Michael A truly impressed me with his kindness and professionalism. He was so polite, holding the door open without hesitation and responding to my questions with a respectful yes ma’am. From the time I was there he worked tirelessly, assisting customer after customer while keeping a genuine smile on his face. His dedication and positive attitude stood out, and honestly, he deserves a raise for all the hard work he put in. Great job, young man!

Stress Free AutoZone Experience

I had an exceptional experience at AutoZone Store #167 on 3100 E. Magnolia in Knoxville, TN 37914 on June 17, 2025, that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, Freddy L, the Parts Sales Manager, made me feel valued and well taken care of "after apprising him about a disappointing experience that just had taken place between one of his employees and me". Freddy completely made up for his subordinate's poor behavior by addressing my car issue (e.g., exchange my bad battery; check the starter and altenator; sometimes it would take multiple times to crank prior to starting up my vehicle) and being completely professional.

During the initial attempt of testing my starter, it was determined that my battery was bad. So no testing could take place until the battery was changed. Freddy L handled everything with remarkable professionalism and efficiency. Since I had purchased the battery a few months earlier, the exchange was seamless—Freddy simply checked the records, confirmed the purchase date, and the exchange was completed effortlessly.

What truly set this visit apart was Freddy's expertise and dedication. He used a specialized testing device to assess my vehicle's charging system, starter, and alternator, taking the time to explain each step clearly. He patiently walked me through how to interpret the readings, making sure I understood what was happening behind the scenes. Additionally, Freddy used a device to temporarily retain my vehicle’s electrical system settings, ensuring I wouldn't lose any programmed data in case of a power outage—an impressive touch of customer care.

Overall, my experience at AutoZone was truly phenomenal. Freddy L’s knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough approach turned what could have been a routine maintenance visit into a reassuring and educational experience. I highly recommend AutoZone Store #167 and commend Freddy for his outstanding service!
Sidebar: On the same day of this service I had called and spoken with the Store Manager at the Broadway Location and shared this experience with him. Freddy L is an asset to AutoZone and represents the organization superbly.

Autozone is pure garbage

Autozone is pure garbage. Their batteries are garbage and I assume made in China. And they will not honor a batteries warranty.
They also damage your vehicle. Make sure you have a dashcam installed if you let them touch your vehicle. It saved me 3800.00

Online order

I place an online order, because they offered 20% discount and free next day delivery on orders over 100.00.
The local store had the part in stock, but it was going to be next day delivery and I could live with that.
It is now 5 days later, and I still do not have my part.

If their customer service was worth anything, they would have had something like door dash pick the parts up, from the local store, and had them delivered to me.
Or better yet, tell me that since they were not able to uphold their end of the transaction, allow me to pick it up and give me the online price.

I will NEVER do business with them again.

If I could give zero stars

store in the city of Maricopa on John Wayne Parkway . If I could give zero stars, I would. I went into this AutoZone knowing exactly what I needed. When I arrived, there were no other customers in the store. The employee greeted me, I picked up the item I needed, and went to the register to check out. While I was waiting, a woman entered the store and asked the employee for assistance. I could clearly hear their conversation as I continued to wait patiently at the register.

Instead of asking her to wait or letting me check out first—as I was there before her—he helped her find her item and then rang up her purchase, completely ignoring that I had been standing in line first. That’s unacceptable customer service.

I truly dislike bringing race into things, but I can't ignore what happened. I am Black, and she was a white woman. It felt like my presence and my time didn’t matter. I chose not to spend my money there and walked out. I won’t be returning and will let my family and friends in Maricopa know to avoid this store. The other employees who came out from the back didn’t seem to care either, which tells me this might be the norm here

How do they exist along with Amazon?

I believe that their return policy for online purchased items is deliberately being ignored by physical store managers. I purchased a few things online and decided to return them because I ended up not needing them. The manager at the store in Riverview, FL pretty much gave me the run around with the return saying that they would exchange if it was defective, but no returns. Pretty much that every sale is final. I laughed and presented a complain to corporate, they intervened and this incompetent person called me telling that they would take the return. I went back to the store with another item I wanted to return, plus the first one. He had an attitude was rude and unhappy that I won the return argument. He was trying to give me trouble with that second item I was entitled to return if I want to. At the end, I finally was able to return the items, but this is my last time ever buying from autozone. From now on, Amazon it is where I return ANYTHING I want, no questions asked. I dont understand how these type of operations still stay in business. It is a terrible experience, their systems suck, their return barcode are useless and the manager have no idea how anything related to policy works and of top of that act like they own the place.

I RECEIVED THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…

I RECEIVED THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE on 5/27/25 from your “customer service representative”! I called to report that the shipping address I entered didn’t take & that the system was trying to ship to my billing address. He said there was no way to change it then the next thing I know HE CANCELLED MY ORDER?! WTF??!! I need this part for my vehicle. His answer was, “Well I thought you didn’t want it anymore. Now you can reorder it,” Seriously??? These are the kind of idiots you hire to work in your customer service department????? I can’t believe this IDIOT did this! Unacceptable & he should be reprimanded. I have been without my car for weeks now! Auto Zone, you should make this RIGHT!

Before you apply for a job there read this review.

Anyone thinking about going to this subpar rotten company to work come join our group before you waste your time. The pay is going to be about the lowest of any employer anywhere. Even McDonalds and Walmart pays a lot more. You won’t get much over minimum wage and have to do a bunch on computer onboarding to start with and it’s just not worth the hassle. Raises you will get a nickel but not even a quarter raise a year if you even get one. They tell you that you get a vacation after you have been there a year. That’s a lie. You start accumulating 2.5 hours per pay period that’s ever 2 weeks until you build up 40 hours to actually have a paid vacation. Come join our group on face book before you waste time putting in for a job there. AutoZone Rants and Raves. AutoZone is a revolving door and can’t keep people. That’s why you always see a Now Hiring sign at the stores.

AutoZone Duralast poor quality

purchased Duralast 2 ton floor jack. Used once a year ago about end of March/April 2024. On my Toyota yaris (tiny car) change oil
All seemed fine.

Pulled all stuf to change oil again. Jack wouldn't work. The oil had leaked out. Guy at AutoZone said the oil is acidic, if i remember correctly & i could MAYBE find some jack oil on Amazon??? REALLY?? THE OIL PLUG IS SEALED
Why would i want to refill & use jack if oil is leaking out?
THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH ONLY USED ONCE WAS PAST 2 Year warranty

In my opinion DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE BY AUTOZONE "Duralast" its garbage cheap junk

Marvin at Autozone Customer Service department resolved my issue quickly. He was patient and realistic regarding my concerns. Autozone did well with the first lady that assisted me as well, I can’t remember her name. Just like I complained about an issue, I enjoy giving praise and thanks when due.

I wanted to replace my engine air…

I wanted to replace my engine air filter before a long trip. It was out of stock at the local store so I ordered it online to be delivered the next day. It never shipped even after 9 days! I requested a full refund since I ended up purchasing the air filter at a competitor's store. After a week of no refund, I called back . Finally after another 4 days the refund was issued. HORRIBLE!!!
