Light showed up clearly returned once with damage to the box and damage to the light. They ask for pictures and agree about the damage then process a refund and end the chat. Now I get to box up, tape, print label, drive to UPS, and then wait until they inspect the item to get my money back. All this because they knowingly sent a returned item to a customer without specifying or sending through a reprocess to have sold again. Too many other places to buy from to deal with this again
If I could give a negative rating I would. I purchased 4 curtain sheer curtains. The color was a weird yellow. In order to return I was required to purchase 4 separate labels at a cost of $26 ea. which was more than original cost. Total weight for all 4 was under 4lbs.
Repeated customer service contacts were no help with all being disconnected. This is such a deceptive return policy which is not stated anywhere. The site says free returns within 30 days. Horrible company!!!
I made the mistake of ordering a light fixture from this company. I called the same day and tried to cancel it because I realized they were charging three times what the same light fixture was on Amazon. After being on the phone for a very long time, the agent told me that they probably could cancel it, but then I got an email saying that the order was not canceled. It took several days to finally arrive, the qualities is poor, and I want to return it. On the return portal, it asks you if you want to use their shipping label or your own. Their shipping label was going to be $22. Which is 25% of what the stupid light fixture cost. I said I would like to use my own label, because I ship things for a living, but then a window pops up, basically threatening you not to use your own shipping because then you may be charged more if they have to “research“ the return and other ridiculous language. I have been on hold trying to talk to somebody in customer service now for 45 minutes and no one is answering.DO NOT BUY FROM BED BATH AND BEYOND!!! They are unscrupulous and fleecing their customers.

Returns are the worst experience. They will do everything to avoid sending you a free return label arguing that they are right and you the customer wrong!

The product arrived with significant damage - some from shipping, but also a significant amount from what looked like someone else putting it together and then returning it and packing it poorly. I made the mistake of buying the EXTEND shipping protection which there were issues with and was unusable in time to have this present for Christmas, which is what it was intended for. So now, because I bought the extend protection (which isn't truly available), I cannot get my money back from Bed Bath & Beyond supposedly, I have this broken up Armoire sitting in my garage with no way to return it, and after two and a half hours on the phone with Bed Bath and Beyond customer service yesterday, they said there is nothing they can do to help me. If I return the armoire to them, they should be able to return to the product manufacturer to get their money back - and if they credit me for the product, they wouldn't be out any money. I offered to forego a refund to my original payment in exchange for a store credit so that my money would still be being spent with them; I offered that to help THEM OUT and they wouldn't do it. So I am now out hundreds of dollars and still don't have a functional armoire and can't get rid of the broken one! Do not buy from them - they are no longer a reputable company.
I bought Fieldcrest cotton sheets, expecting the same quality as other Fieldcrest sheets I bought a couple of years ago. The sheets I received are no where near the quality, no Fieldcrest labels on the trim of sheets or pillow slips and they smelt musty, like they had been sitting in a damp environment. Never again..BB&B are off the shopping list.
I ordered 2 chairs and when I called to ask why they didn’t come I had to wait over 45 minutes on hold. I then order the half moon ottomans but the greys didn’t match, they charged me $82 to return them, only sent one return label and then I tried texting with a live person who never answered me as I was at UPS with this huge box, that I had to take back to my car. I called to get the 2nd label and again waited over 30 minutes to talk to a human. Ridiculous….. maybe hire some more people when waits are that long?

I made a purchase of 9 items consisting of curtain panels and valance. The items arrived on time but once the package was opened it became obvious they where much thicker than your average curtains. Because of this we needed to return part of the order. (3 of the 9 pieces) When we stated the return process it required we enter the valance on one return and the curtain on another. Starting with the valance they wanted to charge$20.80 for the return label when the cost of the purchase price was only $20.39. Then when we entered the 2 curtain panels the wanted to charge another $20.80 each when the purchase price was only $26.72 each. They also required the items be shipped in 2 separate boxes causing two return shipping labels and two label fees.
After a 45 minute wait on the phone to speak with a customer service representative it too another hour and being put on hold numerous times with the C/S rep offering several small reductions in the label fees. During the long hold periods I contacted USPS and discovered I could ship everything together in one box going to the same location for $16. but the C/S rep said they had to be shipped in 2 separate boxes because they were shipped to me in 2 boxes.
At this point I requested to speak to a supervisor which took another extended waiting period.
Ultimately I was forced to accept their return terms of separate boxes at $14.56 each.
I will NEVER deal with Bed Bath & Beyond or Overstock again and recommend you don't either.
Bed, Bath & Beyond is DONE. Do NOT buy from. Shipping took WEEKS. Had to process a return and they wanted to charge me $23! The item only cost $50. I'll just keep the item but I WILL NOT buy from them again.
Bought a Christmas gift and it was not the right fit for our home. Now, I am being charged more than $20 to send it back. I will never buy from Bed Bath & Beyond again
i had 2 lamps delivered and both ahd broken shades. to return it from my house cost $59 - more than the cost of one lamp. i finally contacted them and they did let me return them for free if i took them to ups. i had written a bad review of the item and it said 'declined'. Really? I cant say anything bad? Last purchase from them!
Do not order from Bed Bath & Beyond I ordered two bath rugs for almost $60. When they got here they skid it all over the floor and they were already shedding so I sent them back unfortunately they charge me $18.75 which they deducted from my refund. Poor quality worse customer service rip off for returns I will never buy from them again.
Purchased an item with a high price point but read reviews and felt secure in my purchase. Item received was of poor quality (sadly disappointed) for price being charged by BBB. Was unfamiliar with the brand IBENA. If you need to return an item to BBB, customer is on the hook for FULL SHIPPING charges. BBB does not stand behind quality; only will deal with items that have defects/damage. So, be sure of what you are buying...be very familiar with the brand - unless perhaps there are hundreds of item reviews on the BBB site. If you have any quality concerns/doubts, and may need to return for a poor item purchase - shop elsewhere.
I am extremely disappointed in Bed Bath & Beyond over their return policy and want to make sure others are aware as well. I have been a life-long customer, and I will never shop there again after my recent experience. I recently purchased a large 9x12 rug and a matching runner. After I purchased the rug, it was no longer available on their website in that size, so I believe I was shipped the last one and possibly a previously returned rug. The rug came promptly but when it came it was folded instead of rolled up and folded in half as well. It did not come in original packaging but in dirty heavy plastic. We immediately unfolded it and laid it out. After several days of trying to stretch it and flatten it with heavy items it would still not lay flat and there were large lumps all over the rug. After five days, I called Bed Bath and Beyond and requested to return both the large rug as well as the matching runner (since I could not use it because of the damage to the large rug). The return of the large rug took a while but, overall, it was easy. I waited on hold for almost 40 minutes. Once I spoke with the rep and provided her pictures, she agreed there was damage and waived shipping costs. I asked that shipping costs also be waived for the runner given that it was not useable due to the other damaged rug. I was offered reduced shipping costs of $16 but was told it could not be waived unless I signed up for their yearly subscription service (allows one free return per month). I requested to speak to a supervisor and waited an extremely long time, but the supervisor said they also did not have the power to waive the return shipping costs because that particular item wasn't damaged. I was on the phone for over an hour and 40 minutes to be told that there was no one with the power to waive this. They all agreed that it was wrong but said they had no power to change it. It just seems wrong to me. I don't think that I should be responsible for shipping given that the return was created by their mistake and it is crazy that no one has the power to do the right thing for a customer.
Ordered bedding came and was very cheaply made. Called to return I paid 450.00 and they are charging me half of what I paid to return it! Don’t order from them their policies are terrible! I will tell everyone one that do!
I ordered 2 items that complemented each other, a duvet set and matching sheets. They sent 2 sheet sets instead. I reached out to their customer service and was told that I would have to pay shipping for the return even though it was their fault. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the customer service rep made a rude comment and disconnected. I used to shop BBB stores regularly, but I will never shop with them again.
Absolutely terrible customer service!!!!! Sent me the wrong curtains twice then charged me twice for return label!!! You can not talk to a live person!! After holding for 45 minutes they hang up on you!!!!

I placed an order for a bench on Dec 9. Estimated delivery was by Dec 19. I got a shipping notice days ago but it still hasn't shipped. Today is the 18th. My order page on website says it's delayed but according to product page they have 4 in stock. I tried calling yesterday afternoon and there was a 51 minute wait to speak with an agent. I called again this morning and it said there was an 8 minute wait so I stayed on the line. It's been 36 minutes so far and I'm still listening to their horrible music and being told every 60 seconds that they are sorry about the delay. I do not believe they are sorry. Wayfair had the same item but the price was slightly better at BB&B so I bought from them. Next time I will spend the extra money and order from Wayfair.
This may truly be the worst company in existence. Products always arrive damaged, customer service is horrendous , wait times exceed an hour, and refunds take weeks and weeks DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER!!!!!!
