The price for parking 1 day in LONG STAY is pure theft and GREED.

Employ the scum of humanity to oversee roads through the airport. Gangsters that try and fine you for stopping for a few mere seconds to get something out of your car. Pure gangsterism. Belfast City Airport hang your head in shame. Won't be using any flights from your grotty little airport any more, will stick to the international.

The parking and signage is confusing and
Excel Parking who manage the parking arrangements at this airport use bullying and threatening approaches with no sympathy for customers needs.
Free drop off long stay car park
Trying to drop someone off in long stay carpark .
Extremely confusing!!!
Signage not very clear and such a roundabout way to actually get there... guesswork all the way and you dare not stop to figure it out as you would be fined!!
You have to tap your card on way in to get a ticket but on way out the barrier just lifts..none of this clear whatsoever
Also lots of arrows once you actually enter but not clear at all as how to proceed to exit ....never saw such a bizarre set up in all my life !
Management never responded to my complaint
I complained about ignorant security staff back in Nov 2025. The duty manager said the security manager would contact me directly. Of course they never did. I'll never fly from this airport again hateful security staff and worse management.
Parking is a complete rip off
Parking is a complete rip off. Charged £40 for 74 minutes in the long stay car park.
Badly signed posted plus the renowned fines for stopping on the red lines is forcing people to make hurried decisions.
This airport is a joke. Avoid and get better value flights elsewhere.
Carparking
Carparking! So confusing when you arrive, felt like you were constantly driving back on yourself even on the exit. Fees extortionate- £4 for a minute drop off and then to find out 1st 10 mins free in long stay car park. Why long stay and not short stay and why isn't it advertised better! Plus there's no time to stop and read the many notices. Did the person who designed it drive it? Is it just all about making money?

The check in was smooth, staff very friendly no hassle whatsoever . Most enjoyable. Samsons bar and restaurant relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, especially Liam, couldn't do enough for us. Food brilliant,. Ned and mag rep of Ireland 🇮🇪

I live in Northern Ireland and this is my nearest airport. Belfast City Airport is clean and tidy. My husband doesn't like the fact that I often end up spending a fair bob in the shops here, but its because it helps pass the time.
We often fly down to Spain from this airport to go to our second home in Malaga.
I would highly rate this airport!
Really impressed with Belfast City…
Really impressed with Belfast City Airport. Check-in and security were quick and efficient, and everything was well organised which made travelling stress-free. The staff were friendly and helpful, and facilities were clean and easy to get around. A smooth start and finish to our holiday – one of the easiest airports to travel through. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Poor - still in the dark ages
Poor from security, very little communication, organisation and instruction with the public. Very poor options in departure area for people with food intolerances. Coeliac particularly.
Could do with an update in general.

BEST STAFF CARE IN YEARS
I got to my gate to take a domestic flight early this morning and was turned away. I did not have hard copy i.d.
I understood that the error was all my own and politely waved my partner onto our flight and watched him fly off. He had to go.
The airport staff at the gate tried to help me but followed the rules. Rules are for everyone’s safety and I gracefully sat to the side.
However, after the plane drove away, preparing for take off, he checked the next flight for this morning to my destination and booked me on it with no extra charge. I had enough time to go home and get my photographic i.d.
The staff in the airport entrance called my car park and got me a pass out to return again, and here I am in departures. again. 😁
While plane waiting, I watched a young staff member help a less abled elderly lady onto a Swissport plane. He couldn’t have looked after her anymore and if you didn’t know better she could have been his Grandmother, with the level of care and patience he gave her, as she slowly climbed the steps onto the plane.
My thinking after this mornings adventure is this…..
This is not an international airport and thankfully the staff service isn’t otherwise I’d be at home right now. Some negative raters/ranters/posters may be expecting this level of service. But if you want a thoughtful, considerate, caring local airport, you couldn’t ask for more than George Best City. This makes me proud to be Norn Irish and hope visitors coming here get even a fraction of the level of customer care I did this morning. It makes our country stand out from the rest. This NI does really well.
Thank you to all the staff who helped me this morning, especially the early morning supervisor. Friday 7th March.
Not fit for purpose, AND a total rip off !
Been using this dreadful excuse for an airport for years due to being the only connection to heathrow, Complete maze to get into the car park, when you do its a total rip off to park, worst british airways check on earth(slow, ignorant agents) security lines are a joke when busy (including fast track) BA lounge just about ok at best, but worst of all, the abysmally short runway, i’ve had some horrendous landings at this place and always dread landing here when windy, many times in the last few years i’ve been on flights when they have to do a "go around" when windy, the recent "update" to the car park entry must have been the brainstorm of a moron !
I sorely miss the days when i could fly from aldergrove to heathrow without the fear and loathing of a dangerously short runway, it really is a disaster waiting to happen, unfortunately i’m forced to frequent this place and i dream of the time when i no longer have to, of all the airports around the world i use regularly, this is easily bottom of the pile from every prospective, scandalous !!!!
Awful experience
Awful experience. Rude staff checking size of hand luggage. Intimidatory and alarmist challenging us to complain. The bag was empty (nowhere near the 7kg limit) and less than 5mm over the height. Used this bag for the last 2 years without any trouble. Very unhappy, the fine was bad enough but the attitude of the staff was most upsetting
Feeling Watched
was here today for first time and sat downstairs as there was a vending machine and i wanted to make sure my bag fit in holder and also to get away from busy and noisy airport ( mental health reasons).
Sat here an hour with 100s of staff walking past until one security guard approached.
Instantly telling me to move and saying it wasnt allowed.
I said sure and started to pack things feeling rushed as i tried to explain ive never been but just got told repeatedly cant be here and also tried to force me into going to buy food at one of the resteraunts rather than sit and watch a movie
I was then smirked at for arriving 4 hours before my flight as i had come from a different city and the train times arrived early.
I moved and forgot a bag which was soon returned by same security who basically shoved it in my face.
Will not be returning as i noticed every vested working walk past looking and also the secret security and police trying to intimidate and make sure i did notice them.
Left hand luggage
I left my carry on bag at luggage carousel . When I arrived home I realised I left at airport ,before I could ring airport they phoned and said they have got it …big relief as had passports and documents in it .. this was a great service .. nowhere like our wee Belfast .😂
“Not an international airport”
Heaven forbid you arrive here with outsize baggage in addition to your regular baggage. The inexplicably narrow exit doors from the baggage collection carousels are one way, with no assistance available. The baggage carts require a £1 coin (who has that if you’ve come from an international flight from London (Belfast city airport being the only choice of airport for this)?
I raised the challenges faced to the information staff was met by the rudest individual I’ve come across for a long time. “This isn’t an international airport” was the justification. For the service desk supervisor seemed wilfully ignorant or insufferably dismissive.
It’s not just the exit from badge reclaim that appears anti-tourist / returning resident but the entire drop-off / collection system that’s been put in place appears to be a money grab at a whole new and disgusting level. Not only that but recent changes make navigating the airport unintuitive and even more confusing than it ever was. Like it was intentionally broken or designed by a 3 year old. Although more likely broken in line with the money grab, fleecing everyone who simply wants to drop and go. This money grab perspective is reflected in how we are now forced through the shop after security and feels somewhat predatory on people’s holiday spirit. In short the upgrades reflect corporate greed at its finest with real costumer needs set to the bottom of the pile
Easily the friendliest airport and…
Easily the friendliest airport and airport staff in the UK. It may be a tiny airport, but they do things right!

Arrived at 6.35amfor a British Airways flight that registered on the board almost immediately as cancelled! The first flight of the morning. The city airport staff are unhelpful sitting heads down in the middle of panicking travellers. Poor show😢
