Bad Return policy. In order to receive one of their shipping labels, the cost is almost half of the product. They want you to sign up for $25 in order to get free returns. I was on hold for 48 minutes in order to get to customer support, to discuss this with them. This was useless as they stood firm on their policy and I could barely understand what they were saying. I will not be shopping BB&B ever again.
Well, it kind of seems pointless to leave a review amongst all the other reviews and wish I would have come here first but here we are. Terrible customer service. Do nothing to help you. The extend shipping protection policy is garbage. Of the items I actually received, and returned one item the shipping label cost $25 - to return one item.
i received a faulty parts kit for my umbrella. After 30 minutes they agreed upon to send a replacement kit, second kit was missing more than the first. Opened another request for a kit and i am now on hold for 55 minutes. Never got kit. I now have an umbrella I cannot use?
I was searching for a metal bed . I found the one I like on your Web site. It was listed on sale for 691.30 item 18545429. I was then offered a 20% discount if I provided my email address and agreed to receive promotional emails. I did this and then down loaded app. I selected apply discount. It then said discount does not apply to already discounted items. When I was offered the discount it did not list any restrictions. All it said was provide email address and receive 20% discount on your order. It was offered while I was looking at the above item. I provided my email address but the was told it does not apply. Why would your company offer the discount and after I provide required info as requested then tell me it does not apply when i try to use it? I feel like I was mis led and taken advantage of. Please try to explain to me what you think. If you were me and this happened to would you also be upset.
To return a rug, they wanted to charge me $51 dollars, which is more than 50% of the rug's price. Put on hold for a hour. I was told by their clearly overseas rep that the best they would do is charge me 35% of the rug to return it. He acted like he wanted a reward for this "discount." So I get to pay $60 for the honor of not having a rug.
I ordered a bench through Walmart. Bed Bath and Beyond sells there merchandise on there site. The item was shipped to the incorrect address. They claimed they sent it to the address provided. I explained that I don't live there and they refuse to help in any way, shape or, form. I am now out $90 dollars.
They keep telling me that they sent it to the address provided. Yes, fine. BUT I DONT LIVE THERE ANYMORE, and haven't for quite some time. My address has been updated. Perhaps it was my error? Maybe. But now the item is sitting at a place that's unoccupied and I can't retrieve it. They offered zero solutions. Just kept blaming me.
I let them know I didn't get the item cause I don't live there. They could care less.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bed Bath & Beyond. I ordered an item online that was highly recommended on their website, but the quality was shockingly poor once it arrived. When I attempted to return it, I discovered the return shipping label would cost over $100, which is absurd.
I tried calling customer service for help, but the wait time was more than two hours before I could speak with a representative. When I finally reached someone, I was told that if I paid $24.95 for a rewards membership, I could return the item for free. Feeling stuck, I signed up—only for the app to show that the “free return” option was delayed due to my membership status.
I had to call customer service AGAIN, only to be told they refused to refund the membership fee and would only issue store credit “per the fine print,” with zero willingness to work with me despite the situation.
Overall, this entire experience has felt misleading and incredibly frustrating. The customer service at every step has been unacceptable, and the return process is set up in a way that feels deeply unfair to customers. I will not be shopping here again
I was going to order a recliner and after looking at the return policy I decided to call and make sure that there "FREE" return policy was really FREE. Guess what it is not. This is very deceiving on their part. No wonder they are no longer in business.
I ordered the Office Desk 55.1” Executive Desk from Beyond and unfortunately received it in damaged condition. I reached out within the first week of receiving the item, but due to a missing email I had trouble locating, I had to resend some of the documentation later.
While customer service has been courteous, my request for a refund or replacement was denied based strictly on the 30-day return policy, without consideration for the fact that the product arrived defective.
I still believe this can be resolved fairly and hope Beyond’s leadership team will review the case. I prefer to work directly with the company rather than escalate through other channels, and I will update this review based on the outcome.
Nice sheets overall. Soft and look good, but they’re not quite as comfy or smooth as I hoped. Decent for the price.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing online from Bed Bath & Beyond (now managed by Overstock) and their partner seller, Deconovo. I used to trust this store before they shut down, but the “new” version is nothing like the old one. If you're thinking of buying from them online, especially anything handled by a third-party seller—DON’T.
The return process is almost impossible unless you’re willing to spend extra money and jump through endless hoops.
Here’s what happened:
You can’t simply return the item on the Bed Bath & Beyond/Overstock website.
You have to apply for a return, and then you get a message telling you to contact the partner seller directly.
Deconovo’s response was unbelievable.
They told me that if the curtain doesn’t fit my window, that’s my problem—not theirs. No complimentary return. No option to drop it off at a store because there is no physical store.
You have to PAY for your own return shipping.
This alone is bad, but it doesn’t end there.
They make the return process a job.
After paying for shipping, I had to take a photo of the receipt and email it back to them. Then they wanted me to list how many items I’m returning—obviously the entire purchase, but apparently they need you to spell that out.
Overall, the whole experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and completely customer-unfriendly. What used to be a decent store has become a frustrating, expensive mess due to terrible return policies and lack of accountability from their partner sellers.
Save yourself the headache. DO NOT buy online from the new Bed Bath & Beyond or anything fulfilled by Deconovo.
Horrible webiste with poorly-handled delivery and almost no customer care.
BedBathBeyond only uses Fedex Ground delivery which always left 3 large packages in the package room in my apartment without following instruction to deliver them at my door. When I reach out to BedBathBeyond, they claimed that they can't contact Fedex to correct their delivery or offer any additional help either. If I need to ask for a return since I can't lift up all the package along the stairs on my own, I will need to pay for a pickup fee of $206.99 which is totally ridiculous- why would I need to pay extra amount if BedBathBeyond failed to ensure a proper delivery at the first place?
Already filed complaint through Better Business Bureau.
Bed Bath and Beyond knowingly sell faulty and incomplete items then refuse to rectify or refund. I spent well over $1,000 on garden planters from Bed Bath and Beyond. When I went to assemble them the bottom section was missing on one of the six. I have contacted them multiple times and they simply refuse to replace or allow a return and refund.
Nothing they sell is exclusive so protect yourself and buy from another supplier. Bed Bath and Beyond are fraudulent in their business practices, and their morals unacceptable.
My only options for resolution are by contacting my Bank and explaining to them what has happened in the hope of a claw back, and contacting the item manufacturer to see if they can resolve what their buyer/seller refuse to do.
Yes, they charged me a third of the product that I was trying to return $20 on towels that were far less quality than the same towels a few years ago. Never deal with them again. Always go to Amazon.
Wish I had read the reviews! OMG 99% are
awful! Never seen anything like this- ever. Not sure how they are still in business BUT if everyone reports to the BBB, we have a chance at shutting them down or legal action.
I purchased a set of dining chairs from Bed Bath and Beyond and every single one arrived with the same defect. There is plastic installed above the springs so when you sit the chair makes a loud crunching sound like a diaper. I reported the issue within 5 days of receiving them.
What followed was a complete shell game from customer service. They kept shuffling my emails to different people who all demanded the same explanations again. They asked for photos which I sent. Weeks later they wanted more details and video so I sent six videos showing the sound from all six chairs. After that they said they would send everything to their partner who makes the chairs.
Their final response was that I had now passed the 30 day window to file a claim so I had no recourse. This was after I followed every step they asked for and responded immediately every single time.
I have never experienced such deliberate stalling to avoid responsibility for a defective product. People deserve to know how this company treats customers. Buyer beware.
They have the worst customer service ever. They sent my package to my billing address not shipping address which I'm not sure why they were different. Then wanted me to go to that address and ask for my package.... They're CRAZY!! Not only is that insane but ludacris!!! Then when I went to the BBB they tried saying PayPal changed my address when I ordered from them. Again insane. I never lived at this address or used or anything for that matter of this address. I use PayPal all the time and every order comes to MY address. I would stay away from this website at all costs. They are not the same as the brick and mortar stores that most have closed. My advice boycott bed bath and beyond website entirely!!
I purchased a BC throw for my dad's birthday, who was in the hospital. Sadly, he passed away the day before his birthday. I never took the throw out of the bag. It arrived on Friday (a few days ago). They charged be $4.95 for shipped, but to return they want $20.19. I opted to ship on my own, but was told it might never arrive at the correct warehouse and therefore would not receive credit. Additionally, if I did it on my own I would incur a return fee. I will NEVER order from them again. Shameful
Didn't actually ship my item. Even after the window for delivery passed they claim it is shipped but UPS says it's just a printed label. I've filed a paypal dispute, I hope to get my money back. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. SCAMMERS. Their AI chat had me in a 6 minute cue for an hour then came up that no agents were available. Gave a phone number for the Western Alabama Mental Health Center as their customer service number (I have screen shots). RUN AWAY
I bought a 29 dollar shower curtain that didnt say in the description that you had to drill it into the wall. i have tile and cant drill. They wanted 20 dollars to return it and I couldn't use my own label since theybdont guarantee a refund. Highway ROBBERY. I will NEVER shop here again.
