Buying a ring from Baunat was a great experience. The diamond and craftsmanship fully matched the description — elegant and of very high quality. The ordering process was smooth and transparent, and delivery was fast with full tracking. Customer service was outstanding: quick responses, helpful advice, and real attention to detail. Overall, I felt well taken care of and can highly recommend Baunat.

In May, I purchased my engagement ring from Baunat in Geneva. The ring itself is absolutely beautiful — the diamond and craftsmanship are excellent, and my fiancé is very happy with it.

I want to give special thanks to Jeanne in the Geneva office, who was fantastic throughout. She really tried her best to help me, and none of the difficulties I encountered were her fault. Unfortunately, the problems came from Baunat’s overall customer service systems, which made the whole process far more stressful than it should have been.

When I explained at my appointment that I needed the ring by 14 May, I was assured and it was confirmed that this would be possible. I relied on that agreement, but Baunat then failed to meet the deadline. Instead, I was told the only option was to travel at my own expense from Geneva to Belgium, then onward by train to a small city outside Brussels, to collect the ring myself. After flying and taking trains just to get there, I was shocked by the complete lack of hospitality. At Tiffany, Bvlgari, or any other famous house charging similar prices, you are offered champagne, whiskey, cognac, or at least a gesture of welcome and feeling celebratory with your purchase. At Baunat, I wasn’t offered even a glass of water — not even a smile.

Later, when we needed a simple resize, I was told the fastest possible was one month. I ended up going to a regular jeweller, who completed the adjustment in 40 minutes. For something so minor, the delay was extremely frustrating.

Because of these experiences, we decided against ordering our wedding bands from Baunat, which is a shame, as the quality of their jewellery is truly excellent. Overall, I would recommend Baunat for their beautiful diamonds and craftsmanship, but their customer service systems urgently need serious improvement.

Update:
The response of Baunat is even more insulting than the customer service itself. When we were first choosing Baunat and read similar exchanges, we believed the company was right. But now it is clear: Baunat is simply gaslighting its clients. Almost everything written here is untrue, and the very tone of this reply only proves what I wrote in my original review — Baunat has a fundamental problem in customer service.

The jewellery is indeed beautiful, but the way you treat customers completely devalues it. Instead of offering a simple, human response — “we are sorry this happened, we will try to do better, please give us another chance” — you publish a long page full of excuses, denying responsibility and putting all the blame back on the client.

This is not accountability, this is dismissal. It is unbelievable that after such an experience, the official response would be so defensive and misleading. For this reason, I am now lowering my rating to one star.
