Disappointed by the SensatioDisappointed

Disappointed by the Sensationalism

I find it outrageous that BBC News often neglects serious and important topics in favor of sensationalist stories. The platform seems more focused on grabbing attention than informing the public. During interviews with experts, they frequently cut them off under the excuse that “time is up,” only to follow it with annoying advertisements or trivial weather updates. It’s frustrating and feels like a disservice to viewers who expect genuine journalism.

Frankly, I think calling this a "news programme" is misleading—it’s more like tabloid entertainment. A shame for a network once known for integrity.

What a load of one sided news the bbc…

What a load of one sided news the bbc has just broadcast today on the news only one story backing up Trumps decision to bomb Iran no other news in the world today worth BBC news has lost the plot and forgten it is there to give the whole of the world's news to the people who pay their licence fee to be informed of all the world's news not just two of the world's biggest egos and in one case a mass killer of innocent Palestinian women and children a platform to justify his actions

Woke antisemitic drivel

I’m increasingly frustrated with what this institution has become. It appears heavily biased towards so-called “woke” policies, often at the expense of the values and concerns of the indigenous population. There’s a noticeable tolerance — even promotion — of antisemitic rhetoric, alongside a constant push of trans and drag-related content that many feel is disproportionate and ideologically driven.

This used to be a world-respected organisation, trusted for its impartiality and integrity. Now, it often feels more like a political mouthpiece than a public broadcaster. Why am I being forced to fund something that no longer represents the views or interests of a large portion of the population?

They reported on the riots in Ballymena…

They reported on the riots in Ballymena and made sure they told everyone that it was a hate crime but absolutely NO report of why it happened. Lying by omission . Only telling half the story . They cancelled an interview with a MP because he would tell the truth

They even called the riots in LA 'protests' and made no report of why ICE were removing people. It's amazing how when it's the left rioting the BBC play it down

Their job is to report the news and be impartial but they're incapable of that

BBC are not to be trusted and need to be defunded. Repulsive lot

BBC Radio 4 Supposed to be a talk…

BBC Radio 4 Supposed to be a talk station but more and more music creeping in. Also they dont seem to have any sort of watershed or profanity filter. some of the daytime radio plays when children might be listening are disgusting. They also have too many Americans commenting oin British affairs. Ive struggled to decipher what some foreign guests are saying Their command of English is poor.

Nothing but NOISE!

Booms, bangs, beep tunes and countdown timers, BBC news has fallen into the abyss! The loud noises seriously hurt my hearing ... what exactly is the point?
The newscasters must have a 'BOOM' button that they press, sometimes after each and every announcement, why doesn't the BBC realise how annoying this is?
I believe that the BBC believes this projects an 'air of importance' alongside their statements of 'unrivalled reporting' ... it's all part of their self admiration! The reality is altogether different, their reporters ask questions and when someone tries to reply they constantly interrupt or break off in mid interview for ... the weather! considering the weather is on many times per hour and doesn't change much over 10 minutes or so this is inexcusable! With a few exceptions, the quality of the interviewing is dreadful. The BBC should take a look at Channel4 to see what quality reporting looks like. The BBC must also think that we are all illiterate and stupid as they feel the need to constantly remind us that we are watching BBC news!

Self-defeating message

The item "One account connects all of the BBC" is self-defeating. The general impression I get is "danger!". We are always on the alert for temptation from disreputable senders. The BBC would do better with a much more subtle, underplayed approach.

Today Sunday edition

Today, Sunday May 25th, the first half or more ( I switched off), was about an ex BBC person who died. The most important thing going on in the world today was a eulogy for an ex BBC person. I’m sure he was well respected but so much time for this ?? Appalling for a major news network.

Misleading reporting

Stunned that the reporting of the Trump/ Ramaphosa meeting today stated categorically that there is no land expropriation in South Africa. Did the Expropriation Act 2024 signed this year pass the BBC by totally unnoticed despite the potential for land seizure without compensation?

Morally bankrupt

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. They are so politically biased and allow the Israeli lobbyists to run their editorial. It was joyful to cancel the licence fee and listen to the call advisor literally try every rebuttal under the sun to get me to stay. Guys remember you can cancel if you don't watch broadcast tv, live tv, iplayer, bbc, news, terrestrial etc. If you only watch on demand like movies on netflix then you don't need this illegal licence. I wasted 2 decades giving those clowns my money which they've used to create ever worsening tv content, pay presenters ridiculous wages, and not say anything in defence of palestinians and deliberately not reported on the active genocide. May this help to bring the collapse of this morally bankrupt corporation. And not to mention the threatening words of the advisor on the phone that they scan and visit people and prosecute. What kind of a dystopia society do we live in. Go to hell BBC
