Cancelled on us with less than a month via post.
With less than a month to go to our wedding we received a letter through the post from Beetle days with a cheque.
The letter informed us that they would no longer provide the Beetle car and our deposit had been refunded by cheque which wasn't how we paid.
Devastated my fiancée tried her best to arrange the same car elsewhere but none where available. Also as it was so close to the wedding most wouldn't take a deposit and the money we had for the wedding car was trapped waiting to be cleared because it was a cheque.
Since, they have ignored our emails, so we have been unable to get more answers or vent our frustration. The letter states that due to a large number of cancellations they have decided to no longer offer the Beetle car. How these cancellations mean the can no longer offer the car makes no sense to me. If you are having cancellations you need all the business you can get and the business is still running. They should have honoured the contract of sale or at least had the decency to contact us.
The beetle car is still available on their website to hire. Frankly I'm appalled. I truly believe they have taken another booking closer to their location as we were a couple of hours away. If that was a problem they should have never taken the booking.
Luckily for us a we were able to convince an absolute stranger who lived near by and owned a soft top Beetle to help us out or else our wedding would have with a taxi ride for the bride.
