with Taylor, (Best Invest) who was so patient when guiding me through the process of investing into several funds of my choice. I would have struggled without her help and her guidance has given me confidence should I need to invest again in the future.
She's a credit to the company.
