Dissapointed in Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf resort and Spa

My family and I had a disappointing experience at the Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, where we felt distinctly unwelcome from the moment we arrived. We were staying at the Mauricia Beachcomber and inquired at reception about visiting the Trou aux Biches property for the day, as we were considering it for a future trip with golf friends and family. Since both hotels are part of the Beachcomber group, we were informed that our all-inclusive package allowed us to visit other Beachcomber hotels and use their facilities.

However, upon arriving at Trou aux Biches, the atmosphere quickly turned negative. From the gate to the reception, the staff were unhelpful and dismissive, making us feel clearly unwelcome. When we asked about nearby golf courses, we received a curt response: “There is nothing.” We explained that we simply wanted to look around the facilities and not dine or use any services, but we were firmly told that if we wanted to eat or drink anything, we would have to pay.

Although we were eventually permitted to walk through the property, the overall experience felt cold and uninviting. For a resort that promotes itself as a five-star beachfront and spa destination, the lack of basic hospitality was both surprising and disappointing. I had expected far better service and a more welcoming attitude. Unfortunately, this experience has made it difficult for me to consider booking at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in the future or recommending it to friends and family.

Paradis Beachcomber Hotel in Mauritius

The Paradis Beachcomber resort was selected by my family to recharge and unwind from having another busy year. We took along our two children, 17 and 14 years of age, and stayed for 12 nights.
The Hotel was everything we wanted it to be. Staff were wonderful and provided a professional and friendly service.
Restaurants were varied (and some at other close hotels) and again provided a mixed menu between Japanese and Mauritian and Mediterranean. Travel to these was provided by golf cart available every 15 minutes.
Management on site were always available and I would especially mention Jean Yves who led by example.
We have had holidays in the Caribbean, Mexico and the USA, and I would confidently say that the experience we had at Paradis, was by far our most favourable. I would strongly endorse any one wanting to have a similar type of holiday and would recommend the Paradis without any reservations.
