The four star hotel Baia Taormina is one star too much.
On the positive side: Crazy views of the sea and mountains, shuttle service to the beach and Taormina as well as two pools.
However, the price level is simply too high in relation to the quality of the rooms; we live in luxury rooms without eg a coffee machine, ironing board and iron, extraction in the living room does not work and so does the lock in the door to the bathroom - have said it up to several times over several days, but without luck. The decor of the room is from the late 80's / early 90's - in no way tasteful and what a guest can expect from a four-star hotel. Add to that a staff that hardly knows a word of English, which doesn't make your stay any better. Wifi? Hmmm ...
